The Faan officers were only doing their jobs. They denied some customs officers access to the airside because they did not meet the basic requirements which includes putting on a reflective jacket and having an "on duty card" which the customs are fully aware of. The on duty card part can be overlooked for officers based on the fact that they get posted in and out of the airport command and the process of getting one takes time but come-on refusing to put on a reflective jacket is intentionally sabotaging the work of Faan officers. Even with all the lapses in the aviation sector, Faan has always managed to maintain a good rating with aviation bodies like ICAO and TSA. ICAO inspectors are currently on ground to audit Nigerian airports and their operations and FAAN have been preparing for a while now, it will be very unfair for customs officers to walk around the Tarmac without reflective jackets knowing fully well that international inspectors are on ground. The Customs officer denied access assaulted the Faan officer first and like every regular guy he replied in kind and the customs guys went to mobilize and started beating up faan officers, not just security staff but any faan staff on sight be it commercial o or account o. That was what happened.

Yes, package was intact. It arrived yesterday morning i.e 29/04. Never knew there was a post office at Ijeshatedo surulere. Its not a very busy place anyway. Met a bunch of women gisting the day away, for my mind I was wandering if this is what these people do all day and get paid by month end. I approached the desk and it was like they had been waiting for me to show up, I got my mail within 10 minutes and joined the women in their ramblings about unpaid salaries for another 20 minutes.. It was good one for me cos this is my first time of receiving a mail from the post office and again it took about 15 days from china through nlpost. Paid them 500 naira for official fee, that was what they told me o, I don't know how true that is. I was given a slip to acknowledge that I had received the mail but I don't think it passes as recipt. It wasn't bad for a first time.

Somebody should please advice me on what i can do to turn my life around. I'm 29years old and i don't have anything yet,i don't even know what i want anymore as i feel frustrated worst case scenario i still stay in my parents house nowhere to go all i do is sleep and wake up everyday doing nothing. i went to uni but i haven't gotten my certificate although i had two outstanding when i was about graduating in 2010.it really delayed me going for service even as i type now i have not yet gone for youth service as my department keep telling me they are still working on the results for senate approval.Everyone has left me behind. i wake up every morning with a heavy heart and tears sometimes i even find it hard to sleep. It's so tiresome.

Its not just abt being rich or poor. Everyone expects so much from firstborn.. To be successful, to lead, to be responsible, loyalty to the family and so on. It could be overwhelming but challenging enough for you to make it good in life. I've always taken responsibility for my siblings from a very tender age, I remember saving from my pocket money in uni just to buy them cool stuff so it's nothing new to me now that I'm all grown up and working. I was at Inec office Alimosho local government on wednesday to collect my pvc. My name was on the list of cards they had recieved but my card was nowhere to be found and they could not give any reasonable explanation. Inec where is my pvc?
