Honestly inasmuch as I detest PDP as a party, Aregbesola is a satanic being that plunged the state into huge debt(second in the country), slashed salaries by half, inflated the budget for construction of roads and still rigged this election

If you have any iota of humanity in you, you'd join hands in booting out Aregbesola's cronies from Osun state, I schooled in OAU so I experienced firsthand how this heartless man was defiant in paying salaries

When you see PhD lecturers working as bricklayers to make ends meet then in Osun state you'd know the governor has a heart of stone angry angry angry

Or, is CBN governor only good for Igbo and Hausa people?
It shouldn't be based on tribe or religion but competence. If buhari had removed emefiele igbos would have screamed themselves hoarse but look at the mess he has created, so to me if the most competent is a Hausa man he should be made the governor not minding that your likes will readtrubal and religious meanings to it

HOW CAN A SOUTHERN YOUTH PARTICULARLY FROM OIL PRODUCING STATES SURVIVE THE HARDSHIP OF UNEMPLOYMENT IN NIGERIA WHEN THE CRUDE OIL THAT PASSES THROUGH HIS BACKYARD IS HIJACKED BY NORTHERN POLITICAL ELITES WHEN THEY BRING THEIR OWN BROTHERS AND SISTERS TO WORK IN NNPC, NGC, ETC PUSHING ASIDE THE NATIVES OF THE LAND.

ALL THE MILITARY OR UNIFORM JOBS OF SENIOR POSITIONS ARE HIJACKED BY NORTHERNS WHO ARE NOT FUNDING THE NATIONAL TREASURY.
Don't be biased in your analysis, every FG agencies follow federal character in their appointments, that's why you will see a Hausa man in nnpc and will have an Ijaw man in a federal university in sokoto. FYI, most of the oil wells and indigenous oil companies operating in Nigeria belongs to South southerners from Edo to always ibom, any Niger delta youth that is a graduate and is skilled is employed FACT. only those lazy unskilled uneducated Niger delta youths are jobless.
While northerners were joining the military southerners were going to school fast forward 30 years most of those northern soldiers are now officers while the southerners are now professors.... Southerners control the education sector, even in northern schools the lecturers are southerners, the economy is firmly in the hand of southerners so what's the hoolabaloo about most senior military officers being northerners?

Lol...Onos kpelebe

Which one you come hang head for hand na abi agbada don hook for barb wire??

While I frown at these boys conning people off their hard earned money to live luxuriously and in full support of a clamp down on their activities, I'm sure a lot of people are reasonably surprised at the gusto and vigour of these clamp downs.

Well, the honest truth is that, the Northeen elites are deeply troubled and very paranoid at the way the SS and SW boys go about pulling their own weight albeit illegally, caring less about their politics and looting even going as far as sharing a fence with them as neighbours lol.

The Northern youths who have been so beat down and oppressed over the years with zero education by their elites now see these young boys pulling big whips and mansions which they now end up being maiguards to, a situation that is threatening to usher in the revolt against their elites. The kidnappings on Kd/Abj road, Katsina and the banditry in Zamfara are just tips of the icebergs.

The truth is they feel their youths are getting influenced by the high life displayed by the Southern youths and this spells doom for them the elites...
I disagree with you....the southern youths flaunt ill-gotten wealth, not genuine wealth hence it's bad influence on northern youth and if there is one thing the northern elites are afraid of its the negative influence that will have on their youths and society. Assuming I follow your line of arguments about the haste of the arrests then it only shows abhorrence of evil by northern elites unlike southern elites that encourage yahoo yahoo.
I schooled up north, the feeling in my school was that its we southerners that are bringing evils of cultism, alcoholism, prostitution ,exam malpractice to their schools..... All the things we see as normal down south

Bross I don't understand what you are saying? Nigeria is for Nigerians? I can travel to every part of the country? There are Hausa, Yoruba, Igala and the rest in South East? So there's no big deal there!
Direct your enquiries to the Op, he's the one saying ibos are not moving to west and north, I don't see a big deal but the Op feels otherwise and actually try to say it's not happening. The fact is whether for trade, green pasture for pleasure or adventure the ibos are moving in droves out of the east towards west and north and there after find those places more comfortable than home

So a business Man who comes from the East to clear his Cargo in Lagos for onward migration to the East and different parts of the country has migrated to Lagos ? A Teenager who comes to stay with an uncle or cousin living and Working with the Federal Government or extra Ministerial Department has migrated To Lagos ? And the igbo teenager who has come to process travel documents with the Embassies in Lagos has migrated to Lagos. The Igbo business man or woman who comes to shop for goods to resell elsewhere has migrated to Lagos ?
Well the Op is saying no to that and I said he should talk to those youths who spend so many years after arriving in Lagos trying to process travel documents, don't go back home after clearing their goods and instead find Lagos more comfortable,....those selling gala in hold up have no business being there according to the Op they should be back in the east but that is not what's happening...

Comparing previous admins to Buhari admin only shows what a failure Buhari is, he’s the worst of all bad governments in Nigeria since independence. We voted GEJ out and voted a catastrophe in and that’s why some people regret today.

