There is currently no player in the PSL who is consistent like Olomu. If he keeps his consistency I don’t see why he can’t be crowned player of the season. That guy has been a revelation and I will be surprised if he is not called up for his country’s World Cup qualifier away to Kenya on the 14 November 2009. Olomu deserves to be in their National Team. Premier Soccer League newcomer Ezenwa Otorogu endured mixed emotions on Saturday after scoring his first goal for Orlando Pirates in the derby defeat to Kaizer Chiefs. The burly Nigerian, who joined Bucs in the off-season, netted a late consolation effort off the bench in the 3-1 loss at Soccer City. And while Otorogu was pleased to open his account, he was obviously disappointed to lose to Pirates' fiercest rivals. "It was a great feeling to score my first official goal for my club, even though we lost the match," he told the Sea Robbers' official website. "Obviously I am very disappointed that we lost such an important game because we were playing against our main rivals. |
SA faces shortage of qualified accountants South Africa's financial management and auditing sector is searching in vain for 22 030 qualified accountants, the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) said on Wednesday. The institute said a total of 22 030 accountants were needed immediately. http://www.mg.co.za/article/2008-11-05-sa-faces-shortage-of-qualified-accountants Accountants like gold dust in South Africa South Africa’s unemployment rate stands at 23.5% and is rising as the economic slowdown takes hold. Those who do have jobs are increasingly resigned to flat salaries and in some cases pay cuts. But qualified chartered accountants defy the trend: not only are they guaranteed a job but they can demand high salaries and two-figure annual increases. The financial crisis has heightened the demand for accountants’ services and their rarity value seems to be increasing, recruiters say, as many are still choosing to work abroad and not enough students qualify and take their place. http://news.efinancialcareers.co.za/News_ITEM/newsItemId-19835 Basedon this my friend you're in demand in SA.But whether the place will be friendly for you depend entirely on you. You'll definetely afford to live a very confortable life. |

DisGrace Mugabe tells her side of the Gideon Gono story 29 Oct 2010 | REDI'S TAKE - REDI TLHABI | 188 Fri Oct 29 11:07:52 SAST 2010 realise I am a favourite target for South African newspapers. It is a pity my husband's government has had to shut down some Zimbabwean newspapers because they did not appreciate the true value of my news-worthiness and instead focused on banal things like corruption, freedom of speech, violence and our economy - or what's left of it. One of South Africa's Sunday newspapers reported that I was cheating on my husband and having an affair with his right-hand man, the gorgeous, virile, sexy and, oh, so smart Gideon Gono. Yes I am salivating but that does not mean I am having an affair with him. I might or might not be doing hanky-panky with Gono, but I have lived long enough to know that once you get accused of being a woman of easy virtue, there is simply nothing you can do to defend yourself. But to those who think I am cheating on my dear benevolent husband, consider the following before you judge me. I am a hot-blooded 45-year-old woman with expensive tastes. I also, contrary to popular belief, have a brain that I put to great use as chief typist for my husband, who at that time was not my husband but someone's else's husband and the father of my children. I'm not sure but this might explain why I am called "disgrace". My mind boggles at how archaic and stupid some people are. Since when is having children with someone's husband a crime? http://www.sowetanlive.co.za/columnists/2010/10/29/disgrace-mugabe-tells-her-side-of-the-gideon-gono-story#leaf |
Still on Couples ![]() Women Friends chatting in office. Woman 1: I had a fine evening, how was yours? Woman 2: it was a disaster. My husband came home, ate his dinner in three minutes and fell asleep in two minutes. How was yours? Woman 1: Oh it was amazing! My husband came home and took me out to a romantic dinner. After dinner we walked for an hour. When we came home he lit the candles around the house and afterwards talked for an hour. It was like a fairytale! At the same time, their husbands are talking at work. Husband 1: How was your evening? Husband 2: Great. I came home, dinner was on the table, I ate and fell asleep. It was great! What about you? Husband 1: It was horrible. I came home, there's no dinner because they cut the electricity because I hadn't paid the bill; so I had to take my wife out to dinner which was so expensive that I didn't have money left for a cab. We had to walk home which took an hour; and when we got home remember there was no electricity so I had to light candles all over the house! After all, I was so aggravated that I couldn't fall asleep and my wife was jabbering away for another hour! ![]() |

Mpele:I never said most South Africans support this,We all know that majority of SA'ans don't care about anything that happens outside their country, even DRC and Sudan. But there is group of young people including myself who want to put spotlight on the conditions of Niger Delta people, with media's attention on Henry Okah case we might get a little coverage as well.We hope that this group can grow during the couse of the trial,I think this trial could go on for more than a year. |
