gracedson: They did not ask for the passport photograph, but they asked for International passport. Hi Grace, how are you today? Maybe you should edit that initial biometric post, because I’ve seen some replies and many people actually think you were referring to coming with a passport photograph... whereas you meant International passport. Just for clarity sake and for others yet to visit this thread, I will suggest you edit. |

Thank you for this Boss. This was really helpful. Zodiacwarrior: Good day @ritzzybaron
I feel this medical update is done randomly but doesn't excede 2weeks when I did mine was told a week and it took 10working days excluding Saturdays and Sundays while some said they got it under a week so just be expecting it in the new week...
And for all those who are waiting for qlife update qlife does not send mails to let you know that your medicals has been updated likewise ircc you just login to gckey and get the shocking message that it has been updated.
Hope this helps. |

Hello. I’m not sure who told you this, but you should go through this thread. You will observe that people request for their GCM notes themselves via 3rd party GCM service. I feel like you have to be proactive. Amenmay: order for your gcms notes too
I was told that GCMS notes are not been ordered by anyhow person, it must be ordered by a Canadian Immigration Lawyer. |

Amenmay: Hi All, Does it mean that IRCC does not request for medicals again? Is it advisable to go for upfront medical? Application submitted on January 21, 2021 till date they have not request for medicals. Application showing we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements for months now this has been on my application status. Ha! Since January, that’s a longtime. Please book for your medicals ASAP. You should order for your GCM notes to know the status of your application as well. You will testify soon. |

Thank you Justmellow for the explanation, this is well understood. JustMellow: Hello Ritzzybaron,
Word count or number of pages isn't a rule when writing a letter. However, it is good to keep it concise and straightforward, but it is better to have it address all grounds of concerns and engaging.
The letter or number of pages should be written based on the application/applicant's situation. A 1-page letter can get approval so is a 7-pages letter and vice versa.
It is best to worry about the content and the audience rather than the number of pages. A 1-page letter is mostly suitable for a less or noncomplex application.
Shawn55ng: it is advised not to submit this letter to avoid plagiarism. These ideas are no longer unique and there is a need to further improve on the ideas/letter. Follow GCMSWriters on IG, Twitter, or Telegram. Reach out to them for a professionally well-written letter.
Best of Luck |

. theyjyte: I would advise to avoid hinting that you could resign from your current work, instead try link how ur about to acquire expertise would be of relevance to ur current job and industry at large Because I feel they will want to know instant and long term market viability of the course in your home country. Something worth spending ur savings and investment on. So try tell them how web development will put u miles ahead your colleagues at work and will make ur employer see you as a valuable asset. You can highlight one small improvement you plan to add to the existing mobile application system of ur current employer. Then in a long run hw u plan to train and invest in human capital development in your country

Medical examination happened on 21st April.
Medical updated to pass today.
I sent email to Lagos Canadian Visa office four days ago. I did so after emails to Nairobi yielded no result.
We should endeavor to send emails to both Nairobi and Lagos, because no one knows which office may act on them. |

peruxie: You will have to defer to that February, unless you want to change school and start the whole application process for a new school all over again. You will travel in January with your old and new LOA, while in Canada you apply for study permit extension. Okay! This is not for me but applies to the moniker I responded to. Hopefully they see it. |

TennieYF: Hello everyone, which is cheaper for paying tuition fees, Form A or using a Dom account. Would appreciate a response. Thank you! I think it’s the same. No one is cheaper! They’re both FX transfers, the only difference is that your bank is initiating the Form A on your behalf while on your dorm account, you are the operator. Telex charge, transfer charge and VAT applies on both transactions at the same rate. |

Congratulations! It’s obvious you’re already enjoying that side. Thanks for sharing your experience. We will all have landing testimonies in Jesus name. Kayyyy: Landing gist!! From Abuja to Toronto using Ethiopian airline; My flight was on the 17th of May by 1:35pm but I got to the airport by 9:15 to check in and prepare myself for excess luggage (which at the end, I didn’t get)
At the Abuja airport; they asked for; Passport, with stamped study visa Enrollment letter COVID test Hotel quarantine plans Flight ticket.
Little advice; you could wrap your luggage at the airport cause of change of aircraft to about tear or manhandling of your luggage. I think it’s 500 naira per baggage. To be honest, the food served on Ethiopian airline wasn’t bad for me, we were served basmati rice with either beef, chicken or curry sauce.
At Addis Abba I was only asked for my passport and boarding pass. Lay over was 2 hours. We stopped at Dublin for refuel but we didn’t get down from the plane. We were there for like an hour and 30 mins or so.
On our way to Canada, we were given 3 different forms to fill, which they asked for at the Canadian immigration center at the Pearson airport.
At the Toronto airport, asked for my passport and for me to drop my face mask so they could see my face, and give the reason for my trip. Then moved to a different side, where I was asked for enrollment letter, the forms I filled on the plane, COVID test result, ArriveCAN, admission letter.
One of the forms was signed and stamped. Then I moved to immigration side where I was asked questions like why I am in Canada, name of school, course, previous education, school fees receipt, passport, filled forms, enrollment letter. After everything my passport was stamped and I was given the official study permit. And they explained things like I am legible to work for some hours per week, and when the study permit will expire and co.
Went down stairs, got my luggage, then signed up for health switch for COVID test. Took a covid test and was given a personal COVID test kit to be taken on Day 8 of quarantine. Then hotel buses came to pick us from the airport depending on our individual hotels. Like 6 in the bus. I booked Crowne plaza, I paid $950 (USD) cash at the hotel. Will be leaving the hotel tomorrow morning ( done with quarantine).
So that’s it. |

I did my medicals on May 15th and sent my medical slip via webform that night. My result definitely didn’t get to them that day but my eligibility started last night. So I think we really should just be optimistic about our applications. Anything can happen. There’s no need to fret. |

The devil is a liar. I think you can go o, and ask IRCC for an extension on your stay period later when the new acceptance letter has been issued to you by your school.... Please Gurus in the house should help with this Ysakaws1: So my passport has been stamped and received. Then it’s time to secure a seat for my program, PGD Network Security, and UWinnipeg is telling me the program is full and I will be waitlisted or should defer to the next intake. Next intake for my program is February 23. Me that my soul and body is already in Canada like this. Why will I now still wait till almost March next year before moving?? Been racking my head for a solution since, but can’t come up with any. Is it possible to get another program, or even another school for FALL this year, then update IRCC?? Is there still hope for me this year like this? |
