10 Ways to secure your blog website

In case you are considering building a blog or website or you want to get it updated, one expect content, the client encounter, the call-to-activities and intuitiveness will be the major concerns. Be that as it may, security ought to be seen with measure up to significance – and here are ten things you can do to ensure you're made preparations for outside forces.

1. Introduce Antivirus/malware programming

Security from companies, for example, AVG, Bullguard, Norton and McAfee can help ensure your software and hardware are protected, confine access to online networking accounts and messages(email), and block identity theft,  fraud and malware attempts. No any antivirus is 100% good by any methods, however it's a decent initial step of protecting your website.

2. Introduce firewall

Firewalls are intended to prevent unapproved individuals from getting to your systems or website, and consequently limit malware. Once more, these are not impeccable, but rather they are positively progressing and later on could use AI to evaluate what is 'typical' conduct from clients – and raise the alert if there are any deviations.

3. Keep your software up to date

Staying up with the latest is imperative in keeping the site secure, which applies similarly to the server OS and any suitable programming. It additionally presents a duty on you to keep it updated, by installing security fixes on your website as at when due.

4. HTTPS (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure)

This is called Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure and its the more secure form of HTTP, and guarantees that communication between the blog/website and browser are encrypted. It's anything but difficult to allow or enable by purchasing an authentication and installing it, and numerous platforms, for example, Wix and WordPress website offer HTTPS as standard – so ensure it's set up.

5. Solid hosts

In the event that you are yet to build the site, or found a host for it, you ought to at any rate consider a virtual host that not just gives the size (RAM, circle estimate and so on.) to accommodate your website, yet in addition the security and support that you need as a major aspect of a management bundle. Go for a company that can help on a day in and day out premise, and gives free SSL security. In the event that the site is up and running, consider moving to various hosts.

6. Staying updated

It doesn't take long to watch out for the most recent technology and innovation news, and know about the most recent scams and hacks that hackers are trying to use like recent malware issues. On the off chance that you know about them, at that point you can proctect your website against them – a monitoring and quick search website, for example, The Verge and BBC Technology will enable you to reveal the most recent guards.

7. Complex passwords

An undeniable one, yet infrequently disregarded. Frequently changing your passwords and utilizing diverse cases and numbers can help, while far and away superior strategies include the use of password key generators, (for example, SHA1) and 'salting' the watchword – a method for using arbitrary data which is inputted into the password to 'hash' it and add an additional level of hacking difficult. And furthermore you can use two level password whereby the OTP or verification code will have to send to your phone number or your email address before access can be given to access your website.

8. Restricted access

What number of individuals know your password? What levels of security exist in your organization, and how simple is it to get to the records where passwords might be put away? The less the number who have the access the better; limit the number of password guesses as far as possible and ensure that nobody ever emails the passwords. These measures may likewise apply to your family.

9. Record transfers

Be careful with how much communication you permit website users, as document transfers can really turn into a major security hazard. Even changing a signature on your website through an upload can permit a entry point for hackers using PHP code for odious means. Renaming the document on upload to check the file extension or changing file permission are two basic approaches to settle this potential issue.

Try to hack your own website to see if you can make a breakthrough to your site if at the end of the day you are able to breakthrough it means that your website is in danger and can be brought down by any hacker causing you a lot of damage. After that you can then apply all the aforementioned method above to secure your website and retry if you can gain access to the site. I hope you gain one thing or the other from this, feel free to drop your comment in case any and I'm ready to help you out on anything in my capacity thanks.

You really have mentality of an African. In a civilized environ such as Owerri, there is everything for any cadre of people. Not every Joe can afford to take a room in Concorde or the same level grade. If Osogbo has the hotels listed in some of the posts, I must say that Osogbo has really come of age. When the last time I visited Osogbo, like Ota in Ogun State, it was a village.

You are a bloody liar! It's has being a big town for decades. Now, it's emerging into a city.

The reason why some people tell you Igbos to make Anambra look like Lagos is because many of you claim to develop Lagos. If you can develop Lagos to be the 4th largest economy in Africa, why can't you develop the whole SE to be at least like Lagos since you are globally known for your developmental strides. I have never seen the SW people claiming the development of Lagos thus, your idea of telling them to develop Ekiti, Oyo, etc is silly.

Igbos actually crashed over 40,000 industries in SW with fake products in the 80s and 90s.

We would have gone farther than where we are today.

We Yorubas will not deny the contributions of other ethnic groups and foreigners (Ghanaians) too.

It is preposterous for any ethnic group foreign to Yorubaland to make spurious claim of being the ones responsible for the development of Lagos.

Linda Ikeji, no matter how drunk she may be, will never utter this poo you just did. It is only in her dreams she can make even half of what seun makes. Lmao awon chest beaters tun ti de o. The difference between Seun(Yoruba) and Linda(Igbo) is that one is a silent money bag while the other thinks blowing a broken whistle means you are the bigger person. Last I checked, Nairaland is worth at least 2X more than Linda and her entire blog combined. Being wealthy is not by show off or having an ugly annoying sibling blow a nonexistent whistle for you on the internet. Some people (Yorubas) just don't like noise.

