Common shut up there.
Noise maker

MMMscam:
I seriously doubt that! According to past events of Southerner massacres in the North by Northerners, igbos have always been the number one casualties, losing lots of lives and assets. Yorubas are not roaming vagabond parasites like igbos. Even hausas are widely spread across the country more than Yorubas. Among the three major tribes, Yorubas are the least dispersed outside of the Yoruba southwest region by a very wide margin. If anyone is in trouble it would be the igbos. Your lots are sitting on a barrel of gun powder that will soon be ignited. One Nigeria is on it's last lap to its end. Our own Yoruba nation, our sovereign state is an inevitable reality. We are not like you igbos that have been so damn incompetent and incapacitated to form your Biafra, because you have been placed in political shackles ever since we defeated and conquered your entire tribe flawlessly in a very short time. When the time comes after the Buhari government is over, likely 2023 and we Yorubas establish our country, we will chase out every single igbo from the southwest. We cannot coexist with arrogant parasitic hateful saboteurs. That is what you should be worried about - an inevitable reality. Then we will see whether the entire southwest belongs to Yorubas or whether igbos. We will likely tolerate Hausas, but igbos? Never!!! We don't want you in our lands again. Your cup of senseless insults and hatred for us is full and overflowing. Yorubas have had enough of igbo nonsense and madness in region. The day One Nigeria finally dies is the beginning of your forced exodus from our region.

My facts are valid.

I refuse to a$$ kiss as u chaps are won't to do on Henry's blog.

Helicopters for rapid deployment. Don't conclude if you don't know why.

1)The helicopters can provide close air support while the drones can't.

2) as the NAF uses the same air space to train its pilots undergoing primary flying training.

Rugged7, didn't even know it's your post angry

Nigeria uses MULTIPLE drones in the North East and Niger delta. Some with surveillance others with guided rockets.

Why would it be unreasonable to fly them here at half the costhuh

AreaFada2:
Drones?

Where dem for get better drones capable of such job?

You sef dey believe the hype. grin cheesy

Wasting fuel flying helicopters. Instead of flying drones as over watch and having rapid deployment forces available to use the helicopters in case of banditry.

At half the cost.

Why is Nigeria cursed with morons in leadership positionshuh

Interesting article and videos.
An attack by Boko haram on a military formation in Banki 2014/2015 was comprehensively foiled by the Nigerian Army
Nice one by the army.
Good defensive positioning. 1 tank in frontal positioning, obstruction ditches around the camp.
Boko haram were comprehensively whipped.
My only problem is the follow up to these attacks.
Viz surveillance overflights, re-enforcements by helicopters, air force back up for a fight lasting 12 hours almost.
And fire pursuit of these morons as they retreat, knowing they will be short of ammunition and numbers.
Even in the video, it's obvious that some of them don't even have weapons

It's not the 1st time Nigeria has worked with the Senegalese. We worked with them in most ECOMOG engagements including training missions. And as Henry said the Nigerian military are surprisingly quite multilingual.

kikuyu1:
Btw all you admiring the Senegalese a question: have you considered basic Naij/Senegal interoperability? If Jammehs guys resisted how would Ecomog have communicated assuming their radios were compatible? Some years back French observers on a Russian ship had to talk via sat phones cause of this issue?!
Also language. How many Naij speak French? How many Senegalese speak English? Imagine if the SBS had to call the Senegalese for night time support if a fire fight broke out at the palace!?

NONSENSE.

This ECOWAS intervention will be meta-analysed in all military institutions, including west point, as the textbook method to take down dictatorships.
Equal measures of carrot and stick.

Brightwood:
Yes, I was in support of Military action, I wanted ECOWAS troops to force their way in and oversee an election RE-run not blatantly oust Jammeh.

I know that's the point, If Nigeria were to find themselves in a Gambia Situation, I hope the Senegalese dogs would bark just as loud.

My point is this military action has set a bad precedent.

But like i said before Nigeria could do a lot better with glossy focused pictures of our chaps.

Confirmed. Nigerian Alpha jet
Via France 24 correspondent and BBC correspondent on ground

giles14:
are you sure that's a Nigerian fighter jet
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by rugged7(m):
I'm not so sure. If i had to hazard a guess i would say Nigerians based on the vehicle and combat fatigues.
France24 did also mention Nigerian troops were providing close protection and perimeter security in addition to alpha jet overwatch
I guess their weapons will be the greatest indicator.
Can anyone make out what weapons the ECOMIG close protection are holdinghuh

Henry240:
Nice, are these also Senegalese?
