This is duly noted. My LOE and her letter of sponsorship actually speak to this, but as advised we’ll make her letter more detailed. Thank you for the advise, appreciate JustMellow: Hello Ritzzybaron,
It might make no sense that your sibling is a PR, resides in the same city as your DLI, she is also a co-sponsor of your education in the same country, she is deemed eligible to sponsor; why won't she also not want to shelter you to lessen expenses given the high accommodation cost in Canada?
If I was to be a VO, I will base my assessment on these factors in assessing this part of your application.
No harm spelling it out for the VO. It all depends on how much clarity was given. Get her to do a separate letter stating the availability of space in the house, the number of people that it contained, and the kind of apartment that will be made available to you.
The letter should also contain her employment status, information, and/or details. If she would be responsible for your feeding, it should be stated as well.
It should also help the VO understand how the cost will be offset (especially if she has a family) without it being a threatful financial interference to her (source of) income.
I second her suggestion. Note that the discussion been talked about can be left out too without having issues. Everything boils to how well the study intent was justified.
Best of Luck |

You’re working in a managerial capacity. Why don’t you look at a management program.... Marketing management, Business management, business administration.
Your work experience has given you the background to manage people and the banks business and to learn new skills and be better at what you do, you want to learn from industry professionals on an international level hence the reason why you are opting for the managerial course.
I feel this is easily defendable and logical. My opinion. Best of luck in your eventual choice. |

You need to show a progression. Why do you want a Business degree now after you have a Law degree and Law school certificate? This was clearly seen on your GCM note. Your choice of study does not correlate with your background, more so now that you say you have a law firm. You should be concerned on how to tackle that if possible before you apply again. It’s best to get it right mullingtee: I have a law firm, which I run, the account is active and cac incorporation documents are available I have a pig farm with all relevant title documents I have a phone store with all relevant documents and an active account I have cac documents for a new betting company I am in the process of securing the license My sponsor can transfer a reasonable amount to my personal account as living expenses in canada, he has already paid CAD 10,000 as tutition deposit My sponsor is willing to send mybank statement of his personal account My sponsor is willing to send all relevant documents of his other businesses
All these documents were available prior to the application, however the agent I used refused to use them saying it was too much. Do you think with all these its possible to tackle the issues.
I am more concerned about how to go about the further proof of funds.
Tank you so much for your time |

Thank you very much for your response. It is this sponsor in Nigeria that I do not have. However, my Parents are supporting me and they have made transfers to my account and provided letters of support along with letters of retirement and the positions they attained before they retired. This is actually a re-application. I have IELTS with an overall band 7, mybankstatement of 8M, first semester fees payment, employment letters, payslips, study leave, introduction letter from employer, rent payment receipt, FBN shares statement, pension statement I sponsored myself the first time, I’m just getting a co-sponsor now with additional documentation for a better chance. I’m not sure how else I’m to provide personal assets and financial status *tears* Frankrobbn1: It's not a bad idea if you indicate that she will be providing you with accommodation and financial support for your education in Canada. However, it is imperative that your main sponsor in Nigeria should have a good closing balance far above that of your sister in Canada. This is to demonstrate that you're economically established in Nigeria and the incentives of returning back to Nigeria after studies far outweighs that of Canada. Also, include your personal bank statement to evidence your financial status and savings.
It will end in praise |

Good morning @Frankrobbn1 I see that you’re taking your time this morning to respond to queries. Thank you I asked a question last night but I haven’t gotten a response yet. My sister in Canada is co-sponsoring me. She is funding my GIC account, but should I mention in my SOP that she will be accommodating me for the one year period of my studies? I actually feel I should specify that her sponsorship is purely financial... but do you think mentioning this accommodation arrangement is a big red flag ? Would love to get your thoughts on this. |

Hello House! So I have a question and I will appreciate your insights on this. I was self sponsoring myself but now my sister will be co-sponsoring me. She is a PR in Canada. She feels I should address the issue of accommodation in my LOE.... and we want to know if it is a good idea for me to say I will be staying with her during my study year until I come back to Nigeria.
Ordinarily, I planned to strictly say that her capacity of Sponsorship is finance. But I want to know if it will be okay to state that I will be staying with her for the duration of my studies, to answer the question of my Accommodation. I would like to have some thoughts on this please, many thanks.
PS: She will be responsible for funding my GIC account as part of showing her commitment.
|

This is a serious issue. Olafunds200: Good evening house Please I need your help. I got admission to MacEwan University, paid $10,058 deposit and applied for visa in October for January 2021 intake. Visa wasn’t granted then and i requested for deferment, they didn’t respond but to send $5,000 refunds. No admission how do I want to use the visa if it was granted,so I waited and hoped that something good will happen, meanwhile I had admissions for other schools too. After waiting for 7 months and nothing was coming I was frustrated and had to withdraw the application so as to go for other countries so withdrawal was granted this may and I went back to macewan that I need my complete balance. The responded that they only refund if visa was denied or pay half otherwise. I was like how will I come to school when I didn’t get deferment. Please I dnt understand what’s going on. Please elders in the house look into this matter, |