Don't mind them jare, we Yorubas don't resort to noisemaking about our success. We keep it private cheesy

Thank you but I don't want hotels that look like someone's house where I'll be used for ritual. I want real hotels like the ones in Anambra in the link below. Example Finotel Hotel Awka pic 1, and Novotel Hotel in Onitsha pic 2.

https://www.google.com/search?q=hotels+in+anambra&npsic=0&rflfq=1&rlha=1&rlla=0&rlhsc=CiAI1O_3tYLNl_YWCPW5x--

Something is wrong in your head.

If you need an hotel in Osun, why not google it on the internet.

An hotel doesn't have to be five star for it to be a good hotel.

Most hotels used for tourism around the world are not big five star hotels. They look more like people's home, and still earn a lot of money for their countries.

I think this OP should be taken to YABA LEFT for some careful psychological examination.

Yorubas invest their money in shares and properties both at home and abroad. They only keep what they consider as necessary in the banks. This is what financial experts always advocate. A Yorubaman will keep acquiring assets while borrowing Igboman,s money in the bank to conduct his business. This is sophistication.

We are friendly and accommodating to all ethnic groups. We don't indulge in violence against other people no matter the offence.

We don't treat Non-Yorubas as foreigners. We see everyone as Nigerians despite the differences.

Equal rights and opportunities for employment and advancement in the place of work managed by or owned by Yoruba people.

We are industrial minded creating economic and job opportunities for both Yoruba and other people. No discrimination based on ethnic differences.

We respect other people's cultures and traditions.

This explains why people of other ethnic groups don't like to relocate back home once they are living amongst us. They feel very comfortable . For most people, SW is home away from home. cheesy

Ogun n Oyo are already rising to Lagos levels, seems u just dont get it!

Don't mind him.

Ogun , Oyo and Ondo states are the largest agricultural states in the southern part of Nigeria as we speak.

A lot of economic activities are coming up in these states. Green houses are coming up in several places as more and more people especially white collar workers are embracing agriculture. A substantial part of fruits and tomatoes being consumed throughout Nigeria now come from the SW.

The SW produces and export poultry and fishery products more than any other part of the country.

Also, Ogun State now has the highest number of industries in Nigeria Ogun state is also the highest earner in the extractive industries today.

Infrastructure wise, the SW is experiencing revival. Though slow due to insufficient funds, the intention is there as we can see various massive roads and bridges under construction. Some are already completed.

Osun state is investing heavily in road constructions and modernisation of educational facilities .

Ondo state is also making progress in infrastructural development especially in the areas of road construction and Agriculture. Ondo is a major exporter of cocoa in Nigeria. Their 13 percent derivation is being used judiciously on behalf of the people.

All these activities as well as others not mentioned here would count for the people of SW in the nearest future.
It's already counting as IGR is growing in these states, while more private investments are coming in.

I would want to advise the Igbo people attacking Yoruba people on this forum to go and develop their own region rather than coming here to insult their Yoruba hosts.

I don't know what is going on in Ekiti. I've heard of stomach infrastructure and I wonder what that means. cheesy

1.4% is too poor. Nearly insignificant.

The company is violating the expatriate quota rule. Same for other companies threatening to quit.

What is the use of having companies in Nigeria who will not employ Nigerians. We have sufficiently enough qualified people for the positions being filled by expatriates.

That would still put Nigeria's GDP per capita in 1970 still at over £110. And this reflected the general poverty considering a freshly hired graduate in the Nigerian civil service was earning about £72 a month. How did the absurd claim from that previous poster come about that £20 then was the equivalent of N600,000 today?

Minimum wage in the civil service was 12 pounds. No graduate earned up to 72 pounds until much later.

Is there reasons why former colonies of Britain are more wealthier than the former colonies of France, Spain, the Netherlands or Portugal?
Britain has so many rich countries who happens to be her former colony. Examples are America, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Hong Kong etc

Is it that Britain was less exploitative in her former colonies during colonialism compared to France, Spain, the Netherlands or Portugal?

Lack of neocolonialism.

The Francophones detached completely from their former colonial masters after independence, while the others remained attached to them.

My sister is right.
Being gay is not a crime,
Being gay is not even a thing of preference.

Research has proven that Homosexuality is ingrained in the DNA...that's why we see male toddlers acting gay.

Nigeria is such a hypocritical country. Over a quarter of the male lawmakers who outlawed same-sex practice in Nigeria are closeted gays!!!!

Why do we have a problem with being real?
Everyone watches porn in private but once you say you watch porn they hate you.

They criticize you when you say you masturbate; when everyone else does.

Most men hit their women, but these same men demonize you when you say you've been physical with a woman before.

Why do we have problems with reality?
Why does everyone want to appear politically correct.

Almost every girl is hyper-sexually active, yet they vilify women who don't mask their sexual appetite.

The reason most of us get into trouble is because we lead our lives and say our thoughts unfiltered.
With that said;
Free Bobrisky!!!!

That being Gay is ingrained in the DNA is A BIG LIE based on fake science.

It is a known fact that popular and highly respected scientists in highly respected institutions especially in the academia are being paid to produce fake reports on human sexuality and climate change in order to advance their evil agenda.

These academics are aligned with high networth and morally bankrupted persons many of whom professed atheism in public but practiced witchcraft behind the scenes.
