If a country cannot efficiently muster up enough resources to efficiently secure refineries, power plants and oil pipelines from sabotage, that country hasn't earned the right to be playing with around with nuclear energy. Or are you waiting to hear that a nuclear power plant was bombed by Boko Haram before you finally start learning to blame buhari for the state of the nation and not Jonathan.

Or better yet, shall we wait till you hear that Boko Haram raided a Nuclear power plant of it resources which they intend to make a particular flavour of suicide bomb or IED that nobody in the world likes before you finally develop some common sense.

Besides, the amount of resources require to build, operate and maintain a nuclear power plant is sufficient enough to give a hassle free regular power plant, devoid of nuclear waste - which I doubt we can effectively handle.

Besides, investing in a nuclear energy is a long term plan and has no impact on the economy now as far as the current Energy framework is concerned.

Go and do research on how whole cities where laid to waste in countries like Japan, ukraine, belarus and russia. From Fukushima to chernobyl, how people suddenly started exhibiting genetic mutations as a result of the effects of nuclear meltdowns in Japan and maybe the limitations of your actual age - not your football age - and reasoning may dawn on you.

It will shock you the amount of nuclear activities going on already in the country.Apart from power nuclear physics is aplicable to many fields some of which Nigeria is already benefiting from. So attending a nuclear summit by a Nigerian president is not out of place. This is an area even your hero was passionate about even as at 2014 but you won't know because it's obvious you don't know nothing about what you're arguing about.

Nigeria cannot have any access to nuclear technology. Part of it being the insecurity, lack of technology or expertise. Also, An unwritten understanding amongst world power that prevents underdeveloped countries like Nigeria learning the technology and if im not mistaken, Nigeria signed a treaty that excludes it from anything nuclear. Not to talk of the environmental disaster when any part of the process go awry.

Buhari is just wasting taxpayers money with his travel. If infrastructures are in place and are working efficiently. Investors will always come. This begging approach will only enslave us and provide room for exploitation from the big economies like china

The past government has scared investors away with corruption and weak governance structure , PMB has to go to these people meet them one on one and reassure them to come back to Nigeria . It's not only infrastructures that is scaring them but massive corruption and weak institutions

I feel it is morally wrong because if a states has had up to 20 governors and they are all alive a time will come when paying them their pension alone will be the only thing the state allocation will be able to do.

Applies to States that have such pension laws and I don't think it's possible for a state to have up to 20 past governors alive .

The reason behind the passage of the pension law is to discourage state governors and their deputies from being too preoccupied with amassing wealth while in office due to the fear of the unknown after leaving office thereby allowing them to focus on providing good governance. The law is that any reitred public officer that is on pension should not hold any paid public position again. since nobody is enforcing the law,This law is being violated by most politicians who don't have the kind of legal luminaries Jagaban have. Since leaving office as governor of Lagos state Jagaban has never held any paid public position. Your frustration and anger should be directed at former governors who graduate to senators . Many politicians are giulty of violating this law from PMB ,BRF, Akume, Gidswill Akpabio, etc but NOT jagaban . Hater go and die. Leave Tinubu alone .

Oyo state is 28,454km2, Igbo land is 41,440km2, please know the difference. And mind you land space doesn't translate to economic progress.

Main iboland is restricted to the 5 states , ethnic ibos are found in other states like delta, benue , kogi, rivers etc but that doesn't make those states iboland . The reintroduction of subsidy is a palliative measure meant to cushion the effects besides the government will be paying very little @ about 6naira/litre compared to over 35naira/litre previously .making a plitical gain out of it is not the issue but interest of the masses.

Things were not this bad because the previous government was throwing thrillions of naira in subsidy payments at the problems ..dubious contracts, bunkering, pipeline vandalism are other contributing factors .while tackling all these factors the government will be dealing with various stakeholders including labour..oil marketers..host communities ..players in the upstream and downstream etc some of whom are the saboteurs and were feeding far on the irregularities .the pain is temporary and is worth bearing for one time solution to the lingering petrol scarcity .

If you remove the government will any government coming in now make the queues disappear overnight? The government is working round the clock to fix the refineries , fix the depots,repair the pipelines and build a strategic reserve to have fuel always . All these takes time and would have been easier of the past governments have been as serious as this government is. Things are very bad, because of the dilapidated infrastructures at the depots and perforated pipelines all fuel imports have to be trucked from Lagos to everypart of the country that is not even economical and logistic nightmare. If I remember correctly when subsidy was stopped in January we were told the price may be reviewed by the next quater but instead of reviewing the price the government decided to cushion the effect by introducing subsidy again temporarily . It's not economic suicide and not alien in economics as governments put policies in place from time to time to achieve their objectives having the people in mind.

So all this "opposition " rantings by fayose is to become VP hmmmmmm interesting. I guess the guy already has ipob/south east backing because the only qualification to get south east backing is to hate buhari and always abuse him. One then wonder will the ibos allow yorubas/north produce president/vice president for two times consecutively ? What is there for the south east politically than? Few days back (30th March 2016) APC government went public to declare 100 billions of Naira monthly saving through fuel subsidy removal.

Few days later (3rd April 2016) same government is now announcing the returns of petrol subsidy by N5.84 for every litre of premium motor spirit consumed in Nigeria. Please, why are they returning the alleged fraudulent fuel subsidy payment

Making a simple calculation on the impact of this returned fuel subsidy: {5.84 x 41 Million Liters consumed per day x by 30 days = N7.1 Billion monthly fuel subsidy payment.}

You will all recall Alhaji Aliko Dangote predicted that the removal of fuel subsidy will make Nigerians to exchange $1 for N500. (We almost hit the target).

Criminalizing fuel subsidy payment and outright removal without finding a lasting solution to the variables in itself is a FRAUD.

Isn't it obvious that the cabal won't let petrol price be stable unless you pay them . NNPC owes the cabal unpaid subsidy and because of that they refused to bring in more petrol . In the first quater allocation NNPC got about 70% but the marketers that have the remaining 30% refused importing hence the shortfall and fuel scarcity . The marketers blackmailed kachikwu to increase their allocation and now that they have gotten more than 50% of the allocation the scarcity of petrol will disappear in no time . Once kachikwu suceeds in fixing the refineries and build a reserve we won't be seeing this kind of scarcity again. The Cabals have to be neutralized if we are to enjoy petrol in this country and I believe in this government to do that .

It was actually one of the few things he said that I agreed with but criticized his approach to it, he couldn't surmount the hurdles in his way mainly political which saw him unable to handle the situation well

If really the budget was padded then I expect them to pass a far less budget and not reduce it by just 200billion.

If you don't have other documents you will have to pay more . Learners permit, driving school cerificate , certificate of road worthiness . If you know someone and the person just want to help you peocess it without getting anything from you he will collect 12,000naira for the licence and the documents mentioned above . If the person charges anything above 12,000naira the rest is his. However you can decide to go through the processes yourself and get your license if you have the time.
