I applied January, got NSE request early February to submit mybankstatement, i was not this equipped with information then so i sent a mail declining the request without any reason. I think that was my mistake. I should have either ignored or sent a mail giving a valid reason for not being able to provide it. I did not want to liquidate and I was more concerned about making interest income. dyce101: |

It was my first application unfortunately, the application was refused 2 days after I failed to provide it. Till now it's still showing action required. Peacekid: 1 Like |

i will advise, before you embark on anything, download your statement and if possible send it to them again. i am resending the statements more like a reminder and to inform them that i believe the statements with them may have been stale/over 4 months old. However, ensure it is readily available as my own intention of moving the funds is to put it in a fixed deposit instead of it just sitting in a bank account earning nothing. prada1: 2 Likes |

So I duno if it’s allowed here but I don’t intend to break the rules. I felt I can share what I gained. I recently listened to an Instagram live discussion on KSA’s page with an ex-VO, Annie who is now an immigration consultant. It was helpful as I was able to see through the eyes of a typical visa officer. Even though their views may vary as everyone is different. it was insightful hearing from the other side and what she generally thinks about the high visa refusals from Nigeria. See link if you wish to watch and if the link is not accessible, go to KSAs page and search for the interview he had with Anie. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CQmCeaoHU21/?utm_medium=share_sheet 11 Likes |

Almost the 5th note I am seeing in addition to mine. You order for your notes 2-3 months after applying and you realize 5 cad has gone to waste. I think it’s now a tactic, it’s not a coincidence. Unfortunately there’s nothing much to deduce, wait it out and if you have been praying alone, add fasting to it and at the back of your mind just take it that no news is good news. Someone had eligibility blank and she got PPR, just can’t determine the assurance from just one persons case. Ketima: 2 Likes |

So I sent a mail to the MP in Victoria, she forwarded it to another MP who was the caseworker for exact region covering my school. I wrote a very compelling mail stating reasons why I needed a swift response from IRCC. I was asked for more information which I just provided. I do hope that this prompts IRCC to make a decision. #April17th applicant 10 Likes |

Exactly how my notes looked 2 months into my application. Sadly there’s not much information to draw conclusions from so fingers crossed. I will say order another note after one month from now. My first notes were ordered 28th May, got it 28th June Ordered another 12th July, hoping to get PPR before it arrives 12th August. aWITNESS: |

Finally I find someone in the same boat. My eligibility review started 1 day after submission. By the time my notes came, eligibility was blank. All I can deduce is it has not started or they intentionally concealed the information. But for what reason? So all I can depend on is to believe no news is good news Perseverer: 1 Like |

It is a good thing you are seeing that activity. recommencing is good, it means with the updated document, its as though your application took a step backward because they need to verify that again. it's also good you were proactive because it could come in form of an ADR and cause another delay. Mine I see no clues. the only thing i know consider reason for the delay is because during active review, i reforwarded one of my IMM forms because i forgot to declare my denial although i made reference to it in my SOP. but haba, since same April that i corrected it, it haf do. my only worry is, my application isnt following the usual dynamics i have seen here. i have seen people's eligibility starting months after submitting. my own eligibility changed and started like a day after i submitted, and that since April 18. it has been that way ever since. no ghost update since May when i passed my meds. gcms notes eligibility blank. so its a really worrisome situation. i drafted it myself, and a member of my board of directors signed. it really isn't an issue. my first application was delayed and they are only trying to be sure if i am still going because i need like a month to handover and to employ someone else. Anon123: |

same here. i had to send another mail to Nairobi yesterday because my employer who approved a study leave asked for feedback since i indicated i will be leaving in August, they ought to have gotten my handover and actively looking for a replacement by now. i never expected it to take this long. the wait is traumatizing, the self-doubt, fear, sleepless nights, anxiety. It will end in praise and it will become a thing of the past soon. EmeeNaka: |

undergrad may not work. it is not logical for any employer to give you study leave for more than 1 year if you ask me Kriptune: |

mine i think was majorly cos i did not give a reason for rejecting the request, or maybe i should just have ignored it without saying anything. my bank was on the list of mybankstatement users so in their head, what is the excuse. it may not be something to be scared about. i just stressed the fact that from research, they really like to see cash naira or dollar, fixed deps and co documents are preferred maybe for 2nd year if course is 2 years. this is just my opinion and experience it does not mean i am totally correct. dotoracs: 1 Like |

you need 10k cad for first year plus your tuition balance, do the maths. did your sponsor have more than enough especially to take care of himself, ideally maybe logically another 4-5m separately and/or hes making income monthly for upkeep? Aissy: |

this may be a red flag. i may be wrong. so while you are studying, and probably working in canada for 20 hours, you will still have an obligation to your employer here. i mean, its abit off. if you did not get a study leave, the alternative is to prove how you can easily reintegrate when you get back or your employer even writing that they will be willing to give you your job back or something. patty10: |

so i was refused for this same reason in my first application. If you could take a cue, in my notes, it was as though the visa officer tried to say i did not provide evidence of my financial status. till today, i still say i cant understand the vo's concerns cos i knew that was not true. but i figured the nse request may have been the deal breaker. I got the request but responded that i couldnt provide it, i did not state a reason. cos for me i felt, you guys have my bank statement, fixed deposits, pension statements, mutual fund statement. thats enough. lol. I honestly did not want to break my fixed deposit. lol Although i havent gotten PPR but i am hopeful, so what i did differently was to make my mum a co-sponsor (my uncle was my main sponsor for my first application), the money she paid, i used it to immediately pay my tuition so i paid like 85% of my tuition and i still had over 30k cad cash (liquidated into my bank this time) from my first application intact. I showed all this using the mybankstatement i kuku did not want to provide the first time. lol. i did mybankstatements for my sponsor and myself. i will recommend you wait for your notes but pending the time, it does not hurt to pay more tuition if not all while you wait. But i have learnt from research, they really like liquid cash over fixed deposit and the likes. goodluck though Aissy: 2 Likes |
