FarahAideed:Anybody can come online and claim they were in the Nigerian military, including insolent riffraff like you. I do not believe you for a single second. Plus you are a liar in claiming Nigeria has not deployed troops far from its borders. If anything Nigeria has far more experience of this than South Africa as stated in my first post. PLUS I stated that Nigeria would seek out allies in a fight, something you and other airheads here conveniently ignored. |
ZZ22:You wouldn't know ''reality'' if it walked up to you and punched you in the nose. YOUR ''reality'' is based on zero research, anti-intellectualism and inferiority complex. When last did you read a professional document on world or African militaries, apart from the one I posted? See, IF YOU DON'T READ, STUDY, AND RESEARCH, YOU DON'T KNOW. |
tyup:It is no one's fault if air head ignoramuses like you flood a thread out of inferiority complex, desperate to reaffirm your inferiority against professionally sourced evidence to the contrary. |
eTECTIV:Their 'stats' do NOT match your claims of Nigeria's ''weakness''. |
xx |
tyup:You read of them by researching international military sources documenting the armaments status of nations. The fact that you think nations' military hardware are assessed by reading newspaper/media announcements, just shows your level. Motorpark tout. Why not leave this thread and go discuss Big Brother or something with your mates? |
ZZ22:The ONLY thing that prevents the Nigerian army from obliterating Boko Haram in 5 minutes or less, is the massive civilian casualties that would result from any such an offensive. Being a terrorist group, they melt into civilian society and are therefore difficult to beat without unacceptably high civilian casualties. It is the same reason the US is still fighting the ragtag Taliban 20 years after 9/11 |
tyup:You actually think the Nigerian military makes announcements when it purchases weapons? I really wonder what schools you people attended. Your ignorance stinks to the heavens. |
FarahAideed:As an educated person, I'll take the assessment of professional military sources like globalfirepower.com any day of the week over uninformed, beer parlour, allergic-to-research, armchair 'analysts' like you. |
eTECTIV:If you have nothing to contribute, get lost. I am not riff raff like you who comes online to type with an empty head. I actually research before posting. So kindly leave if you have nothing to add. |

tyup:If wars are not fought with foot soldiers what is the US doing with thousands of troops in Afghanistan and Iraq as we speak? Not to mention their military bases in Europe and the Pacific which house tens of thousands of soldiers? |
NGRsenate:South African arms comprise less than 0.001% of Nigerian weaponry. At least try to research, however briefly, before typing. |
Militarily, Nigeria can defeat South Africa with proper strategy. The difference between both militaries is very small. Plus the Nigerian military is far more battle-hardened and battle-ready than the SA military, who haven't fought any wars in recent history. Plus they have not shown - as Nigeria has done repeatedly - the capacity to deploy and maintain large battalions of troops far away from their borders, for sustained periods - an important military capability. Nigeria remains the ONLY African country to have repeatedly done this - in Darfur, in Somalia, in Sierra Leone, and in Liberia, plus smaller scale campaigns in the Congo and in Mali. In a conflict, Nigeria will smartly seek out traditional military allies like Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia, to add extra firepower and air support. Believe me SA can be beaten black and blue if Nigeria really wants to go for it. MduZA:LIAR. |
frog12:It's not about driving anyone out. Simply redistribute the land. Those who cannot stand the 'equalization' can board the next flight out. |
ocelot2006:BULLSHIIT. Zimbabwe did THE RIGHT THING in redistributing its land. SA can do the same thing WITH OR WITHOUT the 'Afrikaans' being there. Afterall the whites were there when Mugabe did his thing. Today Zimbabwe is recovering from western imposed sanctions, and the blacks are no longer peasants and slaves on their own land. Their sacrifice was worth it. Until SA does something similar, they will continue to be massive inequality there, which they'll take out on black African immigrants, like a bunch of colonised idiots. |
bluefilm:They swam into the country. Olodo. |
oluwaseyi000:It's just spitefulness. That shows their hatred for Nigerians has nothing to do with drugs or crime. They just hate us because we are BETTER THAN THEM. |
Flier:OH SHUT UP..... ''Africa this, Africa that''. Simply because he expressed an opinion on football. Take your stinking inferiority complex and go hang yourself. Dunce. |
OnyeOGA:Stop being stupid, dumb, and immature. There is value in every book, even Mein Kampf by Hitler. The colonialists who invaded Nigeria were not the people who wrote the bible. They merely used the book as a political tool for conquest. Their exploiting of the book does NOT render its contents invalid or worthless. You're giving them way too much credence and power by implying it does. This is not to say the book is ''infallible'', but that its contents are very much separate from the manipulation of same. And stop displaying ignorance by stating Israel did not exist till 1947. The modern state of Israel is not the same as the anclent land of Israel. |
OnyeOGA:No Israel/Judah before 1947? Are you well at all? And yes, there was a Roman invasion of Jerusalem led by Titus, which led to over a million Jews fleeing into Africa. ZEPHANIA 3:10 ''From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering. In that day shalt thou not be ashamed.'' ''Beyond the rivers of Ethiopia (ie River Nile)'' looking from Israel, is the region known today as West Africa. Nubia was also a black African civilization. |
OnyeOGA:Stop displaying your ignorance. You have a lot to study and research. And you don't sound like somebody willing to learn, unfortunately. |
?? |
Other powerful indicators: AMOS 9:7 ''Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel, saith the Lord?'' LAMENTATIONS 5:10 "Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine" |
The 'dispersed' Jews of antiquity, forced to flee the Roman invasion of Israel and the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD, fled to West Africa, an area that at the time was beyond Roman jurisdiction. Up to a million or more Jews fled to West Africa. That population 1,600 years ago would have ballooned to several hundred million people today. So, not just Igbos, but a great many Yorubas, Binis, Efiks, Ashantis, and other West African groups are descendants of those fleeing Jews. |

bluestone2015:What does ''better'' mean, Mr semi-literate slaveboy? A nation being more developed or economically buoyant than your own does not mean it is ''better'', or that its people are ''better'' than your own people, unless you are an ignorant dunce who thinks money and riches is all there is to life. |
MrBrownJay1:No, you're stupid. MTN has 65 million subscribers in Nigeria, a country she makes one third of her income from. Those billions in earnings go to pay salaries of thousands of South Africans plus corporate tax to their govt. Multiply that by 200+ large SA firms operating in Nigeria. This whole idea that it is the customer that suffers in a dispute with the supplier is IGNORANT and DUMB. We don't need SA companies in Nigeria. If they leave it is THEIR LOSS. Others like China and India will take their place immediately. Nigeria is Africa's biggest market, projected to be the world's 3rd most populous country after China and India by 2050. That makes Nigeria a world class magnet of foreign investment going forward. We don't need South Africa for anything. They need access to our market. |
APCLyingBastard:RUBBISH. The SA economy has EXPANDED nearly six-fold since 1994. Nigeria only overtook her because Nigeria's economy grew even more, and faster, and not because SA's economy shrank. |
APCLyingBastard:Bullshiit. The SA economy has expanded seven-fold since the start of black rule in 1994. The social issues are as a result of newfound freedoms of repressed, oppressed, disenfranchised people. So take your racist bullcrap and stick it up your asss. And Mugabe's land seizures are having a POSITIVE IMPACT on black living standards today in Zimbabwe, despite western sanctions. That is why South Africans are considering similar moves. |
