^^When did this incident happened? |
seanet02:Your lesson from this is 'don't help people who don't need your help'or a better one help yourself before you try to help others' . While you where busy 'helping' us,someone within you was busy exterminating Igbos.A holocaust against Biafrans where committed. While you where 'helping' us igbo children where dying of hunger, can you imagine how painful it is to look at your children slowly dying of hunger?.Yes appartheid was a evil system, but my people just like today as poor as they were, they were not starving to death, the evil things that happened during aaprtheid are child play compared to what happened to Igbos. So your leaders, your corrupt leaders lied to you. They did nothing for me and most of my countrymen, they ate your money and told you that they're helping South Africa. Its a green and white lie! |
gidson12:If this is what it takes then I think I'm needed in Jos. |
Horror! Maurauders kill 66-year old widow, four children in Jos | Print | E-mail Written by Isaac Shobayo Monday, 07 March 2011 The Nigerian Tribune learnt that the attackers, numbering about twenty were said to have sneaked into the village at about 1:05 am when all the inhabitants had gone to bed, they gained access to the village through the hills in the neighbourhood. It was learnt that on entering the village, they proceeded to Daguit family compound at the extreme end of the village close to the railway line and released several volley of gunshots into the air to probably scare the residents or to announce their arrival. An eye witness account told the Nigerian Tribune that the assailants who were all in black attire to hide their identities shot at random within the Daguit compound and succeeded in killing a 66 years old widow and her four grown up children residing within the compound. The eldest son of the widow who survived the incident by the whiskers, Ezekiel Daguit, told the Nigerian Tribune that the assailants were not robbers but assassins who came with the intention of wiping out the entire family. He said at about I: 05 am on Monday, his dogs were barking and he decided to peep through the window before coming out to see what was happening. Ezekiel said before he could put his act together, the people had forced their ways into his mother’s room and pumped bullets into her. They were not done yet as they dragged the aged woman out of her room to confirm that she was dead. After that he said they moved to his sister, and also snuffed life out of her. |
Cleanman:People are dying in the most cruel way in Jos as we speak, while you're still waiting for 1 or two of his family to be killed in xeno attack in South africa.I read a week ago about the whole family killed in Jos.THE TRUTH INDEED HURTS my brother. Gunmen in Jos kills six family members ,March 14,2011 http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-03-14/gunmen-in-nigeria-kill-six-people-in-jos-attack-police-say.html http://allafrica.com/stories/201103150441.html |
^Ouch ![]() eku_bear:South Africa is developing, maturing and becoming a force in the world not just Africa, your Nigeria is divided, the future looks bleak, who knows in the next ten years it might not even exist,or there might be a civil wars there.I see three or four counties in that place called Nigeria.Lets wait for the election,I think all hell will break loose. eku_bear:Which South Africa are you talking about, yes we don’t have 6-8% growth as compared to other Africa countries including Nigeria because those countries where extremely underdeveloped,South Africa is still growing steadily at 3 to 4% annually just like most developed countries,we all have to agree that more could be done, the potential is there. And now as a member of the five strongest emerging markets known as BRICS(Brasil,Russia,China,India,South Africa) we have an opportunity to grow even faster and bigger. The future of South Africa looks bright, the country is positioning itself to be one of the major forces in the world economy and politics.watch this space eku_bear:It is funny you scream unity when it suits you guys, and beside no one will respect a brother who cannot even bath himself.Learn to bath yourself before you could start calling yourself Africas big brother. eku_bear:In this instance Nigeria is the lazy drunkard, and we all know that they’re boasting about nothing.A country of 200 thousand million people cramped in overpopulated, undeveloped,no infrustruture, unhygienic, corrupt and unlivable country yet they still have guts to say South Africa is no match for them? When we talk about crime,HIV or any of ills we base this on facts, statistics that are scientifically proven. In Nigeria this information is not there, which makes me belief that Nigeria’s Aids AND crime cases might be bigger than South Africa. You should all use South Africa as a role model on how to have a successful African nation. |

Positive international views of South Africa have improved sharply over the last year, according to the annual BBC World Service Country Rating Poll of 16 major countries around the world. Thanks in part to the successful hosting of the 2010 Fifa World Cup, as well as the country's new membership of the "Brics" group of fast-growing emerging economies, the proportion of poll respondents positively rating South Africa's influence in the world rose from 35% to 42%. This was the second-biggest rise among the countries surveyed, after Brazil's jump in positive international perceptions from 40% to 49%, lifting South Africa into ninth place in the overall order of popularity. Of the 27 countries surveyed, 17 have positive views of South Africa, two have "lean negative" views, while eight are divided. South Africa is particularly popular among its African counterparts, with positive views highest in Kenya (73%), Nigeria (67%) and Ghana (57%). In Egypt, positive views rose dramatically, by 26 points to 40%, while negative ratings fell by 14 points to 13%, making the overall view of SA shift from negative to positive. In Brazil, views of South Africa shifted from being divided in 2010 to "leaning positive" in 2011 (42% vs 36%), the survey found, thanks to a seven-point drop in negative views. Views of SA were 48% positive in Mexico and 43% postive in Chile, but divided (23% versus 24%) in Peru. |
Yapa Yapa South Africa is the real giant of Africa, "Who said that? we've been having it" ![]() |
I think South Africa's influence in the world politics has been increasing for sometimes,we've made strategic partnership with both current superpowers and some of the biggest emerging markets such as Bric nations.Through SADC nation,South Africa have access to a market of over 250 million people,SA is becoming a gate way for businesses to the rest of the continent, therefore increasing its political influence in the continent. We are becoming big brother, who not only take weapons to fight the enemy but who try to find a solution that is sustainable and peaceful and stable. |
We did a project like this for our science class when I was in primary, and it was during the aaparheid days when blacks where doing the inferior Bantu education. I think as Africans we should stop celebrating mediocrity, like having a country with the most corrupt leaders, where service delivery by the goverment is none existence,I mean no roads, public hospital for the masses, schools and other services yet we celebrate being named the most happiest people on planet. |
MaziUche0:My friend if you call South Africa xenophobic, what must we call you and your people of Jos?animals? Stop complaining about South Africa and fix your .hole in Nigeria, this jealousy thing will kill you,you envy too much, ![]() |
I think this is a silly question really, Do grownups allowed to ask this types of question? I am a South African and the first three Nigerian woman I ever met where damn ugly, after those meetings my perception was Nigerian woman are some of the ugliest in the planet, but then I met this gorgeous sexy babe, and after some small talks she told me she was a Nigerian,I was like whao! She was like yes'o! And I met some of her friends who where all very pretty and my percetion changed. Now I don't have any percetion about any people.Beautiful woman are everywhere, from Cape to Cairo you'll find beautiful African woman. So to say Nigerians are the most beautiful in Africa,is like saying my father is stronger than all the fathers in the world, its quite silly if you ask me. |
I think some Nigerians here takes themself way too seriously,I had to watch that commercial three time to hear the part where she said South Africa is the giant of Africa, for me it means nothing. Next time a Nigerian in a South African commercial scream 'Omo shine your eyes this is Joburg',I bet most of you will be complaining that 'Omo must shine his eyes in Lagos' not South Africa, because everybody knows that Lagos is the only city that need shinning of eye'o. Those who are complaining about the advert get a life,do something, fine things to complain about, this is nothing. |
rasputinn:Good to hear hear buddy, enjoy yourself.I think you'll agree with me that based on your attitude South Africans are some of the friendliest people, which is opposite of what most people outside the country belief. If you're interested,I offer to tour you around Soweto,I think you'll enjoy it. |