This is the facts and the reality. |
We know the pressure the FG of Nigeria is putting on our SA goverment but we have a constitution that guide us and the law of our country to uphold and if that is followed then no one will complain about outcome the of the case,Okah is a SA citizen and deserve a fair trial. But as ordinary people we have no ties with you FG,our ties is with the people on the ground.Niger Deltan issue should get the same recognition that is given to the people of Southern Sudan. |
We work in SA and we less yara-yara(blah-blablah) ![]() |
With the arrest of Henry Okah in South Africa,More South Africans are taking interest in Nigerian issues, talk radio stations and some youth radio stations are debating and discussing this issues. Okah's wife have been interviewed by couple of this radio staions and she put focus on the struggle of Niger Deltans and more people find similarity between Niger Deltan struggle against the corrupt Nigerian govemrnet and their struggle against SA apaartheid regime. Now young people including myself have decided to match outside the court during Okah's appearence to show our solidarity for the people of Niger Delta and also ask our judiciary which is independent from our goverment to be fair as per our constitution. We don't want our goverment to interfer in any way in this case. |
Can somebody explain the meaning of jealousy in Nigeiran context.Because it does not make sense. Why will a country like Ghana be jealous of Nigeria. I mean they have a goverment that works, high litiracy, electricity that is uninterupted, oil, the most succesful soccer nation in sub sahara, well maintained roads,l ow crime, first African country to attain independence there for making them the real big brother to the whole of black Africa. They're regarded as an exemplary for good governance and democracy in developing world. Now what is it that could make Ghananians be jealous of Nigerians? I here someone here saying Nigerians have the biggest population in Africa, and I say the reason you guys have that big population is because you need lessons on family planning, stop making babies as if its a sports.Average Nigerian live below povery line even with African standards,Nigeria is overpopulated. |
![]() I guess it is becoming boring, same old ishh all the time. Me and some of my friends decided to support Henry Okah during his court hearings,we will be picketing outside Joburg high court with placards declaring our support for people of Niger Delta. We would start with a group of ten and I hope that it will grow and attract media attentions. Niger Deltans need our support SA LADY,and with our little knowledge on Nigeria 's politics we learned from Nairaland,I feel that we must play our role as South Africans in helping Niger Delta people attain their freedom and independence. The spirit of Ken Sara Wiwa will be with us. |
Mugabe entered the BBA ring and said Big Brother vote 'not free and Premium Article ! in Harare A GROUP of president Robert Mugabe's fabulously rich allies say voting was not "free and fair" in Big Brother Africa - and have promised to pay Zimbabwe's losing housemate £191,000 in compensation. Mr Mugabe's nephew, business tycoon Philip Chiyangwa, said the mobile phone voting system in the TV reality show was "unfair The Zimbabwean contestant, Munyaradzi Chidzonga, 24, was tipped to win the 91-day show but narrowly lost to a Nigerian housemate in the final vote on Sunday. He would have got £127,000 if he had won. The whole process was flawed. The entire vote was flawed," Mr Chiyangwa fumed, calling the show "a disgrace to Africa". Officials from MNET Africa, the continentwide satellite TV company, said yesterday Mr Mugabe's office had demanded recordings from the show. The president's allies have found the row over the winner a perfect propanganda opportunity for his Zanu-PF party. Mr Chidzonga's "patriotism" is being contrasted with Scottish-based Zimbabwean singer Gamu Nhengu, who was controversially eliminated from ITV's X Factor just before her UK visa ran out and has been critical of the Mugabe regime. http://news.scotsman.com/news/Big-Brother-vote-39not-free.6589838.jp I guess this BBA is big in Africa even our uselss Presidents take interests in it. South Africa has the second largest refining capacity in Africa at 692,000 bbl/d according to a 2008 SAPIA report, surpassed only by Egypt (726,250 – O&GJ). Major refineries include Sapref (180,000 bbl/d) and Enref (125,000 bbl/d) in Durban, Calref (100,000 bbl/d) in Cape Town, and Natref (108,000 bbl/d) at Sasolburg. PetroSA is also developing a new 400,000 bbl/d refinery in the Eastern Cape to meet rapidly growing product demand. And we don't even have oil in our shores. |
