Seeing the window frames aren't segmented, how are they prevented from shattering when a windstorm occurs?

Not all windows can shatter even window that are more span than this doesn't shattered, here we don't have serious windstorm even BSS recommends 4mm glass thickness for windows but we used 5mm glass for those windows.

You are on good track with Gbadex, more so immidiatly the screeding done , we can start the tiling and plumbing appliances (i.e water closet, basin, shower), both the SALES and the INSALLATION as you asked on this my thread WITH OTHERS FINISHINGS

The tentative estimate I gave him was the exact figure I gave him pending when he gets the accurate measurement from his architect.

It’s a twin 3 bedroom duplex

this thing is done per square meter and there is no way such amount of money will be qouted for this house ...it's too much.
I believed GBADEX will give you good product and explain the total meter a drum will cover , then ask your engr for workmanship. ......but 400k for workmanship is on high side, something in region of 250-280k will do.
then add material.
tentatively 650-750 will finish everything with materials.


don't fight your engr because of this our little input, life na jeje.

the issue is, it depends on how you prepare it, if well prepared its better, but it will cost you much than ready made.

I would love advice in screeding internal and external walls,engineer advise we use readymade putty from company instead of cement screeding please which is better I don’t want to get it wrong Please I really need response from professionals in the house

@rotecch77, what about a situation where the burglary bars and windows are in a unit i.e together?

In this case you can installed the window then do the plastering/ window dressing, that is if there is proper monitoring of the bricklayer.

also you can do both in and out plastering without windows edges dressing then install your window and do the window edges at the same time .

fixing of internal doors

Engr topsy longest time, how work, you make a good schedule of the work.
But to buttress your shcduled.

*Plumbing and electrical pipe.
*Fixing of any wooden doors frame/complete iron doors.
*Plastring( this should be done but window edges should not be done at this time.)
*Fixing of casement window [( if fixing before this time some bad bricklayer will messed up with the window no matter protection you put in it (nylon) ....from experience,
*At this point you can plaster/dress your windows edges to received burglar bars (if done after burglar bars it will be difficult for the meason to get perfect edges)
*Burglar bars.
* Pop ceiling
* Then floor finishings (marble, terazzo,tiles etc).
* Fixing of wooden door leave.
