Yes. R.A The Rugged Man used it.

mekula: Not talking 'bout speed either, but breath control. I repeat RA is basic, you may be obsessed with his flow but it doesnt change the fact that his flow is basic. Nothing phenomenal.
yet you can't mention a rapper that can come close, i mean credible ones, busta rhymes and twista aren't in RA's league unless you are talking about speed then you can also mention any member of bone thugs. They have to get through masta ace ,not speedwise, before they can even get to RA

speedyboi: The biggest cinema chain in South Africa has 600 screens while the biggest Cinema chain in whole 'West Africa' has 50 screens! see gap! So it's ridiculous for the highest South Africa's box office to equate Nigeria's embarassed embarassed embarassed Very ridiculous!
it ain't ridiculous; i wouldn't fork out my hard earned R15 for a shtty movie like avatar.

mekula: Em hello! Twista? Bus a Bus (on a number of tracks)? By the way RA's stuff is basic 90's, nothing to it.
hold the phone, i wasn't asking for the fastest rapper, those two can't match up with RA.

richP: read and understand wat i wrote. i was referring to ur comments about 50 rappers
i know what you were reffering to. I still don't understand how's that slamming. Don't get me wrong eminem is one of my favorite mcs; i was merely disputing the fact that he is untouchable and other rappers are just dwarfs compared to him. Hence i said i could name 50 rappers that can match up to his level or are even greater which will, honestly speaking, make him no rap god. That's why i say how is saying someone is not a rap god slamming?

richP: you are the bandwagoner who is trying so hard not to be mainstream..in you blind raging you slam brilliant artistes who are commercial so as to sound more in the know.
a bandwagoner isn't someone who researches and selects better options available but one who goes by what everyone is doing or saying, in this case everyone is saying eminem is rap god and you bandwagoners go: 'yippy, he is indeed rap god'
Music/RadioRe: Is Eminem Really The Rap God? by RSAMAN(m): 11:29pm On Dec 04, 2013
PhysicsQED: Coogar, are you trolling, or this a serious question?

How much rap from the (so-called) "golden era" of rap (1987-1999) have you actually listened to? Pun? Rakim? Kool G. Rap? Nas? Black Thought? Pharoahe Monch?

And I'm not a Canibus fan, but he has more than a few tracks that are more impressive lyrically than "Rap God." Then there are other less mainstream rappers like Chino XL, Crooked I, etc. who also have some lyrically complex songs.
He has listened them. He says they are elementary at best and are in the same league as lil wayne, kanye west and drake. smh

richP: 50 rappers who would give eminem a run for his money? if that isn't a slam i don't know what is.

stop sounding like a bandwagoner.
Music/RadioRe: Is Eminem Really The Rap God? by RSAMAN(m): 10:34pm On Dec 04, 2013
coogar: there's no rapper out there that could give eminem a run for his enemy. he's a battle rapper from the start - it's what he did before he was discovered in a rap tournament in california. he was raised eating MCs for dinner - eminem would kill & cannibalise anyone out there right now. flow, delivery, punchlines, multis, wordplay, sick metaphors, name it - eminem's got them in stacks.
has it occured to you that eminem's flow has become stale as of late? And i can't believe how ignorant you are. No one can give eminem a run for his money and would cannibalize any rapper? Ignorance of the highest order. He was raised eating mcs? Who were those mcs? He broke into the rap game and what have those mcs done ever since? Probably selling newspapers in the street now. The irony is he was eating mcs before being famous but now he can only have a go at mariah carey and nick cannon, oh well he can still have a go at j.lo, she's hardcore, she's done a song with pitbull, i know he wants to.
Music/RadioRe: Is Eminem Really The Rap God? by RSAMAN(m): 10:06pm On Dec 04, 2013
coogar: canibus, immortal tech, dre(outkast), kurupt, etc. this style was so popular in the mid-90s & this is why i am saying it's basic rapping. most of these rappers at the top level all have good delivery & their enunciation is superb - there's no point focusing on that - if their delivery is wack they won't be representing top record companies.

i focus more on the content of their work - how they put words together intelligently. the number of syllables they use, the rhyme pattern(end rhymes or mosaic rhymes), etc. this is where eminem earns his stripes as the most superior of all.

go & listen to legacy - 3 full verses that end with the same rhyme from the first sentence to the last & he was telling a story & ending with the same polysyllabic rhyme pattern all through. that's pure ingenuity that basic rappers like kanye, lil wayne, RA the ruggedman can never ever have.
imm tech, canibus never come any close to this level and how dare you mention lil wayne and kanye west in the same breath as R.A? Goes to show you haven't listened RA. The bolded: what did you think i was talking about when i said RA is good? Like i said i could name 50 rappers that could give eminem a run for his money. So much for a rap god.

PS: saying imm tech and canibus are elementary and their lyrics lack any substance is ignorance of the highest oder.
Music/RadioRe: Is Eminem Really The Rap God? by RSAMAN(m): 9:21pm On Dec 04, 2013
coogar: this is basic rapping - bland & formulaic.
big punisher did loads of this in the mid-90s & it's overplayed. rap has evolved beyond this. it's an example of what eminem describes as hippydy booh-blah. grin cheesy

eminem's 2nd verse in stay wide awake kills anything any rapper has spewed since 1800. if you can find a rapper who rhymed an entire sentence of 10 words with another sentence of 10 words while telling a story then i will renounce eminem right here as the rap god.
stay wide awake, i remember this being the only good song on relapse but ain't as spectecular as you make it out to be. Hell yeah Pun did it in the mid 90s. Basic rapping? Name any other rapper that did it. Only pun himself could pull that off. I don't remember listening to a rapper and asking myself: ''oh... How does he breathe?''. RA is the man.
Music/RadioRe: Is Eminem Really The Rap God? by RSAMAN(m): 8:26pm On Dec 04, 2013
coogar: eminem is an enigma, something of a shape shifter, a constructor of elaborately self-referential personas whose penchant for self-exploration can often take the form of snide, self-consciously juvenile lyrical play, bracingly bitter tirades or ice grilled hip-hop classicism.

