Common. I dont see the racist comment there. Its still the same nigerians he would employ. Abi? YES, we would fight for the light skinned Nigerians if they were discriminated against, so don't use that as your excuse for being a self-hating black Uncle Tom. |

omolola15: Does that mean I don't celebrate him? I celebrate him. But age falsification is damaging our image in Africa. Do you what Renato Sanchez of Portugal is going through right now? Just because he's black. He was born in Portugal yet sporting director had to call the hospital to verify if he's really 18. Any black player is seen as a fraud when he declare his age.
And what evidence are you talking about. Evidence you can get for 200 naira from any local hospital. Goat. You are the one damaging your own image by publicly accusing your own national team player of age cheating with ZERO evidence. The problem with you lot is you lack behavioural discipline. You just blurt out what you think with no regards for its ramifications. You rarely see people of other countries doing that, even when they are suspicious of the person involved. Many of these players, unlike you pampered mummy's boys, grew up in very tough circumstances, and generally had a hard life. Some of them were street hawkers as kids. Most had a poor diet. So expecting them to look like Marcus Rashford or Alex Iwobi, their age mates who were raised on cornflakes, weetabix, and sausages, is sheer madness. |

flamingREED: Hahaha.
If Jesus does not behave like waves, then I can't explain His ability to pass through the walls of a locked room to where His disciples were!
No physical thing can do that!
But energetic waves can, so also radio waves. As a result, you can use ICT even in a locked prison!
Jesus is God-man as the scriptures affirm.
Like electrons' He's just anywhere with high probability (though certainty) of being found around the saint than around the sinner.
As a man, He can choose to materialize, and as God he had better behave like a wave.. Superstitious gobbledygook. A physical being cannot be both solid and immaterial at the same time. Just as water cannot be hot and cold at the same time. That a grown man like you believe somebody walked through walls is quite lamentable. Funnily enough, if an African religion had proclaimed such beliefs, you would instantly condemn it as backward and superstitious, yet here you are... |

KingEbukasBlog: I should explain it to you because I was there as a witness or what ? Aint you embarrassed by the 'comical nature' of once being a fish ?
Anyway , Christ ascending into heaven - he went into it through heaven's portal . That's the same portal or so the people of the Tower of Babel tried to access . Christ , a supernatural being , had the power to defy gravity and move into it - ascension - while man needed a tower to access it since there were no aircraft .
The whole event involved the supernatural and is accepted as true by faith . The same way you accept that man evolved from fish by faith . What a load of horse manure. What 'portal' are you yammering about? Is heaven a physical location that a flesh and blood being can visit or enter through a 'portal'? If that is what you are saying, you're just as comical and insane as your bible stories. Somebody needs to drum it into your thick skull that the spirit world cannot be reached in a physical body. After listing to his disciples the events that would signify the end of the world, 'Jesus' said: ''I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened" (Matt. 24:32-34).
The generation being referred to died over 2000 years ago, meaning the 'return of Christ' has
a) happened 2,000 years ago and is all over, or
b) never occurred, and jesus lied, or
c) The entire story (including Jesus) is a fictional tale.
Take your pick. |

In Brazil, Argentina, Trinidad, Venezuela, Uruguay, USA, Puerto Rico, Cuba, and other countries, people of all races are leaving christianity in droves and adopting IFA religion. Many more are eagerly learning its concepts. Its spirituality. Its moral integrity. Researching it. Writing books on it. Holding seminars on it. DMLords: Who cares if Jesus existed or not? How is this argument going to be beneficial to the ordinary Nigerian youth that is struggling to get by?
If you are so intelligent, write an expose on how to end poverty and stop worrying yourself about Jesus, God and Religion.
If you have seen any person of faith, whether they believe in Jesus or the turtle around their necks, you will know that no amount of words can deter them.
So bros, write on ending poverty, hunger and disease and leave Jesus, God and their followers to rest.
Atheism is supposed to enlighten one so that he can control the chaos inside him, around him and beyond and not to argue why Jesus never existed and why God is a myth.
You are becoming more like the religious people you write about by trying to convert everyone to atheism. Live and let Live or even better, Live and teach others to Live like boss Ymodulus! Funny how people like you keep silent when christians evangelize up and down with reckless abandon, only to grow all loud and sensible when someone comes up challenging their nonsense. |

Cozystuff: One major attribute of an atheist; They claim there is no God but still make all post about God,follow all the post about God, comment on all the post about God in anger to claim there is God in an effort to assure themselves that they are right cos they know deep down they might be fooling themselves. Disbelief in 'Jesus' does not make one an atheist. Surely you realise this. |