Well, yes, millions didn’t have jobs, more millions are out of jobs Buhari made a bad situation worse. You mentioned “abundance”, what abundance please? How much was oil in OBJ’s government? and don’t mention the value of money without adding double digital inflation too which essentially makes it worth the same then and now.
Anyone who genuinely voted for Buhari in 2015 and was expecting him to make Nigeria eldorado in 4 years given the rot he met and politics of hatred and antagonism by the opposition which greeted his first tenure is only living in a fools paradise......
For many of us no regrets and that's why we voted for him again.
Because of all the rot things will get rough before it gets better .

As if millions had jobs before Buhari came to power,....even in the days of abundance under Pdp there was still high unemployment and widespread poverty. The point is that company shot themselves in the leg by abandoning their core mandate and being lazy and rent seeking....... Let me ask you would anyone lose sleep if government decide to reverse the privatization of power sector? I won't lose sleep because it's not done anywhere that you buy an entity cheaply and the property owners are still giving you back part of the money to run the entity, for over 5 years no investments, refuses to meter everyone as they should y ET we will complain no light..... You didn't read the story or decided to ignore the part where it said the company abused the waivers granted it, instead of producing sheets locally and developing local capacity in that regard they instead imported heavily and the voodoo economics of pdp era allowed that to go on .... If they had developed local capacity they will not be affected by forex because they will not need it and rather export and make forex for Nigeria.

Anyone who don't want to see any difference in pmb second term are free to go elsewhere

You spoke my mind..... The next CBN governor is likely Bayo Adelabu given his antecedent as CBN deputy governor operations.... Nairaland has many sections and they try to ensure balance in choosing topics that will appear on front page from the numerous sections that's why you find some front page posts offensive .

PoliticsRe: Is Population Of The Northern A Reality Or A Fraud? by Rolings: 5:01pm On Apr 25, 2019
Curlieweed:
Na war to you oh. You be real defender of the North, sha. Chill your warrior mode and read what I wrote.

I didn't categorically say that you don't necessary have a larger population, I just said that there is no way of knowing for sure because the normal process of conducting population counts (at least for those without the benefit of a diploma in statistics) is to do a census. This normal process has been mared by conflicting group interests.
Means you didn't read where I explained where that pre independence the southern protectorate included present day benue, southern taraba and eastern kogi but at independence those areas for reasons best known to the colonial masters were classified as northern Nigeria and by the time of 1963 census the population of the north is greater than that of the South
This is the main reason why the south has clung to the belief that the census figures were doctored . The British made the population of the north greater than the South's by adding places mentioned above to northern region NOT because the figures were inflated. That's my point.
Many in the south see the north as sparsely populated and arid which isn't true. There are arid parts but the vast majority of the north has vegetation with rivers and streams running through with great irrigation and huge mineral deposits . A trip round the north will be an eyeopener for many southerners that their press has been biased against the north.
PoliticsRe: Is Population Of The Northern A Reality Or A Fraud? by Rolings: 2:46pm On Apr 25, 2019
Curlieweed:
This is funny. How can you tell the population of a place by simply visiting the place? You be mathematical magician?

The truth is simply that we don't know what our popuilation is? It could be higher or lower than the official numbers. All these argument about whether the South or North is more populated is just inelegant guesswork.

There is a perverse incentive inbuilt into our attempts at counting our population. As far as political power and government funds are rationed on the basis of population, you can only hope against hope for accurate population numbers.
I never said I have just visited northern Nigeria, I said I HAVE VISITED AND LIVED in most of northern Nigeria and YES I know more that YOU about population....having a diploma in statistics.
From your submissions it's obvious you have not been to the north so I can excuse your ignorance.
A part of learning is showing willingness to know what you don't know from those who know ,from all our discussion you have not shown that willingness and instead chose to cling to the apron of lies and propaganda (your south controls the media so the ropaganda is easy) that you have been fed., Unfortunately there's a limit to what I can do to make you see things differently and will rather let it go and hope you will learn from another person when you have decided to

Sir what you are saying?, isn't the South more conducive, more productive, more wealthier and more safer than Core north?

How can NW and NE be more populated than SW?, how is that possible?, let's not even Add SE and SS to the list. The population of Nigeria is a big fraud. I dare say North is not more than 30 million people.

One day, just one day... until then, keep deceiving yourselves.

The article is not straight forward.... I think the police is only trying to save face for murder and reprisal attack.

- How did bandits come into the picture?
- Were the bandits armed to have attacked the hausas?
- How does 6 unarmed alleged bandits attack a whole hausa community.

Maybe the prince and his team went to collect levies from the community, fight broke out and police killed two members from the royal family...
stop being sentimental , if you are from that community accept the truth and stop twisting the story to suit your narrative , blame the criminal elements in that community that attacked the hausa cattle market .
but of course the narrative you want to hear is that it was the hausas that attacked first , children of hate
youy want to whip up sentiments against innocent people while absolving criminal elements in your community
