Also I got lost in a place called Mopo and I couldn't find anyone who spoke English to give me directions, also in the banks they spoke a lot of Yoruba so I'm not exaggerating. Most of all I love Ibadan. I made loads of good friends.
gwama: Wow, I'm a surrealist, I never thought of it. I have a question for those who know yams, how to choose the ideal yam to make yam pounded, in the trade there are different species of yam, so I lose myself. Thank you for your help.
I did my youth service in Ibadan, The people are very friendly, food and accommodation very reasonable, I stayed in onireke not too far from Dugbe and Eleyele. I wont mind settling down there. The only problem I had then was the communication. Sometimes I go into official buildings or if I lost my way, I used to find it difficult to get someone who speaks English. Bodoja is a very nice Area. In Ibadan you get good value for your money and the pollution is less. Its only 30mins drive to Lagos.
No problem , I will always support my own especially when they are hard working and talented like you. God knows that is lacking on this forum. Most people view the forum to check out graphic images of accident and violence victims and nude pictures. No much intellectual stuff. Shame.
Those useless youths came and seized the paint brushes from the painter I hired to paint the house they were demanding N120,000 Really? I told them to go and stuff themselves and suspended the paint work, cos I didn't want them to harm the painter . This was about 5 years ago. As if I came to borrow money from them to buy my house. I was in the process of placing the property back on the market but now I can renovate it to my hearts content.
