abnot: If a Nigerian airline asks its passengers to do this they’ll attack the airline and destroy their image both online and offline. Same Nigerians will go to U.K. and not complain. Colonialism really messed up a lot of us. There’s this belief that the Nigerian man / brand is substandard in anyway while that of the European/American is superior/perfect What are you talking about? BA have always allowed passengers to drop off their luggage a day before travel its just that most passengers dont take it up. You cant compare a British Airline to a Nigerian Airline. Let us be honest everything about Nigeria is chaotic, they lack customer service and care. They treat you as if you are begging them to take their airline , They also lack maintenance culture. When they delay or cancel their flight they treat you with disregard. There is nothing about colonialism here. This will only be the case if they offer the same type of service. How can you compare a crap service to a good service? I love to patronise Nigerian Airlines but i always end up regreting it. |

Ticha: Quite a few are rentals. The one we've organised for next summer to Bristol is a rental ie they're swapping their rented house in Bristol with us - they've taken contents cover insurance and informed the agents that they're away for 2 months but will have friends staying s o the house is not empty. We're not exchanging money so it doesn't breach the tenancy agreement.
We're not swapping cars as we have access to cars in the UK (will just borrow my SIL's car) and they really don't need a car here in Wellington. And once you start swapping within western Europe, the Middle East and parts of Asia (SE), I find they're mainly rentals as well. This is okay when when everything goes okay which is the case most of the time, but when problem comes this will be classed as misinformation and any kind of insurance will be void. Even your agent will wash their hands off you. Thats why its alway safer to place all your cards on the table and tell the true position of things. |

DAramis: @Ticha
Just learnt new thing from you. Must the swapping be among home owners? What of those that are renting?
Asking on behalf of others living in UK but not house owners. As long as you are not in breach of your tenancy agreement, which i think you will be. |

marylandcakes: Hello house has anyone had any dealings with bloor homes?
I have already checked google and the reviews are mixed. They are top of the range builders and their houses are on the expensive side. Lets just say that while Barrats is your Lidl, Bloor is your Waitrose. |

mumsgirl27: Good afternoon Good people of uk Finally, I can say I belong here after getting my visa and read from page 1.
Pls house, my hubby got a deal on a house in dagenham..it is a good deal {frm a trusted person) but reading the review of the place... Am so scared.
Pls, can anyone give personal review of dagenham.
Most importantly, Please can u recommend a school for 3 $ 5 years old around Hathaway dagenham.
Places to avoid.
Also, Fun places I can take my girls to.
Thank you all for all d information shared here. I have learnt so much about living in uk without stepping a foot there. There's nothing wrong with Dagenham about 20 years ago it used to be the headquarters of racist BNP but now the Blacks and Eastern europeans have taken over. Just like anywhere in London you will get good and bad spots. When you do a search on anywhere in London you will be scared but its not as bad. Stay away from the council estates. It also depends on the kids and you will feel at home because Barking is not too far and there are loads of African stuff. Dagenham is also one of the cheapest places to buy or rent a place in London. You have the showcase cinema and some other entertaining spots for bowling , racing etc |

Regex: He's brother was on the phone and asked him what he was doing with a black kid.
I was broken because we do hang out and at that moment I thought I was just some black kid. Then I told him to his face that he's a racist. That's all. Dude punched me. He's not a racist, its his brother thats the racist based on what you have just said. being called a racist is a strong word. |

Regex: What led to this is that he's a narcissist, disturbing the whole house with his shenanigans just because the mother of his girlfriend refused to come settle him and his girlfriend. BTW his girlfriend's mother lives in the same house.
He comes and puts on loud music, leaves the kitchen door open both doors whenever he's doing his washing. All these, I couldn't take it anymore. I'm not against him getting at his girlfriend's mother, but he shouldn't do it at the detriment of others. We are 7 seven in the whole house, if we all starts being annoying like him, would he be able to take it? I closed the kitchen he left it open and he called his brother on the phone and his brother asked him what he was doing with a black guy.
Basically he punched me for calling him out as a racist. One thing you have to learn as a Nigerian, is that when other people are brawling you stay out. Its none of your business. |

Although that comment about ape is a racist comment and unacceptable. Nobody just punches you for nothing. |