18 October 2010 The proposed Mthombo crude oil refinery will help South Africa escape from the "dependency trap" of having to import refined automotive products, ultimately saving the country billions of rands, says President Jacob Zuma. At the same time, the refinery, to be built at the Coega Industrial Development Zone near Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape, would showcase South Africa's competitive ability to its counterparts globally. Construction on the refinery, which will be the biggest in Africa, is expected to start in 2012, which would bring the refinery on stream by 2015. The US$11-billion refinery, which would have a 400 000 barrel a day capacity, is meant to ensure security of fuel supply in South Africa. The country is currently dependent on international oil companies to provide for its liquid fuel energy needs. "With Project Mthombo, this country stands to save an estimated R12.6-billion a year in energy costs once the refinery is running, and could export oil across Africa," Zuma said last week. Zuma was speaking during a visit to PetroSA's gas-to-liquid refinery in Mossel Bay in the Western Cape. The visit by Zuma and Energy Minister Dipuo Peters was to obtain a first-hand account of PetroSA's operations, his office said. "We welcome the fact that PetroSA is making its impact, not only in job creation but in empowering the people as well. It employs close to 2 000 people, while 27 500 more will be absorbed within the crude oil refinery that is planned," Zuma said. Zuma welcomed the impressive growth of PetroSA following its successful merger of Mossgas, Soekor and parts of the Strategic Fuel Fund in 2002. PetroSA is reaching markets in Europe, the United States, Caribbean, Middle East and Far East, which Zuma said was an important achievement. He also commended the National Oil Company for the role it was playing in reducing the country's dependence on imported refined |

JOHANNESBURG - Nelson Mandela urged the world not to view him as a saint, saying he also suffered "weaknesses, errors and indiscretions," in an excerpt from a new book published in South Africa's Sunday Times. "Conversations with Myself", a compilation of personal papers and recordings, goes on sale worldwide on Tuesday purporting to show the private life of South Africa's first black president. "As a young man, I combined all the weaknesses, errors and indiscretions of a country boy, whose range of vision and experience was influenced mainly by events in the area in which I grew up and the colleges to which I was sent," he wrote. "I relied on arrogance to hide my weaknesses," he added. "One issue that deeply worried me in prison was the false image I unwittingly projected to the outside world; of being regarded as a saint," said the Nobel Peace Prize winner, aged 92. "I never was one, even on the basis of the earthly definition of a saint as a sinner who keeps trying." Jailed for 27 years by the country's white-minority government for resisting apartheid rule, Mandela was released in 1990 and led negotiations with the government that culminated in his election as the country's first black president in 1994. He stepped down in 1999, after serving one term in office. His public appearances have become rare since retiring from public life in 2004. |
http://www.timeslive.co.za/sport/soccer/article699689.ece/Bafana-score-vital-point-against-Sierra-Leone Bafana score vital point against Sierra Leone Sierra Leone 0 South Africa 0 Oct 11, 2010 12:47 AM | By MAZOLA MOLEFE -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bafana Bafana's quest for maximum points in foreign soil yesterday failed to yield fruitful results as they were held a goalless draw by Sierra Leone. It was never going to be easy for Bafana in Freetown, more so because their away record is poor. However, a draw seemed a fair result given the tough conditions and the physical challenges the players endured Bafana were impressive in the opening minutes of the game, played at the National stadium in Freetown. For a team playing away, they dominated proceedings in the opening 10 minutes with striker Bernard Parker the first to come close to scoring. Itumeleng Khune was the busier of the two goalkeepers, pulling off a number of saves from the Leone Stars' attack. However, this did not unsettled coach Pitso Mosimane's men. Both teams came into the match well aware that Niger were leading against Egypt in the other game in Group G. This meant that win or draw, Bafana were top of the group after beating Niger at the Mbombela stadium in Nelspruit a month ago. Sierra Leone had managed a draw in Cairo against Egypt. The second stanza of the match saw no drastic changes in the way Bafana went about trying to get maximum points. But Sierra Leone became more physical, with star player Siphiwe Tshabalala constantly being fouled by the opposing defenders. Morgan Gould later replaced Tshabalala. Reneilwe Letsholonyane, who had taken up the void left by injured vice-captain Steven Pienaar in the starting line-up, made way for striker S'thembiso Ngcobo. The national team has now only lost one of their past 16 games - that defeat coming against Uruguay in the World Cup in June. A draw in Freetown would probably be pleasing to Mosimane, but he, along with the team, will know that they needed all three points in their next 2012 Nations Cup qualifier. The dying minutes of the match saw a few Bafana players sustaining bruises as the Leone Stars went in search of that winning goal. But this was to no avail. For Bafana to reach the finals in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea in two years, time, they will have to finish top of their group, a spot they occupy with four points, followed by Niger on three points. |
