If a man beats his partner during courtship, what will he do to her when they are married? or when she has had two or three kids? Women should stop believing that they can change a man. Courtship should be the sweetest part of a relationship.

As regard the bolded. Yes some men do hit their fellow men when provoked. If you hung out in some places like beer parlours, bars and viewing centres. You'll find this occur very often, especially when there's a football match.

However, what I find disturbing is the ability of some women/girls to deliberately provoke men because they know the consequences if the man hit them. I've seen this one time too many.

Those kind of relationships are toxic.

Liars, beating of women is now trending because Osinachi's case.

That means her death will not be in vain, other women will learn from it. Those who have been too blind to see that they have been abused can now see that its not normal and not good for the kids because they think that its normal and the circle begins.

I see divorce as tools that scatter the home and the kids. Baba God , just bless me with a good woman.

Kids that come from homes where their parents physically and verbally abuse each other are more damaged.

My sister works in the Fraud Prevention Unit (FPU) of a FinTech in Europe. She said and I quote - once you see any transaction that could be flagged as fraudulent, there is no limit of what publicly available information (LinkedIn, FB, Twitter, Instagram etc.) to check so as to mitigate the risk as long as the info is used solely for that purpose and nothing else. Once a transaction failed security check, they go all out. The ideal thing is to pause that payment channel till it is certified ok by the FPU and before it is certified, DD must me carried out.

The OP can file a case which is well within his/her rights, but a FPU officer will squash it within 5 mins. There is no discrimination in Fraud Prevention (her words).

Very correct, there was a time that some amount of cash was paid into my account . When going through my credit report i noticed that the fraud investigative department did a check on me. Certain things can can flag an investigation its normal.

You have to decide if you want to run a business or make an investment.
Business: Your money + you are working
Investment: Your money is working for you.

My suggestion:
Invest in Forex Trading with Intelligence Prime Capital and get at least 30% ROI monthly.
You are not giving your money to anybody but you'll open a trading capital with IPC, fund your wallet and subscribe to their trading robot to do the trading for you.

I can guide and help you get started.

NB: I will never ask you to send your money to me, I will only guide.

Really?
I'll be shocked if the Tories bring in such legislation, even Labour no try am during their time. Many of them are probably either freeholders or associated with them.
The vested interests in this country are just too powerful and entrenched for that.
The Duchy and the Crown Estate follow.

its still going through the courts, why do you think they brought in this 999 year lease

In many cases, very long lease = older original lease - often these don't have clauses allowing the freeholder to make huge increases so there is much less risk of the ground rent becoming unaffordable or a major bar to being able to sell in future. e.g. a house built in 1901, under a 999 lease. the ground rent was still £1 year as the original lease set the fuigure but had not mechanism to increase.

99-year Lease
A 999-year lease, under historic common law, is an essentially permanent lease of property. The lease locations are mainly in Britain, its former colonies, and the Commonwealth. A former colony, the Republic of Mauritius (The Raphael Fishing Company Ltd v. The State of Mauritius & Anor (Mauritius) [2008] UKPC 43 (30 July 2008)) established legal precedent on 30 July 2008 in respect of a 'permanent lease' on St. Brandon.

So it means all these buy house buy house I've been seeing is actually long term rents and one will eventually get to renew. If not that it is still cheaper to buy, I just lose interest like this.

We are talking about leasehold properties. Freehold property is fine but you have got to read the small print as those based in an estate could come with very high service charges.

In theory.
Land tenure here is just like it is in Nigeria, we copied it from them.
The omo niile here are called freeholders. Mostly these are the descendants of the so-called aristocrats whose families ruled the country and were big landowners in the old days.

So the omo niile give you/developers a 99 year lease or whatever. You pay them rent, called ground rent, every year.
The longer your lease has left to run, the more "secure" banks are lending to you.
Owning flats in a building can be nightmarish under this arrangement.

The govt is thinking of cracking down on these greedy freeholders , watch out, there are some new laws coming out and Leasehold will be a scam of the past.

I've been seeing this "years of lease" on several comments here. What is the implication?

So if I buy a house for £250k for instance and the lease on it is 50 years. Does it mean after 50 years my house is no longer my own?

Yes technically, you will have to renegotiate your lease with your freeholder, no bank will touch you with a badge pole. The lower the years on your leasehold the more greedy your freeholder becomes. It advisable to look at renewing before it gets below 70 years.

Our property gurus in the house, please what is the best explanation for this? A 2bed flat that was sold in 2006 for £120k is now being listed for £105k

It could be that it was sold to a family member or its a way to avoid tax or worst case scenario there could be something wrong like a few years on the lease or cladding.

Please guys, am coming to the UK in the next 5 days from now.
Is there any special requirement at the port of entry.

I also want to ask this on behalf of my younger brother who got married to a white woman(British) in Nigeria. He wants to process his spousal visa but his wife is on benefit and she earn a little above £20k from PIP and benefit.
Though she has changed her surname on her passport, house document and bank name.

Can someone please advice on how to go about it and the necessary documents he will need.

Thanks

I think she needs to be working in order to bring him over. if she has been on benefit for a long time, its going to be difficult to give up.

Did you notice how other black celebrities were comforting him and not Chris? Did you notice that he received an award and standing ovations just after assaulting someone on live TV?

He did not even apologies to CR during his speech, only after hours of news coverage that he decided to apologise.

He laughed at that joke a first then turned around and noticed that his wife did not find it funny then lashed out.

Shame to those black celebrities comforting and supporting him after what he did.

They were not comforting him, they were advising him, since he was just about to flush his career down the drain. I'm talking about Denzel and Tyler

This fly deserves to be killed with a hammer in this instance.
He displayed behaviour that makes him unworthy of receiving an honour.
The Academy has specific ts and cs about members upholding its values and all that which he specifically violated by that act, so they would be fully justified in taking it away from him.

Think of the universities and their "being worthy in character and learning", you can pass all your exams and get expelled for fighting, for instance.

His behaviour was disgraceful but he needs to be served with the appropraite punishment. We should not let our emotions rule our judgement.