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/50/Eminem_Rap_God.png

when he dropped this single "Rap God" off his new album(MMLP-2) some few weeks ago, he finally confirmed his status as the modern shakespeare of hip-hop. the incisive lyricism, delivery & the technique displayed throughout hasn't been seen yet in the entire hip-hop industry. is he really the rap god?
He isn't. I can name 50 rappers that would give eminem a run for his money. For instance, i dare you to imagine any recent verse by eminem that could come even close to this verse

[flash=425,400]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3byEUZm0r40[/flash]

Eminem hasn't been on this level since 2004. I dare anyone to tell me any verse by eminem that could come any close to that.

Nevermind.

Anyway going back to your original post and question, my top four rappers are:

1. Immortal Technique
2. Krs-One
3. R.A The Rugged Man
4. Pharoahe Monch

Top Four albums this year:

I haven't listened much hip hop released this year, infact i listened just one; R.A The Rugged Man - Legends Never Die; and it's surely the best album for this year, hands down. Other albums released 2013 i have yet to listen to and itching to do so are:

1. Deltron 3030 - Event II
2. Diabolic - Fightin' Words
3. Hopsin - (forgot the title)

Hip Hop in it's purest form. Surely i wont be toturing my ears with horrible albums by drake and company.

ssultana: i remember how ja rule and ashanti were almost a team back then,he took the verses and she sang the choruses....see where that 'extra-ordinary' chips in?Drake handles them all....hooks,intro,rap,choruses etcetra.besides,ja rule's voice is so scary and hoarse.i remember wishing he could just cough and clear his airways in his tracks.drake on the other hand has the softest feathery voice the rap game could boast of .....*drops mic*(pls say smtn about this mic line again, seems u missed it in your last post)
He ain't rap; maybe we should get that out of the way first. did you read my entire post or only what i said about ja rule? Read my entire post and you'll understand why drake will never reach the level of ja rule... EVER!
And i hate ja rule remember! He was sht! Drake just takes sh1ttiness to a whole new level, there's your extra-ordinary chip, now run along my dear.
Music/RadioRe: Solo Rappers With 5 Or More Platinum Albums by RSAMAN(m): 10:49am On Nov 27, 2013
ssultana: your attitude (which i'm sure u share with all ur role models in the rap game) is the huge block hindering ur success...u claim drake's style isnt new but somehow,he is the only one making so much off of it
i guess you haven't heard of ja rule, he was a huge success back in the day, with rap catered for females, with smash hits such as 'always on time'. Even though i didn't like ja rule, drake isn't half as good as he was and will never get to his level.

this shows he is adding a little 'extra' to the ordinary
wait, what? What has drake added or contributed to hip hop than drag it's name through mud? Classifying himself as a rapper is an abomination to begin with. he's giving hip hop a bad name, he should be classified under rnb right now even though he will still be terrible in that particular genre, that's how talentless he is. As a so-called rap-artist his lyrics has no substance and his beats are generic hip hop crap beats you hear on the radio, his music is so light in the a55 that if you look closely at ya speakers while blazing his joints you will see tiny little heart shaped bubbles coming outta em, seriously that ain't hip hop.......

my advice to u is -quit the struggle- u are trying too hard to be different and in all honesty, your method of standing out is unpleasant.
i'm not trying to be different, i just want to listen to great music, that's why i do my research on great, wonderful music that embodies creativity instead of letting record labels, mtv and the radio feeding me half a55ed produced music and brainwashing me through their marketing campaigns that the music is good when in reality it's trash of the highest order.

Jst so u know there are people who stand out in subtle ways but u just cant help noticing them *drops mic*
by falling for sheet that's on the radio? People who listen to great music do their research.

These days the music itself does no longer sell records but it's this marketing campaigns, record label bosses who just discovered white people have started listening to rap, so let's feed them any crap we can without even trying to put any effort in it, it will sell, after all it's what's best for business, if they demand trash then it's trash they're going to get, we're just in business, who cares.

ssultana: u see,i could call a monkey 'cute' and dat wont be because of its outstanding natural beauty but as a result of an action it carried out
.

While you're at it ask the monkey to marry you

Ladies love drake's style of rap because it is not at all hardcore(something new i must say)
Nothing new, there were plenty so-called rappers with weak a55 style before drake.

...i'm so sorry op for my contribution in trying to derail ur thread which every educated and un-blind(excuse my french) human can see states clearly 'rappers who have 5 albums that have gone platinum' and not 'hi world,
Yet half of the artists on the list aren't even rappers.
While some of the rappers, not even one of their albums deserve a platinum status; i don't see anything wrong with pointing that out; why does an album with half a55ed produced beats, weak and un-inspired raps deserve to go platinum when there are 100times better albums out there? That's because they discovered they could make records for the sheep instead of records for the shepherd and you ,my dear, are just a lost sheep. And there's too many of you out there.

*drops mic*
hope you don't pick it up; because clearly, you are clueless.

You can't hear that his songs are trash, right? Well they are. Heavy Emotions? Give me a break. Soft voice? Probably one of the features females are falling over and makes them think his even cuter, Go to amazon dot com and you will see most his albums got a 5 star rating from reviews by people who said: ''drake you're a honey; drake will you marry me; drake i could cuddle you; drake you're so cute'' than talk about his music at all. Anyway we were talking about rap but unfortunately drake ain't rap at all, period.
