PoliticsRe: Ortom Reacts To Prof. Umar Labdo Muhammad's "Benue Belongs To Fulani" Claim by Rotji(m): 1:01pm On Jan 19, 2018
meditate:
"There is neither historical, archaeological, nor anthropological evidence to indicate that the Fulanis’ ever inhabited the Benue Valley at any time before the advent of the Tiv people.

What is a veritable and verifiable historical fact is that the forces of the 1804 Islamic Jihad, led by Uthman Dan Fodio, were defeated at the Ushongo hills in Tiv land. That explains why Islam could not be imposed on the Tiv people, nor Emirs appointed to rule Tiv land.

“The recent claim by Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, that they were in the Benue Valley before the Tiv, is ridiculous; it is a tissue of lies concocted from the pit of hell to support a desperate and diabolical claim on Tiv ancestral lands.

“Knowing who the Fulanis’ are, and their penchant for changing historical narratives to benefit their designs, we are not surprised. They have severally attempted to hoist a post-jihad narrative of Northern Nigeria’s identity, which seeks to conscript Northern minorities into a monolithic North in which they are a mere footstool for the caliphate.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the Fulanis’ claim of having settled in the Benue Valley before the Tiv is a lie, because their attempt to change the narrative at this belated time confirms our suspicion that their interest in the Benue Valley is more than the grass they seek for their cattle.

“It is a devious strategy to secure illegal rights to Tiv ancestral lands, in order to exploit the political and religious opportunities that come with such rights.

“We challenge the Fulani to tell the world where and when the Tiv displaced them in order to settle in the Benue Valley.”

Edward Ujege (July 2017)
Don't mind the deluded so called Prof. If the Fulani Jihadists were unable to penetrate and conquer the tribes of the Plateau Hills and Hinterlands how would they have reached the Benue?! The tribes of the Plateau Ngas (Angas), the Biroms, the Goemais, the Tarohs etc till tomorrow pride themselves in the fact that they were undefeated by the Islamic Fulani Jihadists. Normally you'll have to go through the above tribes before you can reach the Tivs and other Benue tribes.

The Fulani Jihadists did not conquer the Kanuris of Bornu that's why you don't have Emirs there, go through all the Emirates in Nigeria you'll discover that from top down to District levels of administration the Emirates control all appointments. Yes even down to District Heads where you have what they refer to as "Hakimis", all Hakimis are appointed by the Emirs in charge of each Emirate. There are no such Hakimis in Plateau State not to talk of Benue, evidence of Fulani conquest is always confirmed by a people being ruled and administered by and Emir or an Emirate, with such people and tribes being subjects to the Emirate.

Remember even when the British came and did some form of political and administrative restructuring of the Northern Protectorates, under no time was the Benue/Plateau subject to any Emirate.

So anyone who took the statements of the attention seeking Professor serious should be reminded that the Prof was just trying hard to be a comedian and it's just not working. And believe me gullible Hausa/Northern man who is sympathetic to the Fulani Jihadists will even be propagating the nonsense.

I'm disappointed that even FFK did not give a reasonable response to the Prof.

Please help me find out the rationale behind the Kaduna State Government via its Water Board charging House owners who sank their own private boreholes to pay the sum of NGN 10,000 monthly as Royalty?!

Why will any sane government issue out such a law if after failing to provide same to its citizens and on their own efforts they went out of their way, pay through the nose to have water in their homes only for the government to come up with such ridiculous royalty?!

Or are they indirectly discouraging individuals from sinking their own boreholes even when the government can not provide enough portable water?!

Someone should please ask them why.

Depending on the culture or religion people bow to show respect to leaders, and by leaders I mean people who either by ordination or coronation have attained certain levels of authority. I know the Yorubas and the Hausa traditional customs have people showing respect to traditional stools by bowing to salute or prostrating, any one who compares the lady kneeling to converse with the Ooni and biafrans worshiping Kanu is not only ignorant but mischievous. If subjects bow to Kanu's father in salutation by virtue of him being a traditional ruler I believe no one will raise eyebrows, but people bowing to Worship Kanu is not just ridiculous but says a lot about him especially as you can see him enjoying the show.

PoliticsRe: Benue’s Anti-open Grazing Law: Miyetti Allah Wants FG, NASS To Intervene by Rotji(m): 10:50pm On Nov 05, 2017
The next state that should enact and implement this law ASAP is Plateau State, they've suffered the most in the hands of the murderous herdsmen. I want to see how FG will react to this development, when the herdsmen went on rampage all over nothing was done up till now to stop them. Now people are taking their destinies in their hands, and some criminals are crying foul. With all the abundance of uncultivated lands in this country, herdsmen choose only to lead their herds into farms that people sweated to cultivate with their hard earned resources, time, energy and what have you. When the farmers try to stop them or send the cattle out of their farms the herdsmen butcher, massacre and wipe them out.

