I don't watch the show but I always pop in here to read y'all's views. . .from all indications, it looks like the Prezzo fellow sure knows why he's in that house! |
I hope we didn't buy him on the strength of one wembley goal. . . Bebe and obertan matter still dey vex me die ![]() By the way, y'all better be ready to put up your best behaviour and support my main man Robert Lewandowski becaues he is coming to O.T whether Sir Alex or anybody else likes it or not. . .in fact, I am personally ready to go and buy him with my own money ![]() |
And they call this a kidnap!? |
I see nothing wrong with what Keshi has done. . . its all part of the training, all part of learning to be disciplined and behaving properly - both off and on the field of play. Such measures should be encouraged because ultimately, it is for the good of the players as individuals; the image they will potray as role models and ambassadors of Nigeria and for the greater good of the game! |
Lets get this straight - is it D'Banj's song or Sarkodie's? As in, who is featuring who!!? |
I was just going to ask who the Powell dude is. . . anyways, I can't shout anymore - I just hope to God he's not another winger, we've had more than enough of them already. Secondly, I'd be delighted if he was a player we could draft straight into the first team! |
Truely, Spain got out of jail on this one. . .I knew this Italians could spring a surprise but I never though they could play this good. The passing was just impressive, even when Spain tried to press 'em high up they didn't budge! Pirlo was imperious, De Rossi absolutely bossed his defence-line like a seasoned vet, Marqissio impressed immensely from midfield too. Di Natalie, Cassano, Geovinco and Super-mario all had decent games and really worked hard. . .I am going to be keeping an eye out for this Azzurri side, they have the potential to do wonders - little wonder Prandelli had said with so much confidence that he could sleep very peacefully because they've prepared well; and it seems they really have! |
afrodoc: [b]These players you mention came into the limelight, the big stage, the big club at relatively advanced ages. . . .it doesn't mean they were not fully developed or playing well enough outside the limelight! |
montelik: I was being sarcastic. I have and will continue to argue that we need to have patience with our young players, particularly those who come through the ranks. Most present day United fans may not remember, but the famed "Fergie fledglings" didn't set the world alight the moment they came into the 1st team. Only Giggs looked spectacular early on. It took a few years before they really started to come into their own. Nowadays that patience isn't there with us fans because we want to win now and have low tolerance for poor play. But if a player has obvious and easily visible skill, talent and quality, as well as a good attitude and hard-working. You give him time and opportunities before you put him out to pasture.skill, talent and quality - nucca pu'leeeze, that dude only just barely knows how to run, turn and kick a ball; do not bestow on him more endearing qualities than he has or deserves! ![]() Time and opportunity we can scarcely afford in the face of Blue Moon rising and The Roman Revolution, even Spurs and Newcastle sef dey threaten. . .how much of the same patience, time and opportunity was given Manucho, Mame, Rossi and Frazier Campbell!!? The last two IMHO, were and still are light years better than DW. How much of it is being given Chicharito!!? After how many years of sitting at the feet and being weaned by masters of the game, OT legends; we're still waiting for the development. His fa'da last time I checked, we are still eligible for Carling Cup games, the DW developmental experiment can be carried out there forever if they like. . . .and if SAF insists on still playing DW in the first-team, his fa'da too ![]() UTD legend my butt-crack the day he becomes that, I revert back to supporting 3Sc and BCC Lions! ![]() |
Pain: The bitter pill is that I see a lot of aspiration here than perspiration, inspiration and collaboration. The problem with my brothers is that they tend to go it all alone. Web design requires collaboration and fusion of ideas. It like building a house. No single professional should do it all. Architects, engineers, painters, bricklayers etc must be involved. Most of the posters here are mere web enthusiasts than professionals. Nigeria cyberspace will only expand when we begin to see more specialization, collabos and synergy. Its my 50 shekels.MINT!!! |
My money's on Italy. . . *dusting Super-Mario "why always me" t-shirt in readiness* ![]() |
montelik: @ruudie. We have had this argument before and this what I and others repeatedly pointed out to those wondering why Berba was not starting. I believe we would have been worse off playing Berba with the midfield options we had for most of the campaign.I know we've thrashed this out time and again. . . just trying to emphasize my stand that any striker but Welbeck will do for UTD - my Danny disdain has nothing to do with Berba bias or Lewandowski Love - the dude's rate of development must be slower than the fabled Tales by Moonlight's tortoise attempting a hundred meter dash! |
montelik: Welbeck is rubbish, cos we all know players stop developing the moment they hit 21-22.Whats the sense in bringing a developing player to fore and keeping the more established, able legs on the back-burner at the height of a competitive season!!? Lets face it, this gamble with Welbeck is not paying any positive dividends, that is my grouse! |
More on Lewandowski. . . http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/the-ballacks/rise-rise-robert-lewandowski-104434238.html |
Nadal to win. . . Novak's streak over him has got to end sometime! |
@ topic/poster If you think married men are unhappy, wait till you hear the women side. . .they're more or less in bondage compared to what men experience in marriage! |
