AjanleKoko: If you watched tonight's game, you can pretty much guess how the team will shape up next season.. . .and expect a whole lot more "cross and nod" goals too! |
If you're wondering why FC Bollywood lost - look up the comments of Shekpe fans after being demolished at Anfield ![]() |

londoner: The point is about the lack of professionalism of both of them.....one presenter and one veteran who by now should now better................True. . .but knowing Mode9 and how long he's been in the limelight without any major brouhahas, I am sure that one incident alone wasn't enough to trigger off such an aggravated response. Possibly Muna just pushed it a bit far, one time too many! |

@ *bent**burnt**spent* USBcable. Ever heard the phrase; "the enemy of my enemy. . ." Seeing that you have the potential to be smarter than the offspring of CR7 and Paris Hilton, I am pretty sure you can complete that! I am still a Se-vi-je-llista. . .but if we cannot win the Liga, then I'd rather the guys in Catalonia did; at least their guys know better than ways to celebrate victory than making obscene, provocative, abusive gestures at the opposition fans! |
Whatever. . .however, I save my breath till the end of sunday's games but not out of fear or cowardice; but because I still BELIEVE! 1 UTD 4 LIFE!!! |
Glazer and Nike wan bankrupt me ni'. . . .every season, new jersey - how much dem think sey be my salary!!? ![]() |
Dumb post, idiotic follow up comments. . . . ![]() Webb officiated the Man City - Newcastle game; if there was any conspiracy or intention to sway the title UTD's way, that would have been it, on that day! |

