PoliticsRe: Lagos Reunites 46 With Their Relations In Osun by roxell120(m): 11:35am On Aug 08, 2013
plz I need explanation here.were these "destitutes " missing? or did they go out for greener pastures? if they were nt missing then there is no need for reunion with their families. wait for them in the coming weeks in lagos may be a different location outside where they were picked up.fashola forgets that this life is like wind, it blows people to where it feels convenient.those destitutes knew their villages and how to get there.lagos shud be ready for more deportation cos millions are here and a double of that are on their way coming. lagos population is its strength therefore beggars and destitute know this perfectly. so it should be an unending excercise until the government including lagos creates an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in order to absorb its teeming jobless population.

PoliticsRe: James Ibori's 55th Birthday Party (Pictures) by roxell120(m): 10:59am On Aug 06, 2013
danny301: Some of you have problem with objectivity and sincerity. Ibori may be a criminal (and perhaps not the worst in Nigeria) yet he is somebody's son, husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin etc and such person(s) can thank God for his (Ibori's) life regardless of whether he is in prison or not and that does not necessarily mean that such persons are justifying his deeds but identifying with him even in the days of his troubles and that to me is sincerity on the part of his relatives and friends.

I'm sure Ibori is not worst than some of the politicians that some persons here are dying to defend and the fact that they are not as unfortunate as Ibori or Alamisie does not change the fact a their corrupt practices which are crystal clear are as bad as that of Ibori. President Jonathan's wife had case of money laundry when the husband was the Governor of Bayesa state but it was slept under the carpet and today the man is the president of Nigeria who some of you are ready to die for.Almost all the ex-governors and even serving ones are the same as Ibori.

As a a disclaimer, let me say that i do not celebrate Ibori or any other Politician in Nigeria neither do i have anything with any of them but i feel that if some persons feel like celebrating Ibori's birthday because of their relationship with him despite his sins and present ordeal, they need to be commended as true friends and not just fair-weather friends, after all, celebrating a man's birthday is not the same as supporting his evil deeds.
my brother, u just pointed fingers but in law ure innocent until ure declared guilty by a competent court of justice.ur point is noted but in nigeria the corrupt rich rarely go to jail.now the british has made a big catch for us among a whole lot, should we keep quiet? do u know he said "I committed all the count charges leveled against me my LORD " in london court? choi. aru e meeeeeee!!!

oluwole adepoju: Comandclem managers are busy fighting over who gets wooping I.D card contract instead of pursuing the case at the supreme court to the conclusive end. A talk with some of these managers shows they are not ready to wait for any royalty from Mobil as a matter of fact all they are after now is how much they make from patentees.

Umehemeka, with your above statement, don’t you think it is an utter insanity to leave substance and begin to chase shadows? Having said that I am never a staff of Comandclem but an ordinary patentee who is optimistic of the altruism of the king I am therefore a tenacious supporter. Albeit in every 12 disciples there will always be a Judas Iscariot but I don’t believe the majority of the managers will be so insane to device the pernicious way of masterminding the issue of ID card for the sole aim of defrauding people. How much is the money when juxtaposed with what will accrue at the end of the day. I am a retiree from a corporate body and dismissal, retrenchment, disclaimer etc. is part of administrative activities which eventually, most of the times impart positively on the company to make it a going concern.
Let me also give you these pieces of advice that it is reasonable to try and find out the truth by involving those who are concerned in a feud otherwise you will sound unwise and partial or negatively sympathetic in your evaluation and judgment.
plz dont tell me ure not part of Cclem mgr cos this long explanation betrays your claim. since 2007 as a patenyee and ure comfortable to educate us this way? I see? when yusuf akure appeared on this thread the first time, he claimed he was nt part of commandclem family. now he is a state coordinator shocked

zo3184: Now,I see why other Nigerians never want Igbos to be president of Nigeria, there pettiness is that of a child, you claim you are the best Nigerians you don't have nothing to show for it, all you do is talk, you talk so much of your wealth I started thinking that Dangote is Igbo, you claim you so enterprising, all you are is a mom and pop businessman and all you do is trying to out do each other, you are only running your mouth in Africa in America you don't even show up in the business arena, in Houston that have large opulation of Igbo, the thriving African business people are Yoruba not Igbo, the richest black man in America is a Yoruba from Houston, Texas the epicenter of Igbo nation in America, you talk like you are the only one that can make money, you claim you are Jews of Africa, at least the real Jews have prosperous Israel to show for it,they move there money from all over the world and move it to Isreal, you need to move your money and develop Igboland not Biafra and stop that Biafra talk you don't have water, Biafrans are for River Ikwere people and they don't like you, now I see why, you are ungrateful people that are ready to bite the finger of a man feeding him, you are very toxic, Awolowo is really a genius for seeing through your collective East Africans selfish thinking and for you Yoruba Ronu people, Ogunde warn you 40years ago, you are very deserving of all the insult been inflicted on your culture, you are too accommodating. You are Africans you need to be barbaric, you have barbarians at your gate. All 70 million member of Yoruba Nations both home and abroad from Nigeria to our brethren in West Africa, Caribbean and Brazil you need to rise up and stop this cultural nicety.

Where were igbo clans in the 1800s when the mighty warriors of the yoruba and hausa empire were ravaging this land area now called Nigeria and giving the british some hard time?

PoliticsRe: Corruption In Nigeria: Is It Reducing Or Increasing? by roxell120(m): 10:00pm On Mar 31, 2013
seyibrown: Corruption continues to increase as the government is doing nothing (nothing effective) to curb corruption. It is not difficult to mandate that all monies/fines/fees due to the government always be paid at a bank - no cash should be accepted - and that all fees due should be displayed at all relevant offices. Information should also be made available to the public as to what amounts are due. An easily accessible avenue to report bribes paid should be created and action should be taken to investigate corrupt officers. This will be a start.

Government should also ensure that government employees get a living wage, not a minimum wage that is spent on transport to work.

There is so much that the government can (afford to) do to curb corruption and improve living standards for the ordinary man on the street but those in government are unfortunately just not interested.
after all judges will frustrate the whole effort. corruption is pervasive .lips sealed .no hope