... The first season at Dortmund was not a huge personal success and he was branded "Lewandoofski" after a couple of particularly bad misses (doof meaning stupid in German). Still, he scored eight goals and won the title again. "I never ever thought about giving up and throwing it all away," he told Kicker magazine. "I hadn't worked that hard to get so far just to give up."Full article: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/may/29/euro-2012-experts-network-poland-profile |
coogar: someone must fill in the gaps owen and berbatov would leave.Lewandowski at the very least assures us what we are currently lacking in the striking department - physical presence in and around the opposition area plus a good eye for goal - and contrary to perception, he is quite heavily involved in the build up to most of the goals Dortmund score, holds up the ball and links up play very well. Not the very best striking option out there and he won't cost a lot; but like I will never tire of saying anything will suffice as long as it ammounts to reducing the ridiculous amount of time i have to bear seeing the image of that dunce Welbeck on my Tv! |
Welbeck will develop. . . blah, blah, blah. . . i've been hearing that since that dude's been 18yrs old! How old is he now, 21 going on 22!!!? Spare me abegi ![]() By the way guess how old Lewandowski is. . .!!? So we should siddon look, grow gray hair for nyansh and wait for DW to grow brain because na im father give SAF work abi ![]() I'd rather have a one-eyed, one-foot Lewandowski or Pavlyuchenko or even Grand-Pa Owen as my fall-back option rather Welbeck. Jeez, that dude is Ghanian? I wonder why the Govt in Ghana has not come out to publicly and officially disowned him yet - heck, the streets of Asante or Takoradi are filled with Ofori-Kwaye's, Mensah's, Kwaku's and Kojo's half that dunce's age that kmow where the goalpost is and how to whack a ball properly enough towards it to ensure a score. The rate and quality of Welbeck's misses is beyond alarming; in fact SportScience need to do some investigations or research on it - just this past season alone, there was more than enough to fill a double-faced DVD! ![]() |
mbulela: ya right. he has a very bright future. Are you kidding me ~ right head, whaaat. . . .where. . . how come!!? Let me tell you, that boy's shakara is what will ultimately be his downfall. . .put your foot firmly through the ball and let the net shake violently like a Koffi, Amankwa, Yeboah or Kevin-Prince would and let everybody rest, he'll be there forming see-lee-ky ![]() Well, I blame SAF and all the others who refuse to put him in place and make him realise he is just starting and doesn't know jack yet - imagine Welbeck, a full England international, the dundee-UTD that should be training with FCB U-11's, his footballing IQ is so low it makes Sani Kaita look a genius in comparison! Abeg, abeg, abeg. . . una no let me vex me pass so! ![]() |
Emperoh: @ Ruddie9 too low! ![]() I trust SAF knows what to do!! |
Really expecting Germany to give Portugal a thorough hiding. . . anything less and I'd be greatly disappointed! |
holymike47: I thought texting "STOP" to 3030 will end the various spam from Airtel. I just did, i got an instant spam again saying:Same here. . . ![]() |
Same ol'. . .same ol'. Albeit probably the only way to hurt the mammoth PDP machinery! |
coogar: it seems you love players with awkward names.I admit, I am sucker for the dangerous sounding names. . . .but more importantly, I'd give anything never to see a certain Danny Welbeck kick a ball - be it tennis, volley or huuman - for Manchester United, ever again! Believe me, I'll fast, pray and eventually drink to a stupor if this were to come to pass! |
Poland's coach seems to imply Lewandowski has signed for Man utd.
i swear if this is true. . .i'll empty my bank account and buy a jersey for every single userID on the UTD fan thread ![]() |
The bane of the Spanish is going to be that break from the FCB squad dominance. . .I am really, really sensing an upset in the opener against Italy and maybe, just maybe, the seemingly impossible - Spain crashing out in the group stage! |
Emperoh: Do u need TB Joshua's number? This would be two very welcome developments. . . especially the Chilean strike ~ anyone that'd spare me the sight of that Tara'do Welbeck when the new season kicks off!!! |
afrodoc: i am not saying he is exceptional there or dt he is as good there as when he is on wing but he is able to play there when push comes to shove.talking about ashley young he has been one of d England national team's best players in d last 1 year playing primarily from dt position.and to clarify issues when i said centrally i didn't mean central midfield,i meant in d role just behind d strikerI understand what you mean when you say centrally. . .for me I still consider the man behind the striker as a CM - a creative one! Hazard is more of a winger through and through, that's why Chelsea bought him; everything I've seen of him and every citation I've read about the dude points to him playing on the wings and culminates with mention of pace and CR7 comparisons. No thanks. If we hadn't gotten Kagawa, I'd gleefully stick with Carrick, Giggs, Ando, Cleverly, Scholes, Fletcher and Co. |
Its going to be a very angry, business-like German team out there. . .won't be betting against 'em! As for Spain, I think they've lost their way a bit - its very much changed from the WC winning team - I sense an upset in their opener! The Three-Lions, under Roy. . . .do not count them out - RH is the difference from what they've had in the past; plus he's picked majorly the very kind of squad he's like managing! |
afrodoc: my summary of the two players' abilties is thus;I vehemently disagree with the bolded. . .like I said previously - Hazard in CM is no different from putting Ashley Young there. I'd take that Danish kid Eriksson over Hazard anyday for a CM position anyday! |
