There I was sitting at the bar staring at my drink when a large, trouble-making biker steps up next to me, grabs my drink and gulps it down in one swig "Well, whatcha' gonna do about it?" he says, menacingly, as I burst into tears. "Come on, man," the biker says, "I didn't think you'd CRY. I can`t stand to see a man crying." "This is the worst day of my life," I say. "I'm a complete failure. I was late to a meeting and my boss fired me. When I went to the parking lot, I found my car had been stolen and I don't have any insurance. I left my wallet in the cab I took home. I found my wife with another man and then my dog bit me." "So I came to this bar to work up the courage to put an end to it all, I buy a drink, I drop a capsule in and sit here watching the poison dissolve; then you show up and drink the whole thing! But enough about me, how's your day going?" ![]() |

A man had a bad case of stammering. He went to many doctors over the years, but none of them could help him. Finally one doctor said to him"I believe I found the reason for your stammering". The man asked, "Wha, wha, wha, what is my pro, pro, problem." The doctor replied, "Your penis is very, very large. The weight of your penis is causing a strain on your larynx, and this results in your stammering. The only solution to this is to perform a penis transplant." The man was really tired of his stammering, so he agreed to a transplant. Several days later the doctor called the man up and informed him that they have found a suitable donor. The transplant operation was successfully performed and the man could speak without any stutter. At first he was happy, but after a while he began to miss his large penis, and how the girls used to love it. He finally went back to his doctor and said, "Doctor, I am grateful for the opportunity you have given me to speak without a stammer, but I miss my old penis. Please find the transplant donor and tell him that we have to exchange joysticks back." The doctor shook his head and replied, "That's im, im, im, im, im, imp, impo, impo, impossible."_____________ ![]() |
An elderly lady was standing at the railing of the cruise ship holding her hat tight so that it would not blow away in the wind. A gentleman approached her and said "Pardon me, madam, I do not intend to be forward but did you know that your dress is blowing up in this high wind?" "Yes, I know," said the lady. I need both my hands to hold onto this hat." "But madam, you must know that you are not wearing any panties and your privates are exposed!" said the gentleman in earnest. The woman looked down, then back up at the man and replied, "Sir, anything you see down there is 75 years old. “I just bought this hat yesterday!" |
Its a beautiful stadium that is nicely maintained. We should have more stadiums like this in Africa, our continental football will improve and be more appealing. |

noble_gas1:You said land of random killings, sound like you talking about Nigeria here, ritual killings, armrobbers and kidnappers are all in Nigeria and lately you've included Piracy in your CV's on top of corruption, fraud or 419. My country's name is South Africa, and it is our duty to represent Africa in a best positive way we can,and because of people like me in my country our continent is respected again. Now people know that Africa is not only about malaria, cholera, war, starving kids with big belly and flies in their faces, corrupt people and their leaders. With the world cup we've shown the world the other side of Africa,we've shown them Africa that has developed, that have top infrustructures that are well maintained, that have a systems that works, that have hard working people who meets targets, that have people who don't only sream success but leave it and work hard toward achiving it, South Africans might not have more univecitydegrees than Nigeria mainly because it is difficult in South Africa to buy one. ![]() snowdrops:You my friend should have told your parents to save themself, because they needed more help than South Africans,do you know that during aaparteheid we used to donate food and clothes to struggling countries in Africa? Countries like ethopia, angola AND OTHER counties that where fighting. More than 3 million people where dying in Nigeria during Biafra war while you guys where 'helping us from a white man' Omo take that big log in your eye before you can advise me on anything. Nigeria's oil is drilled by europeans and americans ,you pay more for petrol in your country than I'm paying in my country where theres no oil reserves. We are both controlled by whiteman my friend, the difference is I have mine under control while you pretend yours does not exist.Shine your eyes Omo you might get a visa to america ![]() |

shotster50:If the story is true,I am sure if you inquire the full details from our magnificient police they will tell you exactly what this criminal did to warrant a bullet in his skull. funkybaby:The people who killed Lucky Dube where criminals, and this Gaza was shot at by police, men of law.I doubt that this was a case of mistaken identity, this guys are professionals. You complian about me being in this Nigerian website while defending one of your thousands of your brother in my country who was shot by police while doing criminal acts.Get your head tested little lady. oloshi buruku to you too.and also mmago ke sefebe! |
