You are actually the one who's shallow here.
The question makes sense.
If the government wants to revolutionize cattle farming in a way thst it will generate enough foreign exchange for the country, they know what to do. It's simple. They have to make policies that are genuinely specific to such area in a way that's not sectional or politicized with ulterior motives...

But when they government starts using cattle farming as an excuse to unload a generation of violent ijiots on steroids from different parts of Africa all over the country, encouraging them to kill and maim while they continue to rear cattle in the most primitive way possible, folks have the right to question the motives. Since the beginning of this administration, all we hear is cattle and Ruga, yett there's no reasonable progress, rather what we see is violence..

The only reason why the South East governors are now scrambling for a common front with others against the federal government's onslaught is because they have started to suspect the end game in the south east. As the elections draw closer, it's becoming obvious that this administration won't flinch to declare a state of emergency in certain sections of the country based on supposed "violent activities" from the same fake groups created by elements within the government.

With the south rigidly asking for power shift and Buhari vehemently opposed to such, he will need to flagrantly rig the system to win the next presidential elections..The governors immediate positions are now under threat and they have become restless. It all started during the prison invasion in Owerri. Hope Uzodinmma has never trusted the police version of the story and has been arming his vigilante force since then.. He seldoms travels around again and Umeahi has smelt the coffee..
They all know that they have been used and dumped.

This man did nothing wrong in my own opinion. We always find in him a convinient excuse for our collective failure at nation building..
He cobbled up a country as an invading imperialist. He didn't come to work for you! He came to work for his masters and he did a good job by setting up the country in a way that it will be profitable for his parent country.
Colonialism over, they organized constitutional conferences to allow locals decide how best to live together when they're gone. None of the constituent units insisted on going their separate ways. They all agreed to stay together based on the agreements they made. That was also the case between India and pakistan, Singapore and Malaysia etc. But those ones went apart peacefully.. If either the North or east or west wanted to go, they would have gone..

Again, few years into the "independence experimentation", things weren't going well, there was an opportunity to sit down and talk on what to do. Lugard was dead. Britain was gone, even if manipulating from outside. But our people said no. Separation was the best bet. But they all refused. It wasn't just the North. Other parts of the country with the exception of the east ofcourse. War erupted and the country was destroyed in order to build the country! Irrespective of the fact that before independence, constituent regions all came together to decide on how to live, those who felt they were now in the driver's seat, went ahead and made a mess of a promising country.

How can you blame Lugards who died many decades ago for that?
