topsy23: Good afternoon to everyone. Nigerchin cable manufacturer release their new price list this week and percentage increase is about 35% for the single core cables. Remember the notification was sent 3 weeks before the implementation of the new price.
Now other cable manufactures are ready to follow the same procedure now since all of them are importing raw materials from oversea. Things are not working normal in this country. Imagine 35% increase and there is no regulatory body controlling price in this country of ours. God will help us . .
My Advice to people now is that if you have the opportunity to buy your cable and keep pls quickly do before others increase their price.
Coleman Wichtech and other are yet to communicate their new price to distributors.
Racoon: I still remember this disaster. I was in the University then. It was a news the world watched in horror. It is understandable that air disasters are always catastrophic and fatal.
What a terrible end for the doomed passengers watching themselves helplessly to their own deaths because of pilots errors. Worst is the pilot should have listened to his first Officer and abort the takeoff.
A Concorde that never had any fatality over 20 years of its beautiful existence suddenly had one! And that kill the future prospect & advancement of aviation science in that line. What a sad end for the Concorde.

It's better to leave it on and let it run per designed efficiency since it can take a fridge almost 12 hours to cool down to set temperature once it has warmed up. Curbing excessive opening of the fridge is a better energy saving strategy, but if you have kids in the house, may be almost impossible to achieve

Exactly. Even without subsidy. Our budget will still be in a deficit.
So most of the savings from subsidy removal will go into servicing old loans and also reduce the amount of new loans we would have to get to fund the budget .. Going forward.
43Ronin: @ OP while I commend your write up, I must debunk some of what you said cos its very untrue. E.g When I was in the banking industry, I personally spent 3 years on a grade before getting promoted and I was considered to be a superstar as this was slightly faster than the industry average. Meanwhile, my friends at the Big4 got promoted three times during the same period. OP the embolden is a huge untruth. The Big4 are the least to promote talkless of 3 times promotion in 3 years(huge fantasy. Lol). My big bro started working in GTB(a big 4) at 2011. By 2013, he ported to another big 4(Access) where he got promoted to ABO. he spent 6 years there and got to SBO. Now after spending 1 year as SBO and managing to get a B appraisal that financial year, He ported to Stanbic where he got AM. He was about porting to sterling as DM/M before we advised him as his family to come join us where we were since he's papers were finally out. The whole process from ET to AM took him 11 years. His friends who remained loyal to that Big 4 just recently(in fact last month May) got promoted to BO. Some of them as still ABO after 11 years in a big 4. My advice to every young banker is to port with brain. If you are employed in the big 4 make sure your first and second porting are within that corridor. Do not stay more than 4 years at most in a bank on the same level. cos if you do, the industry regards you as redundant. Believe me you don't wana port from GTB to wema as an ET-ABO its career suicide. Most of those big 4 banks have their M's & SM earning up to 30M per annum(when u calculate salary, entitlement and PS) some of those big 4 even give their A/D/GMs personal jeeps with security, abroad trips for their family 2ice a year, official housing etc. And them they fraustrate the younger ones from climbing the ladder. Make the most of your time as a banker. Get promotion or get yourself in a juicy department like GRM/Admin. Don't ever slave for free. Regards

Sucre6: I have never seen that situation that will ever make me deny my mom, when I was in the university, i always use my free time when school is not on session to assist my mom in her restaurant shop, which was not very far from my school, I will always go to the shop to eat after lectures and I will spend few hours helping her even though she has like 3 people she employed that are assisting her. And most all of my course comes to eat in my mums restaurants daily.
When I got to 200 level, I would always take my ejebuter babe to go eat at my moms restaurant and after everything I will spend quality time wash plates and run few errands for mummy before leaving to my house, it got to a point, my babe would ask me to relax and she will be the one helping out. I never see that thing way go make me deny my parents.
God forbid. Even if Nah charcoal my mum is selling, I will confidently roll in the charcoal dirt with her, anyone who isn't comfortable with my parents aint worth being my friend.
