Hello house has anyone had any dealings with bloor homes?

I have already checked google and the reviews are mixed.

They are top of the range builders and their houses are on the expensive side. Lets just say that while Barrats is your Lidl, Bloor is your Waitrose.

Good afternoon Good people of uk grin
Finally, I can say I belong here after getting my visa and read from page 1.

Pls house, my hubby got a deal on a house in dagenham..it is a good deal {frm a trusted person) but reading the review of the place... Am so scared.

Pls, can anyone give personal review of dagenham.

Most importantly, Please can u recommend a school for 3 $ 5 years old around Hathaway dagenham.

Places to avoid.

Also, Fun places I can take my girls to.

Thank you all for all d information shared here. I have learnt so much about living in uk without stepping a foot there.

There's nothing wrong with Dagenham about 20 years ago it used to be the headquarters of racist BNP but now the Blacks and Eastern europeans have taken over. Just like anywhere in London you will get good and bad spots. When you do a search on anywhere in London you will be scared but its not as bad. Stay away from the council estates. It also depends on the kids and you will feel at home because Barking is not too far and there are loads of African stuff.

Dagenham is also one of the cheapest places to buy or rent a place in London.

You have the showcase cinema and some other entertaining spots for bowling , racing etc

He's brother was on the phone and asked him what he was doing with a black kid.

I was broken because we do hang out and at that moment I thought I was just some black kid. Then I told him to his face that he's a racist. That's all. Dude punched me.

He's not a racist, its his brother thats the racist based on what you have just said. being called a racist is a strong word.

What led to this is that he's a narcissist, disturbing the whole house with his shenanigans just because the mother of his girlfriend refused to come settle him and his girlfriend. BTW his girlfriend's mother lives in the same house.

He comes and puts on loud music, leaves the kitchen door open both doors whenever he's doing his washing. All these, I couldn't take it anymore. I'm not against him getting at his girlfriend's mother, but he shouldn't do it at the detriment of others. We are 7 seven in the whole house, if we all starts being annoying like him, would he be able to take it? I closed the kitchen he left it open and he called his brother on the phone and his brother asked him what he was doing with a black guy.

Basically he punched me for calling him out as a racist.

One thing you have to learn as a Nigerian, is that when other people are brawling you stay out. Its none of your business.

Alcohol usually makes people lose their inhibitions, so you'll then generally see (and hear) the real person.

Yes you are right , when people are drunk they say the truth.

The guy na my housemate. He deh kolo

What did you do or say that made him to punch you?

I noticed that nobody is asking this question, everyone is quick to jump on the racist band wagon. Although that comment about ape is a racist comment and unacceptable. Nobody just punches you for nothing.

NO... Sorry but i despise the habit of people urinating in the public, i inderstand that there are no public toilets in Nigeria but there is no excuse here in the UK. its a very bad habit.

Thank God this is not allowed in this country. It is something I don't miss about Naija. I can remember when I was in Uni, guys will come to Female Hall of residence and urinate at the corners everywhere. Very strange!!

The pikin for ugly if not for the mother's skin and features

Your comment shows that black people are still in mental slavery even though slavery ended almost a century ago. The brains of some black people have been brain washed to think that light skin is prettier than dark skin. angry angry

You are not a good role model for the young girls. Instead you should encourage them to work hard and date a hard working guy with realistic ambition.

E.g Doncaster, I am very sure about this. Some parts of Sheffield, 2-3 bedroom flat goes for £500 -£550

I thought it was only in Wales and Scotland you get such low prices.

Comparing cost of living in the UK and Nigeria is difficult.
This is because most people in Nigeria unfortunately are not living at the same standard as the average person in the UK is (in terms of access to decent education, healthcare, infrastructure, etc.). Taxation might seem high in developed countries, but a lot of people would gladly pay developed country taxation if that would provide them developed-country amenities. And everything has a knock on effect, for instance, if you want to earn decent wages yourself, you have to realise that means increasing wages for everyone in terms of a good minimum living wage, so one cant expect to get cheap childcare/domestic service, for instance, which in turn pushes up cost of living, and so on.

Yes thats what im trying to say. You have got to compare like for like. Bottom line is if you want to live the same standard of living in Nigeria as the Uk with just the necessary basics. Nigeria is more expensive.

Not castigating him or picking holes in what he is saying at all. Don't get me wrong. I am only happy I discovered him after I have travelled, because I may lost interest.

I think he is just trying to advise those who are very comfortable in Nigeria.
