Below are photos of street seller sighted in New York City traffic. The recent ban on street and road side trading in Lagos by the Lagos State Government as been met with divided opinions..
This does not mean the guy wasn't breaking a law and if caught will get punished. Also there are areas where street trading and hawking is strictly forbidden in America.your pic shows a lone hustler and he isn't running in front of moving vehicles like ours here.

atuanso:
Am thoerizing this because from historical contest, light skin women were rare in a predominantly black society such as ours and as such scarcity would have increase the value and demand for this sought.

however, as more and more people continue in this line, of toning and bleaching, the society would be saturated by light skined individuals. thereby creating shortage of dark skined.

at this point, dark skinned will become rare and valued and more sought after. only this time greatly. since their are no immediate means of turning light skin to dark.

just a thoery.
Just like being Big and Busty is no longer fashionable , every woman wanna go slim these days . I agree with your theory Bro soon man may even start finding fair women irritable

Policewahala:
What are you talking about? Did you read where I said some of these Police men don't put on Uniforms when searching for boys who dress nicely? We were taken to the Police station and exploited.

Do You know one thing about things like these? When you're not the victim, you'll sit in the comfort of your home to proffer solutions. My bro, I was once like that until it happened to me. I once said I will never give any police man a kobo. All that changed when I was faced with them...
When faced with such situations one tend to just try to settle them and go his own way . Maybe it's because its your first time or you have given up on their intimidations, From your explanations it seem so . You could have Insisted on calling a lawyer for whatever crimes they were charging you for and if it gets to that i guess you can afford it. The point is things are not that difficult with the police if you know what to do when faced with their harassment and intimidations . Let's always be bold and confront the bad eggs in the force .

let's leave Gej outta d scene a little. Mr before d emergence of gej as d president, has d nigerian state bin fair to the Niger Delta? has d fg initiated any form of development like dey did in lagos and abuja for d Niger Delta before gej era? so bkos gej didn't do something for his ppl ,dey should not agitate for something dat is ryt which is self determination? u ppl r just wicked. u r quick to support one nigeria but rather Dan support equality for everyone and tru federalism as most advanced countries operate,u are typing poo
NDDC was created before Gej it's former name was OMPADEC . Bringing Jonathan into the aregument was because he was part of the processes that set up the amnesty programme and ministry of Niger delta (both created by UMYA) and afterwards he was president for 5years during which time he has the opportunity to do something tangible about the Niger delta issues which he failed to do . A serious minded son of the Niger delta would have done a lot more thatn Gej did when he had the time. The agitation for a Niger D eltan as president wasn't just to balance the equation politically but also with the belief that a son of the soil who understands the plight of Niger deltans will be able to solve their problems. Don't tell me he can't do everything for his people alone as he was president of Nigeria and not Niger delta because that is a dumb argument .

This is what happens when you appoint incompetent people to head agencies, The Daura secret service (DSS) is a disgrace to intelligent agencies worldwide. Very loudmouthed and indiscreet, Just to please their boss the dullard and his zombie followers. In fact, NDA already said those people arrested aren't their men, I saw it in the news yesterday.
Tell Tompolo, Goodluck Jonathan and the entire Ijaw nation and their PDP sympathizers to call their boys to order . Goodluck had the chance to develop the Niger Delta ,as a participant in the process that led to the amnnesty programme and creation of Niger delta ministry he also had 5 years to make sure the region has sustainable development but what did he do he shared the oil windfall with his PDP polithiefcians and left his own region to rot. Shame you all to now unleash these criminals with our stolen wealth to destroy the oil industry but your plans will not work .

Seun:
As a muslim, would you prefer to live in an Islamic country governed by Islamic laws and principles, rather than a secular country which defends the rights of women, muslims, christians, atheists, lesbians, gays, scantily clad babes, drinkers, and all minorities, and treats them equally?

If your answer is 'yes,' what are some of the ways in which you feel that an Islamic country would be better for your life than a secular country?
Oga Seun so you had to "lie" about being a Muslim in order to post this topic when everyone on nairaland know you ain't religious.
Anyway
My take is that no Muslim will be able to truly practice his faith in a secular society. Infact aĺl muslims should live in a society governed by Islamic law ,anything on the contrary is tantamount to not living according to Islamic injunctions .

Apart from the religious books and the Prince by Nicollo machiaveli the rest are not worth the time. Majority were written by Capitalist minded authors for advanced capitalist societies which have little bearing with a typical African and his view of the world. I have said it that I prefer to read a motivational book by an African using African examples of sucess than reading a western book full of examples from the west .

I didn't expect this type of comment from you. He is not SELLING the schools but going into public private partnership. Education is currently free in Oyo state but at what cost, poor infrastructures , no training to teachers ,and the decline in the state revenue means the free system can't be continued at least for now. Citizens should be able to at least pay a token for the education of their children . If you think education is expensive try ignorance

Already the sw is dropping fast in the education sector with states like Osun dragging position with yobe state.

You can't put a prize on education.

PoliticsRe: When Will NDA Blow Up A Pipeline In Southeast? by Rolings: 3:49pm On May 26, 2016
bloodyBLOGGER:
Everyday on NL, I keep hearing talks of how the oil in the Niger delta is actually situated in the SE but piped down to the SS to make it look like it belongs to the Niger delta. I also hear talks of how the SS is also part of the 5% and belong to biafra.

Since the advent of the Niger delta avengers, pipeline vandalism by them has been confined to the SS alone. Their every act has been applauded by SE youths cos I see their comments on facebook and twitter a lot.

I ask, if the SE is truly the owner of all the oil the Niger deltans are claiming to have, how come the NDA is yet to blow up a single pipeline in the SE?

How come the NDA is only interested in destroying the land of the minority SS while championing a biafran course which is an igbo idea?

Will the igbos applaud them in the same manner they are doing if it was abia or anambra they were polluting?
OP you beat me to creating this thread, ever since I saw the release of NK as one of what NDA I advocating for I knew that the so called NDA have been braiinwashed by Ipod if its not ipod thats behind NDA . All the pipeline vandalization has been in delta rivers and bayelsa parricularly ijaw enclaves. Ijaw leaders should call their boys to order, GEJ lost the election after a good fight don't be sore losers .
