European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Uefa Champions League Draw Live! by RuuDie(m): 1:14pm On Mar 16, 2012
As it stands, the eventual UCL champs will have to beat either Madrid and/or Barca to get to that crown. . . . . pheeeew! No mean feat I tell ya.
If Barca can get past Milan, then they almost certainly have one foot in the final - but if Madrid have to square off with Bayern for the final ticket, that is going to be a helluva slugfest!

fantastically, immense charade. . . . .no need to talk too much, lets wait and see the voltron that will be sent to enter AJ, Orile or Isale Eko to seize clothes!

Rubbish *hiss*

What was not included in this article is that the neighbourhood helped put out the fire before fire service came.I guess they continued from where d area boys stopped. Also the police was around to maintain peace n divert vehicles to other routes to avoid mishaps like explosion etc
You suppose know sey na folks wey get brain dey stay Aguda area nah. . . .thumbs up to my Aguda peeps!

3 games is hardly enough time to come to the conclusion that things have changed for the better.

Absolute disgrace. . . .the lack of endeavour was just depressing especially from the front men. If Rooney wanted to be on that field, his body language didn't tell it so - and here is a dude we look up to like a messiah *smh*!

Only when Pogba, Smalling and (hate to say) Welbeck came on did we see a bit of urgency and energy - the energy and industry of Pogba especially in the short span of time was impressive, looks a skipper in the making!

Absolute disgrace. . . .the lack of endeavour was just depressing especially from the front men. Maybe its high time Rooney left the club; the way he was strolling all over the field like a spectator was just annoying >:

I don't think Chelsea fans should start getting overly excited. . . . .it can all start going down-hill again in a matter of weeks. In a club where the players feel they know better than their managers, it can begin to go wrong at any moment.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Europa League: Athletic Bilbao Vs Manchester United (2 - 1) On March 15th 2012 by RuuDie(m): 12:47pm On Mar 15, 2012
;DOh.
Definitely we can turn it around...just hoof the balls into the box, typical route-one, EPL fashion; bombard them with crosses, bully 'em aerially and watch them self destruct like Napoli at the Bridge last night. Oh yes, we can!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by RuuDie(m): 2:15am On Mar 08, 2012
Messi hasn't been subbed for a over a year now, the last time he was, he'd already put in 85mins worth of work. . . . .does it look like having two or three extra games every week bothers him?

I pity EPL defenders if he ever goes there!

I choose to tow the path contrary to popular notions here. . . . .I have to doff my hat for Allegri and Milan, after such a torrid 45mins to steady themselves and close out the deal without much hassles was quite commendable. That he didn't go about making rash changes (Mesbah and Van bommel in particular) further showed the belief he had in the players. If it was Arsenal in Milan's position, 3 down at half-time, I bet you that's curtains!

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)The Apoel Fairytale - Vindication For Platini? by RuuDie(op): 11:46pm On Mar 07, 2012
Many said it would spoil the glamour and lessen the competitiveness of the UCL, allowing relatively obscure teams from the 'weaker' European Leagues get a shot at playing in the group stages.
Having seen the remarkable run of a certain Apoel Nicosia . . . .do you think Platini this is a vindication for Platini and his policy change or this is just another flash in a pan moment!!?

abegi. . . . .we should just forget that Welbeck dude - even if Messi or Maradona was added to his name it would make no difference - the guy is just a bad case of misplaced priority on the path of SAF. The time spent trying to "develop" Welbeck would have been better spent on Manucho, Mame or Macheda. . . . .& the piece of c.rap was asking for a pay-rise. JESUS!
Seriously, I thought non-tested Bebe was bad. . . . . .right now I wouldn't mind swapping him with DW - or better still haul his big, charcoal-black butt off to the DW for free!
We are certainly better off playing without a striker. . . . , if the only thing we have available is Wel angry angry angry beck!!!
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome- self-service Is Not A Sin. by RuuDie(m): 2:17pm On Feb 23, 2012
Seems to me. . . . .there's three sets of people here:
1. those who do not see self-service as sin - as per Pastor Chris
2. those who do not see self-service as sin - as per personal belief
3. those who see it is a sin or extremely bad habit

Funny twist. . . . . .
Most of the folks in group #3 readily accept that they've at some point in time indulged in it but since they are not bound by any such religious obligations or inhibitions, are not in the least bothered.
Most of the folks in the other two groups, oddly enough, claim non-indulgence.

Hard to place this Milan side. . . . is it old, young or just in-between?

On paper, they look like they have strength and pace in Nocerino, Boateng and Zlatan but when I look and see Seedorf, Van Bommel   undecided

EducationRe: Hnd Program In Nigeria Is A Scam! by RuuDie(m): 11:48am On Feb 14, 2012
Monaide:
Here's the deal: It's not about the Fg scrapping HND programme, it's about the fg giving the same level of acceptance and recognition to the HND programme in the same measure that is given to the bsc.

The plain fact still remains that polytechnics do a lot more practicals than the universities. So what remains is the recognition being given to the polytechnics in the same measure in which is given to the universities. It's not fair!

The fg MUST make the Higher National Diploma recognised in the country, it's in their hands and in their hands only and no one else. Believe you me, if the Higher National Diploma is scrapped, Nigeria as a whole will take a negative dive in terms of development, BELIEVE IT!

Institutions both private and public should even give the HND holders a chance before even condemning them. Give them a chance Give US a chance. Then if we are not good enough SACK US! But I believe you won't be disappointed.

PEACE TO NIGERIA.
My sentiments exactly. . . . my very sentiments exactly!!!
EducationRe: Hnd Program In Nigeria Is A Scam! by RuuDie(m): 11:46am On Feb 14, 2012
I think we have deviated from the topic more than we should. . . . . . its not about comparisons here; it is about the view of employers and the stance (or rather lack of it) by the Govt. It is clearly not an issue of who is better than who or which standard is higher than the other - such a debate has no end!
Yes, against all odds we have HND, NCE and other non-Uni degree holders braving the odds and breaking boundaries but the undelining thing to note is that day by day, we see job vacancies, scholarships and the like; and non-Uni degree holders are almost blatantly being left in the dark. . . . . sometimes with no mention whatsoever as though they did not exist.

Govt + the Education ministry need to come out and make a clear stand on non-Uni graduates. The ministry of Labour (or whatever) too has to step in at some point and present a clear position of where non-Uni graduates stand in the labour market. . . . .
if non-Uni degrees are no longer of value, they should find a way to make amends otherwise like the OP has put it, it is nothing but a massive charade!

For all the hype about the CIV, they really do not have a team that is to be overly reverred and certainly did not deserve to win the cup. . . . .for one, look at their middle of the park - essentially, they've got Tiote, Zokora and Yaya in there- who is the '#10' or creative midfielder!!!?

Then, it is just totally appalling to see that a team seemingly brimming with 'superstars' cannot even come up with a 5 men to take spotkicks. . . . . .what were the likes of Yaya and Gervinho doing at the tail end of the kick-takers queue. Even the coach got angry and left them to sort themselves out. Disgraceful!!!

I always sensed a bit of over-confidence in both the Ghana and CIV camps coming into this tourney because of the absence of some other African footie big-wigs. . . . .Ghana has already been undone; I fervently hope the CIV suffers the same fate.
May the 'god of soccer' smile upon the KK-11 tonight and the spirit of the departed in '93 be with them as they do battle tonight.
C'mon Zambia, Africa wants a fairy-tale ending. . . . . . .you can do it!!!