It's as sinful as wearing traditional attires and eating foods known with your tradition lol The way we are going in this country, people will soon be asking if it is a sin to bear your native name, or eat your native food, or wear your native clothes, or even speak your native language. flamingREED: Yeah.
As radio waves are also functionally physical but are immaterial But 'Jesus' was not a radio wave. And a radio wave is not physical. Something cannot be immaterial and physical (ie solid) at the same time. It's either one or the other. I can understand why you are trying to make it seem the same - to solve the problem of explaining the bible's comical claims of a physical being flying into heaven, a spiritual location. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Christians, Please Explain The 'Ascension Of Jesus'. by Rossikki(op): 9:13pm On Jul 03, 2016 |
flamingREED: God upholds all things by the word of His power.
The Father who created all things by His word willed that His Son ascended by the same word.. The eternal power residual in God's word brought it to pass!
But scientifically, I can prove it this way:
It's well known that all things that have mass have also a force field/gravity.
Then if God, Who's mightier than the earth and more substantial than it - for He created it out of nothing - exerted His force in His son, could He not have lifted Him to the highest height?
If you know the attributes of God, you can easily explain His behaviour by natural phenomena that reveal him. Are you saying that heaven is a physical place up in the sky that one can fly to? |

BermudaTriangle: Yes, its possible. He only needs to renounce and abstain from all traditional rights in agreement with his subjects. The immediate past monarch of Imeko Town, the Olumeko of Imeko in Ogun state was a member of Celestial Church of Christ before he became the ruler of his town. He refused to undergo all the usual traditional rites sticking to his born-again belief. After his enthronement, he banned all traditional rites and festivals in the town during Celestial ceremonies and pilgrimage in the town. Later, he was taken to court by the traditional people but won the case on the premise that since the people willingly accepted to crown him without going through their traditional rites, they were subject to his directives whilst he remained on the throne.
I learnt his successor is a pastor in Redeemed church but i know not what transpired before or during his coronation. What a disgraceful tale. Of course the kangaroo court will find any reason to rule against the people. The judges were christians! Damn. Africa is in a mess. The white man really dealt with us. |

UuzbaGuuzba: And here lies the nexus of ALL the problems of Nigeria.
The British who colonised us, have successfully interwoven their culture with Christianity. They were all Catholics before King Henry VII decided to marry 2nd wife which the Pope forbade. So he cut himself off from the Pope, the Catholic church and formed Anglican church - Church of England, where he appointed himself as his own Pope. And went ahead to marry the 2nd wife. Today the Queen of England (Ooni of England), is the head of their own Anglican Church. They are Christians still... (That's a topic for another day). However, in the case of Nigeria, we have so many little Kingdoms that are forced together by colonialism. The Kings (Oonis) of this Kingdoms are not yet Christians, but their citizens are. Hence the Citizens find themselves serving 2 masters. Following Christ, and keeping village traditions in line with their elders. Those who cannot take it, leave the village and travel to other lands, (Eg. Lagos) and leave behind, their Ooni in the Villiage who has to keep on sacrificing chickens and goats and blowing fire from his mouth.
It is all left for the Ooni to decide by himself whom he shall serve. You can still maintain culture and be a Chrisitian. But you got to stop some pagan practices and adjust to SHOW that you are indeed a Christian. Eg. Christianity does not allow a man to have more than 1 wife. Or Sex before marriage. Got to drop the other wives and stop the premarital sex. Ignorant dunce. Who told you the Ooni sacrifices chickens and goats and blows fire from his mouth? And you must be the ultimate retar.d to not know that EVERY single Christian ritual is of PAGAN origins. So take your high falutin, fake christian arrogance and stick it up your asss. |

flamingREED: First, may Christ forgive your blasphemy.
Next, do you feel your brain, liver, kidney or capillaries? But are they there? Of course!
Again, have you ever seen an atom? Even large protein molecules are invisible, Yet we believe they exist, not just as fables, But as near-realities, and by them we make predictions which work for us!
But Christ Whose presence is more real than atoms, who work miracles among us, you want us not to believe
Must everything be literal? The man who discovered the shape of benzene molecules dreamt of snakes dancing in circles, waking up, he opined that benzene molecules are ring-shaped; and it's still accepted till today.
If you know science, you'd hardly ever oppose God because His ways are explained by science, and not the other way round.
Christ is not just in heaven where He conceals His glory which is too dangerous for mortal gazing, He's right there where you are.
If you sincerely seek Him, He'll reveal Himself to you. Give it a try.
I have felt Jesus.
THE ONLY SINGLE REASON MY FAITH CANNOT BE DESTROYED TILL I DIE So, can you explain the process by which he took off? |