funkybaby:That is not the point, the point is the neighbourhood is rough and dangerous because there is a large number of drugdealers in the area, some of them are Nigerians and that is the connection with Nairaland and Nigerian community. We all know that Lucky was killed by a Zimbawean who was travelling with Mozambiquen and a South African who thought Dube was a Nigerian drug dealer, |
shotster50:Do you really think our police will just takes out guns and shoot at the innocent man? Nice Guy10 is economical with the truth. His friend was a criminal.Rossetenville is notoriously known for high population of Nigerians who are drug dealers. This is the same neighbouhood where Lucky Dube was gunned down. nice-guy10:I apologise if the truth taste like Poo to you.I guess if it is not part of your daily meal you won't enjoy it. |
Obama went from Hero to Zero,it is very sad He does not even have a African support. |
Please tell me what is it that Nigerians owns in Nigeria? |
MrPrsdent:Jealousy Work hard maybe one day your people might reach our stage. But Ifore see a civil war awaitng Nigeria, your country is three in one. That should be your concern,South Africa is not in your league.morpheus24:Nigeria have the same issue with other Africans.Go to your neighbouring Ghana if you want prove. |
kingsyiyke:Another criminal out of our streets, well done SAPS. |
MrPrsdent:I think you last came to South Africa in the eighties my friend.I am not going to pull my self down to your 'Nigerian level' and defend your factless statement.I also went to Nigeria and all I saw there was just a big smelling slum, everyone look poor there and they all stink like skunks. Now having said that do you think my discription on Nigeria is a true reflection of your country? Even our most poorest black people in South Africa have a much better better quality of life than your average Nigerian. You people are obssesd with South Africa being run by whites South Africans. Do you know that almost 80 percent of the world wealth is control by ten percent of the population,South Africa is not immune to this trend,Nigeria have the same dilemma.Although the ten percent in my country is made up of mostly white people(because of our aapartheid history) there is also a significant number of black people in that bracket, but then who care if they are white or black as long as their company improve people quality of life of ordinary South Africa. Can an average Nigerian sit here and proudly say he own oil in his land? |
I have come to realise that South Africa is little more advance than most countries in Africa Nigeria included, and that is the reason why things are working here. African countries have long way to go. |
Olomu wants to win “We want to get back to winning ways” admits Bloemfontein Celtic’s Prince Olomu ahead his side’s home Absa Premiership clash against AmaZulu FC on Wednesday night. The match will take place at the Seisa Ramabodu Stadium in Botshabelo, kick-off at 19:30. The Phunya Sele Sele, despite having a fantastic preseason which saw them lift the Mangaung Cup, have struggled at the start of the official 2010/11 PSL season. Initially the side from Bloemfontein were dumped out of the MTN8, losing 1-0 to Kaizer Chiefs, and were then beat 2-0 in their opening league fixture against Ajax Cape Town. Celtic will now look to kick-start their season with a win over AmaZulu. “We need to get back to winning like we were in the preseason. We were the better side for large portions of the Ajax game and a 2-0 scoreline is a little unjust. Now coming up against AmaZulu the team feels we can grab all three points” says Olomu. Playing at home will also be a huge psychological advantage for Celtic and Olomu points that out, “We are playing in front of our home fans and that is always a bonus, but they will be desperate for us to get a win. Another loss is not acceptable and we will do everything in our power to get all three points.” Someone the Phunya Sele Sele will have to get past if they intend on beating AmaZulu is their central defender and captain Pere Ariweriyai. “I don’t plan on letting any of the Celtic strikers get past me” says the defender boldly. AmaZulu, in contrast to Celtic, got their Absa Premiership season off to a thrilling start with a dramatic 3-2 win over Maritzburg United. “That was a tough game, but in the end I believe we deserved the win” suggest Ariweriyai. Striker Ayanda Dlamini netted twice to see Usuthu defeat the Team of Choice for the first time in a league encounter and handed new coach Manqoba Mngqithi a winning start to his tenure in charge of the club. Ariweriyai believes the new coach has really fitted in well since his arrival and has the complete respect of the players, “Since the coach has come in he has made a difference. He has got the players working a lot harder and it is paying off.” In head-to-head stats, these two teams have met in 38 league encounters since 1985. Celtic has claimed 15 wins to AmaZulu’s 10 in that time, with 13 matches ending in stalemate. The Bloemfontein side, though, has outscored their Durban counterparts by 51 goals to 39. Phunya Sele Sele have traditionally dominated when playing at home against Usuthu having claiming 10 wins and suffering just two defeats in 20 matches in the Free State. AmaZulu, however, last term took four points off Phunya Sele Sele after a 1-1 draw in the Free State and a 2-1 win for the Durban team in the return game, thanks to goals from Ayanda Dlamini and Marc van Heerden. After rehearing that fact Olomu concluded matters saying, “We want let AmaZulu get any points off us this season, especially in our home fixture.” http://www.psl.co.za/article.asp?id=370194 |
