Hours after celebrating his three children, the former presidential aides also showered encomium on his two ex wife and his wife Precious Chikwendu. He shared the pic above of the three women and wrote:

“Mama Folake, Mama Aragorn and Mama Remi, may God bless all three of you for giving me such joy and my three wonderful children. I love, honor and respect you all and will do so all the days of my life. Thank you Madame Saratu for being strong and resilient. Thank you Madame Regina for being patient, prayerful and loving. Thank you my darling Madame Precious for being loyal, courageous, steadfast and kind.

You have all given me the most important and precious gifts that any man could ever want: my darling children. You mean the world to me and I thank you all. Whatever we face as a family, hold your heads up high and be strong because the Lord is with us. No matter what we shall prevail.

PoliticsLai Mohammed Cautions Against Words That Can Jeopardize Release Of Chibok Girls by RoyalMail(op): 11:29pm On Oct 16, 2016
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has appealed to commentators and analysts to refrain from making statements that can jeopardize the release of the Chibok girls who are still in captivity. The Minister made the appeal on Sunday in Abuja at a special thanksgiving Church Service and reunion of the 21 girls with their families.

“They are many reckless analysts and commentators who are not helping the situation. We still have many of our children in captivity. Therefore we have to be careful with the kind of comments that we make. We must not make comments that will make the release of these girls difficult or impossible.”

“…When the President said that the Boko Haram saga will not be closed until all the girls abducted have been released and reunited with their families safely, those who doubted did not believe us so we thank God this day has come,” he said.

Alhaji Mohammed appealed to the parents of the girls who are yet to be freed to continue to exercise patience, saying “This is the beginning and we are very optimistic that very soon another batch bigger than this will be released. I want to assure you that these negotiations are ongoing even as we speak.”

The Chairman of the Parents of the Abducted Chibok School Girls, Yakubu Nkeki, re-echoed the Minister’s plea by appealing to the people to stop spreading rumours, particularly on the Social Media, that will put the lives of the girls at risk.

He debunked some reports alleging that 18 of the 21 free girls are pregnant even as he denied that the girls were radicalised by Boko Haram.

Mr. Nkeki thanked President Buhari for summoning the courage and the political will that eventually led to the release of the abducted girls.

In her testimony, the spokesperson of the released girls, Miss Gloria Dame, who recalled their ordeal in captivity, thanked God and all those who made their safe release and reunion with their families possible.

Miss Dame, who spoke in Hausa, prayed that God will ensure the safe release of the other girls still in captivity.

“We never thought we will ever see this moment but God has made it possible for us. I want to appeal to all of us to fast and pray for the safe release of those left behind,” she said.

Dr. Shiktra Kwali, who delivered the sermon at the thanksgiving service, told the girls that as they start a new life in freedom, they should not allow the experience of the past to weigh them down, and urged them to remain steadfast in serving the Lord, who has not forsaken them even in captivity.

Several ministers of God, including the President of the Church of Brethren in Nigeria (EYN), Reverend Joel Bilili, offered prayers for the girls.

The high-point of the occasion was the reunion between the parents and their daughters. Tears flowed freely as parents took turns to identify their daughters, while one woman simply carried her daughter on her back in happiness.

The ceremony ended with an identification parade, as each of the freed girls identified her parents who in turn made brief comments, with many of them praising President Muhammadu Buhari for ensuring the safe release of the girls

PoliticsOctober 1 Message: Nigerians Working Hard To Address Challenges – United States by RoyalMail(op): 3:24pm On Sep 30, 2016
The United States has congratulated Nigeria on the occasion of the country’s 56th Independence Anniversary which comes up tomorrow, October 1, 2016. On behalf of President Barack Obama and the American people, the US Secretary of State, John Kerry, expressed confidence that Nigerians are working hard to address current national challenges. Below is the full text of Kerry’s statement:

“On behalf of President Obama and the American people, I congratulate the citizens of Nigeria as you celebrate your Independence Day on October 1.

I recently returned from my third trip to Nigeria as Secretary, and I came away with a strong sense of the nation’s resolve to build a better future. During my trip, I was reminded that many Nigerians are engaged in bringing people together across the divides of culture, religious practices, and ethnicity. There is still much work to be done to provide economic opportunities for all, end corruption, win the fight against Boko Haram, ensure broad respect for human rights and provide humanitarian relief for millions of displaced people. But we know that Nigerians are hard at work to address these challenges.

The United States looks forward to deepening our partnership and friendship with Nigerians from all walks of life, so that we may work together for the betterment of Nigeria and all of Africa.

Best wishes to all of you on this the 56th anniversary of your independence.”

BusinessRe: Oil Prices Surge 6% After OPEC Cuts Production For First Time Since 2008 by RoyalMail(op): 4:23pm On Sep 29, 2016
Keneking:
The main reason is Saudi Arabia not Muhammadu or Ibe or Barkindo undecided

"The big surprise is that Saudi Arabia has reversed its approach to managing the oil market. Saudi is the biggest producer in Opec, and had appeared happy to push the oil price down to hurt rival producers (particularly the new shale industry). But a lower oil price has hurt Saudi’s economy too; it is expected to run a deficit of 13.5% of GDP this year, and is imposing wage cuts as part of an austerity drive. So the ‘pump-at-will’ policy appears to have been scrapped.

BusinessOil Prices Surge 6% After OPEC Cuts Production For First Time Since 2008 by RoyalMail(op): 3:54pm On Sep 29, 2016
The world's leading oil nations - known as Opec - have struck a landmark deal at talks in Algeria that sees the countries agree to cut output and lift prices.

Oversupply has been dogging the world's oil markets and hopes are that the first deal between the nations since 2008 will mark the end of the 'dumping' strategy previously favoured by the organisation's members.

Immediately after the deal was agreed oil prices rose, with Brent Crude - the international benchmark - rising almost 6 per cent to nearly $49 a barrel last night.

Iran's Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh said: 'Opec made an exceptional decision today. After two and a half years, OPEC reached consensus to manage the market.'

He added: 'We have decided to decrease the production around 700,000 barrels per day.'

Oil ministers said full details of the agreement would be finalised at a formal Opec meeting in November when an invitation to join cuts could also be extended to non-OPEC countries.

Markets now have to wait and see whether non-OPEC producers such as Russia, the United States and Canada will make cuts of their own.

The agreement sees output fall by about 700,000 barrels a day, although the cuts will not be distributed evenly across the cartel, with Iran being allowed to increase production.

The deal is even more remarkable given that disagreements between Iran and its regional rival Saudi Arabia had thwarted earlier attempts to reach any agreement.

Analysts said the deal shows Opec - whose members account for around 40 per cent of global supply - has finally woken up to the reality of oversupply and the damage its policies has caused the oil industry.
