The address on my bank statement and my present address are different. It wasn’t an issue. Emmyk: I'd also like to know. I moved to new address recently, then I used it for admission application, meanwhile, the bank account I'm using for POF has my old address.
It's not an issue, I can update my bank address. I'm also interested to know if this is an issue. |

Visa Alert!!! Guys! God has indeed answered my prayers. Yesterday I said that I will get my collection mail today and indeed it happened. My story is this - I had 2 Canada visa refusals, I was so confident that I would get the last one, that I took my study leave from work, meaning I practically resigned and started classes online which I did for 2weeks before the second refusal letter came from Canada. Devastated does not even describe how I felt late September. I had spent my whole year chasing this study dream. Long story short, I got a job offer Nov 1st, it’s fully remote and the pay is times 2 of what I was previously getting and now I have my Uk visa. The God of the 11th hour indeed showed up for me. My timeline is below: School - York St John University Conditional offer - Sept 29th Unconditional - Oct 27th CAS issuance - Nov 15th Visa Application(Priority) - Nov 15th Biometrics - Nov 16th No NSF mail Collection mail - Nov 24th Passport picked up - Nov 24th I give all glory to God and I thank the good people of Nairaland. You guys are simply amazing, I go through this thread everyday to get information and this was how I packaged my application and I met great friends here too along the way. May we all get our heart desires and have our prayers answered. Amen ritzzybaron: I sent a paid mail this afternoon. I will receive my own Collection mail tomorrow in Jesus mighty name. |

Have you contacted your school? Can't your school engage the Home office on your behalf to retrieve your BRP card? I feel like this will be the best way. ocpaschal: The person who paid visa on my behalf was based in UK, so I couldn't have known about the BRP collection process, and the third party selected "post office". The person didn't realize that in the CAS letter, there's a BRP collection code that gives the university the permission to collect BRP on your behalf, and i didn't notice this too. Sadly right now, the UK Home Office haven't replied yet by mail despite sending msg to Ukvi through their gov.uk website since last Monday concerning the BRP delay.. 3weeks don pas already.. |

University of Chester asked for my POF and past visa refusal letters before I was offered a conditional admission. iyutal: I really do not think any school would ask for your POF before offering you admission.... |

Do better Aprokodaughter: People when dem don book at 8am till 5pm nko? Make dem wait for you because you don't want to spend your whole day lols.
Even people that they book at 8am sleep there. Anyway go there early hopefully they answer you. |

I didn’t use UBA, so I am not 100% sure. However the following should apply, 1) Have an account with the bank. 2) Go with photocopies of your 1st degree certificate, Offer letter from your UK Uni, bio data page, transfer advice from the school showing the swift code/iban. Just let the branch know that you want to initiate a Form A payment and you will be given a form to fill. Cheers monvous: Pls what is the process of using form A in UBA to make your school deposit...I mean what document is required and the process pls |

GTBank’s turn around time is 2weeks. I am currently stuck… please flee from GTB. RetiredAdult: I’ve not seen anyone say they used GTbank to pay their fees. I’ve seen more of UBA amongst other banks. Is GTBank really that bad? Has anyone ever used them? How many days does it take? |

You can direct this question to the moniker I quoted. Cheers Lekods04: Are you sure it's 517 or you want to say it's 571. Infact OANDA rate itself is not less than 564.
Just to confirm |

Sigh. Today makes it a week I initiated Form A with Gtbank and I’ve been begging them to debit me.How I wish I opened a UBA account and used UBA AKALAMAGBO: UBA is blazing hot.... Got debited within 48 hours and got my telex within those hours with the rate of 517 naira to pounds and just a service charge of 11,500 naira for the service.... UBA remains the best |

And your GTBank dollar card was funded? Have you been able to make the IHS payment now? lawali: Pls is anyone experiencing issues making payment for IHS or from yesterday till now?
The transaction was declined more than 5 times using my dollar card and have to start another application. It has declined twice again after that. I have called GTB and they confirm no issue with the card.
Also, I am unable to book appointment on TLS Ikeja for a dependent I have completed his application. The site is forcing to pick super priority I don’t need/have money.
Kindly help if you have information on above 2 issues. Thanks |

Hi Tawa, I had this concern too myself. My school asked about past visa refusals to other countries and even asked for the refusal letters before my pre-cas interview. I had past refusals from Canada…. So I was more than excited when I got my unconditional offer. I felt free because I told the truth and I wasn’t hindered in anyway. What if these Uk schools share information with the embassy? And then the info you provide to the school and what you present to the embassy on visa refusals do not correlate? Will that not be a problem? There is obviously a reason these schools are asking about it. This is my opinion. tawa89: The reason I'm asking is because I once got an admission in an Australian university, when I was filling the immigration questionnaire, I added that I have been denied visa to Australia before, my former workplace tried to get us to cover an event in Australia then, the school withdrew the application! I applied to another school informing them of the previous visa rejection, they offered me an admission and they said I have to pay the full tuition fee instead of the part fees that others were paying before they can proceed further, and I couldn't. I confided in some friends who live in Australia, and they blamed me for telling the school that the schools have no business with these, that I should have included them in my visa application when I was done with the school admission process and I was ready to apply for a visa, not the school questionnaire. I don't have any visa refusals from UK because I have never applied there but I'm worried if I include in the school's questionnaire they might discontinue my admission like the Australian school did years ago. I want to find out if there are others that have had visa refusals and the schools didn't withdraw their admission offers. P.s the refusals were on my expired passport not the current one I'm using. CC : Help me out here bro @Justwise |

Got it. There’s really no free meal anywhere anyways. Coming back is the price. Thanks for clarifying Benediktejike: It depends on the scholarship.. chevening and commonwealth requires you to come back. And you somehow can't escape it cos they are in contact with the UK embassy and home office |

Thank you once again. I've gotten my medical appointment set for next week. phadriz: Walk in is not allowed again in IOM Lagos, just send the mail you will be given a very close date, that's what I did for my family but if the date given to you wasn't favorable you may reply the mail to appeal for a closer date.
I insist don't go there if you don't have appointment, because you won't be attended to, it is clearly stated in the memo paste on their gate.
I wish you best of luck. |
