I was at first bank to complain about declined card on my AliExpress transactions and I was told CBN had directed that they all stop international transactions with naira cards be it visa, master or whatever service provider. First bank's monthly limit for dollar transaction was 50 dollars before this development.

The mode of operations of those officials is crude and lacks basic training and decency. However, LGs just like other tiers of Government have the right to collect road taxes or fines. It's on the concurrent list in the Constitution.
It's best to avoid such issues in Nigeria because you're not sure of being treated in a civilized and decent manner.

This is an era where banks give ATM cards instantly. What stop NIMC from emulating them.

Exactly . We have just started the process. Paid 40k for prepaid meter. I did not come to township to come and make nepa rich. They just keep increasing ours every month despite the come and read it ooo, but they change the figure when they get to office. From 3k to 4k to 5k to 7k and 15k this month. First off, the man that recorded the whole ordeal for over 6 minutes without trying to intervene is part of the problem. The little girl is still going to be at a loss even if people intervene there cos when they get home, behind closed doors, things are going to get really ugly for her. The other day a guy had a terrible asthma attack on my street, I wanted to help him to the hospital .. rushed to the nearest police station to request for an escort, luckily the DPO was reasonable and detailed one of his men to follow me to the scene.. omo the guy was just raking and whining all through with emphasis on “ wetin concern us? no be our job”. The irony of the whole issue is that, if that guy had died on the street, they will start conducting heavy raids on innocent young chaps living around there, looking for what is not lost..

These kids have it so good these days, when they face the slightest challenges they break. Come and ask us those days, you hardly can see anybody make jamb once.. those of us that had it good made it after three attempts. How many of these kids even join waec result to make a complete one. Our orientation in this country also does not help, we believe going to school guarantees you success and a good life. If he eventually gets into the school, the system might frustrate him to suicide.. worse off is life after school where they so much believe a job is waiting for them out there.. I hope he survives sha..

NERC and whoever is in charge are a bunch of fools and eye service mofos. They give directives on paper but they never enforce implementation. How many complaints about discos have you heard NERC resolve? I personally have gone through different channels to make complaints about EKDC all to no avail so what’s the point. If NERC is serious, they will have stands at every disco district/area or zonal offices and resolve complaints. They can also periodically go to the field, monitor and reconcile the disconnection process of these so called discos with the regulations under which their operations is based on, but Naija we hail thee.. It’s soo pathetic