The truth still remain that if herdsmen will only feed their flocks on uncultivated lands alone, no farmer will ever mind them.
In fact no one should make available any land free for them to Ranch, if they desire any portion of land they should meet the owners of the land, negotiate and agree before it is sold to them for ranching. This is the only way they'll appreciate the land and take proper care of it to maximize its benefit.
Our mumu don do with killer herdsmen abeg, you will never hear Miyetti Allah make statements when herdsmen are on rampage butchering innocent people but you will hear their kakaki when people take measures to defend themselves.

That's exactly the brain washing the guy was talking about. They've been brainwashed to think unimaginable things, they concoct all sorts of videos and pictures, then circulate just to prove some stupid points. Accepted the army do have their excesses, but some of the stories people peddle on media can only be done by persons who have been brainwashed. Truth be told, anything that requires brainwashing to be achieved will only end up hurting the brainwashed in the end.

And about Buhari asking the world Bank to focus on the north, please do yourself a favor and read Ezekwesili's response to the misinformation being carried on media. You will understand that not everything you see in the news is true.
Nairaland GeneralAnother Pandemonium In Oleh Delta State Over Alleged Forced Immunization At Scho by Rotji(op): 9:48am On Oct 12, 2017
This morning parents and guardians were seen even as at now running helter skelta picking their children and wards from schools here in Oleh Delta State. The rumour is that soldiers have stormed schools and are giving out immunization to children in schools by force, this is even against the Circular issued out by the state government yesterday (below) that people should disregard such baseless and false mischievous rumours. We haven't even recovered from the stupid rumour of yesterday at Anambra and now this?

A Security driver here who was apprehensive wanted to to also rush and pick his child from school, I told him to go and see things for himself and if he comes across any soldier in the school he should meet them and find out why they are there. Well he came back awhile ago and said the school has shut the gate and is not allowing anyone to pick children or any other people giving immunization.

Bottom line is the people behind this misnomer and mischievous rumours will only end up hurting themselves and their loved ones, it's very bad when people who are supposed to be enlightened fall for such cheap, ignorant and stupid lies.

Below is the Delta State Circular
Breaking....Government Special Announcement

The attention of the Delta State Government have been drawn to the fact that parents and guidance are going to schools to withdraw their children and wards out of panic.

This panic measure is based on the falsehood and rumors making the rounds that some persons or groups are going to schools to forcefully inject children to death.

Government hereby states without equivocation that there is no iota of truth behind this rumour as there is no vaccination currently going on in schools across the State.

The state government has advised school heads to ensure optimum security in their schools by paying attention to all children and wards until the close of schools when parents or guardians come to take them home.

Accordingly, the state Government has by this announcement advised Security agencies to be on the alert and to nip in the bud the antics of mischief makers who may want to take advantage of this falsehood and rumour to cause havoc.

Residents of the state are advised to be calm and go about their normal businesses.

Signed
Patrick Ukah
Honourable Commissioner for Information
Delta State.

2. Our defence is average. Ezenwa is raw and not very good. He goofed in our 4-0 defeat at the WAFU final 2 weeks ago. We need a better keeper. Echejile is old and worn out: he doesn't have the legs any more. We need a veritable replacement. Leo and his CB partner looked ragged today against an average attack. I'm picturing how they would fare if they're faced with Harry Kane or Alvaro Morata.

On the whole, congrats to my dear Nigerians (borrowing Buhari's words). See you in Russia next year!

Ola Aina should be a better replacement for Echiejile, he needs to be tested and blend early. Iheanacho should get his acts together with his England team, and if not for the two injuries yesterday Iheanacho would've been a good substitute for Ighalo just as Iwobi was for Simon Moses.

And please we should ASAP find a better midfielder than that Mikel Agu, I just don't feel his impact at all.

Kalu is one of the most sincere Igbo man around, not influenced by sentiments and the likes. This man knows much more than most Igbo people today, but you know what? The idle and ignorant Igbos are their own enemies, instead of seeking for one indivisible African nation which will benefit them more than any other tribe due to their economic advantage. They are busy trying to narrow their own economic scope, their inability to make themselves trust worthy politically is what they should work on.