RuuDie: Also, Mode or any of the judges can only ask the contestants questions when necessary except probably during banters; the host on the other hand can ask just about anybody, even the audience questions - watch your BBA, X-factor, American Idol shows well and observe the host.@ Babe!. Please read again the following paragraphs, focusing on the emboldened text and when you finish please tell me why you reckon the statement in the first paragraph, referencing other shows, is irrelevant? |
Here's the freaking dialogue; Muna: I don't agree with you. I don't agree, but let's pass the mic. M0de9: That's why I'm a judge. Muna: C'mon, I have a say too, you know. Mode9: That's why I'm a judge. Muna: ** laughing** Pass the mic. How won't she laugh sef. What a disgrace!!! Mode9: *twisting his neck and blinking rapidly** I've been listening to hip hop for a long time. TRUST ME. TRUST ME. YOU HAVE TO RESPECT MY OPINION. Coz Mode9 should know better!! We all know Mode9's decision/opinion was right. It's true he's been in the game for years and he knows far better than Muna. That's why he should have put her on the spot by asking her to refute his claim or support her's. But, NO, He decided to go the Agbero/bus conductor route. How the french is it ridiculous? If Ryan says he doesn't agree with Simon, would Simon start b1tching? Simon is right 90% of the time, and if anyone disagree with him, he simple puts them on the spot! Irrelevant.
First of all, it is an immense responsibility that hinges on the shoulder of a compere, host or MC of a show! It takes the absolute diplomat to be able to do such a job - and I hardly think Muna covered herself in glory there. Like I said earlier, Muna as MC is in control of that show; she is the mediator, the negotiator. Judges only speak when they have to - the MC on the other hand can address or banter with just about anybody - the crowd, the judges, contestants, even folks backstage - so it was more in Muna's hand, power or jurisdiction to avert the unnecessary tension or inconvenience and she failed woefully. Language, choice of words, how you communicate is also very crucial in such a role. I know its a hip-hop show, but knowing given the circumstances "Pass the mic" sounded more like a dismissal even to my ears. . .that said, I still conclude that the blame ultimately lies with the event managing/organizing group. . . either they didn't train the people right or they just outrightly picked the wrong people for the job! |
Nigerians and their egotistical and unruly traits!!! Bunch of empty barrels. How does Muna's statement "I don't agree with you" correlate with Mode9's reply "I've been in this game for years, TURST ME. . .that's why they made me a judge" . . . Couldn't the elephant (mode9) have said "Why don't you agree with me?" or something more manly? He's a sissy!! I couldn't stop laughing at the way he was twisting his neck while talking, like a female teenager... Olodo like him. I can't even imagine Simon Cowell responding to Ryan Seacrest like that. . . Yes, Muna wasn't a judge, but so french what?! People disagree all the time, at least she didn't insult him. The best thing he could have done was to ask her questions that would make her look like a f00l. Kapish!! Rap legend my arse!! Empty nonsense.
This isn't even where the whole shenanigans erupted from. . . .it was after this when Muna said her opinion counts too! I believe M9 should have handled it better too; but if you say M9 should have said this or that, then couldn't Muna at least have said why she disagreed with M9 or something else rather than "my opinion counts" - and from all indications, her opinion didn't count for anything because she's just the compere or host. "Pass the mic" - whatever happened to "Please lets hear from the other judges" or something more innocuous. Also, Mode or any of the judges can only ask the contestants questions when necessary except probably during banters; the host on the other hand can ask just about anybody, even the audience questions - watch your BBA, X-factor, American Idol shows well and observe the host. Factoring this to Cowell-Seacrest is utterly ridiculous - for one Seacrest clearly knows how to go about airing differing views while engaging the audience and judges conversationally not confrontatinally! Well, ultimately the blame goes to whoever packaged that event - I believe they didn't take time out to really educate the principal actors well enough. |
I thought the idea was to encourage folks who are still searching. . .but most of the responses, though cheery, are quite depressing to some who are yet to have it good. Well. After graduation, waited 6 months before going for NYSC. . . .and after NYSC, waited 2 months for my first job. I've changed jobs twice since then. |
Mode9's barb certainly didn't help matters at all. . . .but I think there's more to this. What we've seen is only just a snippet and far from the bigger picture. I have a feeling that just this one minor, isolated response or comment from Muna couldn't have tripped M9 off so. As some one pointed out here, not all the judges were particularly pleased with Muna's performance. So, it is distinctly possible that all through the show, the lady had been making comments or doing things that had been upsetting M9 in particular, if not all the judges, hence the aggression on his part. Anyways, just a conjecture. |
BlueBarbie: Yea, true.. I saw it on linda ikeji's blog, she got it from his bb dp. Kswitch.. LOL!!!Hmmm. . .this blog / name keeps popping up beside any controversy ![]() |
We are retaining the title on Sunday. . .just watch! |
With some reluctance, I've managed to watch the show for a while, from the messages on the "strap" or whatever its called. . .I can see Nigerians already starting to drum up support for Goldie and those guys that look All-Africa Game rejects. Its just the same way we do in our own local politics. Seriously, I think we should try to look beyond all this false sentiments, patriotism or whatever and vote wisely - from where I stand, there's nothing inspiring about those lot we've thrown into that house to fly our flag, nothing at all! |
This is going to be the oddest UCL final ever - the favorites to win have significantly less pressure on them than the supposed 'underdogs' ![]() |
R D M isn't smiling now. . . or is he!!? ![]() 9jadelta: ibramovic needs too really offload many players nex season....chaiiii.....see old bunch.......3...0Isn't that what AVB was trying to do. . . .!!? Just wait, by the time it reaches 7-0; even DD will be offloaded too - I trust Baba Olowo ![]() |
Oh my, JT. . . . please Roy, don't take him to the Euros, please!!! |
Its probably a blessing for Chelsea that JT won't play the UCL final - Suarez and Carroll are absolutely turning him inside out here! |
tayoccu: Young man cos you don't know stuff don't mean most peeps don't .I tell ya. . . |
Tropilo: Michael Narada Walden, Quincy Jones, Terry Lewis, LA Reids.Jimmy Jam, Rodney Jenkins. . . .this list is potentially endless! |
My God, this easily ranks as the most naive statement I've seen on Nairaland! Let me educate you if you don't know, Bankruptcy is an easily obtainable status, and it can happen to the most careless, spendthrift, "I have arrived" kinda people, and that is exactly what D'Banj is. MC Hammer went Bankrupt The great Marvin Gaye went Bankrupt Meat Loaf went Bankrupt TLC went Bankrupt And you know what? These people have made over 100 TIMES the amount this local champion D'Banj is here flexing with his Aston Martin crap. Some even died after they fell into the dreaded hole of poverty! Here's a link to open your eyes to the shocking reality: http://www.biblemoneymatters.com/famous-musician-bankruptcies-from-millions-to-broke/ And you know one interesting trend? Producers never suffer the same bankruptcy fate as their artistes! And you know why? Because they're not the ones under the prying eyes of the public! A producer takes a laid back role, makes his money and lives comfortably. He has no-one spying on him and rating his dressing He has no-one to apologize to if he suddenly decides to start growing a dirty 'Fada Abraham' beard. He's not the one on stage working his arse off to the crowd. He's not the one taking cocaine and heroin to help him perform more 'energetically' on his tours. It will not matter if he has an accident that costs him both legs (God forbid sha) - so long as he's still got his hands to man the BeatCreator engine, he's still got his job -- But you know you CANNOT say the same about the artiste. Trust me - D'Banj is the MOST vulnerable of the two. The sooner you come to terms with this cold fact, the better you'll be able to handle the future reality ![]() All the same, I wish both gentlemen the best.
You straight killed it man. . .spot on! |
sholatech: Usbcable still mentioning 12th man? So the 12th Man virtually gave RM the La Liga this season with the numerous penalties and off side goals! I still remember Xabi Alonso clear handball when they won Betis 3:2 on february and would have been a draw with penalty given. Was Pepe's handball against getafe not supposed to be another Penalty against RM, same day Alexis Sanchez goal was ruled as offside and denied Barca a win? Or Higuain's clear handball in penalty area against Valencia that the 12th man refused to blow because it is RM?Guy. You're going to far back. . . . Bilbao vs RM - dubious, shady handball was given early on against Bilbao but clear handball against Ramos not given much later. |
ogbeche77: Beat city? At d etihad? Stop mocking unitedAnd who says it can't happen!? |
I think Hodgson is a fantastic choice for the England job. Since most already consider him a 'mediocre' or 'average' manager, it might just help reduce the weight of expectation from the media and fans alike, hence making his job a fair bit easier. All in all, he's certainly shown that he can perform reasonably well from the 'underdog' position. Also, I have a feeling RH can really freshen things up a little bit with some strange new faces added to the squad. He's certainly been around long enough to have spotted some 'unfancied', under-rated lads who can give more than a decent, consistent showing in the 3-lion shirt. Congratulations Roy - you have earned your stripes, man - and I know you will do a good job! |
It seems SAF has one more trick up his sleeve. Step forward Howard Webb who is to ref the Newcastle - City match.
![]() Somebody is out to ruin Webb, am sure - everything he does in this game will be highlighted for sure, especially tricky and wrong calls - and if City don't get all 3pts, all hell is going to be let loose. Poor ol' Webb! |