Maritzburg sign Ayo Oluwafemi Posted: 2010-07-20 17:01 Nigerian Ayo Oluwafemi will remain in the Absa Premiership after joining Maritzburg United from Jomo Cosmos. In a move that has been touted for weeks, Oluwafemi has finally signed for Maritzburg United, joining on a two year contract from relegated Jomo Cosmos. Oluwafemi has an option of a third year with Maritzburg on his contract. “It is an outright move for me as I have signed a two-year contract with an option of a third,” explains Oluwafemi. The 22-year-old says he is pleased to be staying in the top-flight as going down with Cosmos to the First Division wouldn’t have done his ambitions any good. “I am happy to have stayed in the Premier League and I am enjoying my time here. The coach (Ernst Middendorp) has already told me that he will be using me on the left side of midfield. This means I will be facing competition from Rudolf Bester and Felix Obada, another Nigerian product, who can also play on the left. “Staying in the Premier League means a lot for me because I have waited a long time to be in this league. I was at the Cosmos academy in 2004 after which I was loaned out to AmaTuks before I came back in the season that Cosmos won promotion back into the top-flight (2008/09),” says Oluwafemi. http://www.kickoff.com/news/16812/maritzburg-sign-ayo-oluwafemi.php |
Nigerian defender Fortune Chukwudi set to join Supersport United. News coming out from the SuperSport United camp is that Nigerian defender Fortune Chukwudi is set to complete his move to the defending PSL champions. The player’s representative confirmed that they are to start negotiating for the player’s terms in the near future. Chukwudi previously played for A&B Football academy and he is currently the captain of the Nigerian Under-20 set-up. The 19-year-old player may be the ideal player to fill the void to be left by defender Bongani Khumalo who is set for a move to England. However Chukwudi will face stiff competition for a place in the existing United squad, competing with Jeffrey Ntuka who seems to have gained his form and the 2009/10 PSL player of the season Morgan Gould. The Under-20 captain Chukwudi had his age questioned during the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in 2009 who at the time was reported to have been over 25 by his former coach Adokiye Amiesimaka. http://www.soccerladuma.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=7487:matsatsantsas-back-up-for-khumalo-&catid=6:local&Itemid=129 |
I'm here to win with Pirates - Otorogu Nigeria Striker Ezenwa Otorogu is looking forward to a more fulfilling career with Orlando Pirates than he had with his previous club, Club Africain of Tunisia. - Join our fantastic new Prediction Game for the Absa Premiership Otorogu told SuperSport.com that he feels more at home in South Africa than he ever felt in Tunisia. “I am settling down quite easily and I’m feeling at home. There are so many Nigerians and my manager, Mohammed Lawal, has been a big help. It’s also great that Pirates have a connection with Nigeria, with international players Willy Okpara and Onyekachi Okonkwo having played here. The language here is English, the culture is not far from what I know and I am just happy to be here.” Otorogu began his career with El-Kanemi Warriors in 2002 and joined Enyimba in 2006, scoring 20 goals in 27 games. This impressive return earned the interest of clubs from abroad. He has been courted by several clubs and tried out for Ajax Cape Town, Mamelodi Sundowns, Al-Hilal and Aalborg of Denmark before settling for Pirates. The big striker earned two caps with Nigeria at the Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup in Brazil and also starred for the B team in the Africa Nations Championship qualifier for players based in Africa. He is hoping his exploits with pirates will attract the attention of national selectors. Nigeria Striker Ezenwa Otorogu “I hope to follow in the footsteps of Raphael Ndukwe Chukwu, who was a phenomenal striker in the PSL, and attract a call up to the Super Eagles. “My experience so far with Pirates has been quite phenomenal. Everyone has been fantastic -- the management, the technical crew and the fans. I want to assure them that I will give my best in the colours and leave the rest to God. I believe I have what it takes and I look forward to winning big honours http://supersport.com/football/absa-premiership/news/100831/Im_here_to_win_with_Pirates_Otorogu |
