@ruudie, welbeck is 21 n not goin to b 22 until november .i agree he still has issues wit his game but i do believe dt he still can improve.you peeps are maligning him for his poor technique but chicharito who is older n more xperienced actually is much worse than welbeck! how many times hav u seen hernandez successfully dribble an opponent?  how many times hav u seen chicharito score with a shot from outside d box? and i know dt truout his career at old trafford anytime chicharito gets involved in buildup of a move rather than b d last person to tap in d finished product he tends to spoil d move.welbeck is stronger than chicharito,a better passer,a better team player,a better crosser, chicharito is a better finisher.welbeck is still improving n should b given tym to prove himself.
i for one am tired of berbatov in dis squad, a player like berbatov is gud when u hav a dynamic n dominant midfield but wit dis our threadbare n barebones midfield he is a LIABILITY!, and d wrong side of 30.he isnt great for dis team short term wit d midfield like it is n he wont b any gud long term wit his age.
like some one said earlier it took C.Ronaldo a couple of seasons to mature on d big stage so lets give d youing guys like de gea, welbeck e.t.c some support rather than crush their fragile confidence.
regarding d morrison issue its a real pity but its not d end of d world, fergie tried to gt gazza n shearer twice n failed but united still went on to dominate d 90s,so losing morrison isnt wt will cause united's decline.an 18yr old who is a gang member, who was charged wit witness intimidation, arrested several times for assaulting his girlfriend, assaulting his own mother,a player who doesnt respect his team mates enuf to turn up for practice ,a boy who doesnt respect d most decorated coach in football.MAYBE its a gud idea he learns his football lessons elsewhere
Wether 21 or 22 or 222. . . . . .the guy is not good - if at this age, he is still sorting out his finishing and positioning, then he is only fit for a ball-boy not our #9! For f.cuk's sake Guiseppe Rossi at 18 was playing far better than this useless tarado!

You ask how many times I have seen JH14 dribble . . . . . how many times did we see RVN, Teddy Sheringham, Alan Shearer or Super Pipo take on a defender 1 v 1!!!? Those guys are in class of their own as poachers, clinical goal scorers who do not need any invitation or ceremony to make the net bulge! Where does DW fit into this - he is not a poacher, can't hold up play for others to join, doesn't link well with the midfield runners well enough WTF  angry angry angry

Well, I am not tired of Berbatov. . . . .because him and Rooney form the best of the striking options we have available.

With d two 36+ year olds in that line-up it will be us whose head drop, tire and lose concentration. Did you see d last 15-20 mins against Liverpool.
The last fifteen - twenty minutes after PS22 had gone off and we switched to a 4-4-2.

Giggs + Scholes + Carrick combo played the entire younger, fitter Liverpool midfield off the park jare don't try to color it otherwise. . . . . .they were excellent!

You are joking right? Danny's got great potential and is doing quite well 4 a striker of his age. He just needs to work on his positioning and finishing and then, there comes another Andy Cole.
Tah abomination  angry

Don't mention it again. . . . .puting that small boy's name on the same page as Andy Cole or did you mean to type Andy Carroll? Who born Welbeck well ~ he won't even make bench in Ghana's U-17!

The chance he had, put through on goal against an on-rushing Reina; even my mother knew the only thing to do was strike the ball hard towards the empty goal and what did he elect to do. . . . . .!?

All this talk about age. . . . .this dude is 22 years old for crying out loud and at this age if he can't tell when to put the ball in the back of the net without the luxury of some one or two extra, 'shakara' touches then he should still be down there with the reserves, period!

18 more games in La Liga.
The issue is not Madrid dropping points. The issue is Barca losing more ground, dropping more points. That even looks more likely to happen.
Exactly 54 points still up for grabs. . . . its all in the mind for me, FCB players just need a jolt and I think they get message now.

They may have kept possession, but they created next to nothing and that wasn't just cos Welbeck had a stinker. Besides Liverpool are far from a great team, so I wouldn't be eager to field similar line-ups against d likes of Spurs and Chelsea who can exploit our defensive weaknesses and press and disrupts d midfield not to mention hold possession themselves.
If we can play possession footie like that against any of the other top sides, we will most definitely stand a better chance of beating 'em. . . . . .footie is all about patience these days. You have possession, keep it well; with time, heads drop, folks tire or just lose a bit of concentration and the 'exploitable' spaces begin to open up.

DW19 is just not good or mature enough. . . . .even O'shea has better judgement - the boy is just a waste of space angry

I wonder why the worry. . . . .you guys stand a far better chance of winning La Liga than UTD or even City does in the EPL!

I still think Barca will nick it. . . . .Madrid appear to be ruthless, but I guess when you are winning nobody sees the negatives. Constantly having to fight back from behind is hardly a good sign. Games will come when the 'fight back' will just not be enough!!!

Ok oh. . . . DDG is not to blame. Why not lets just start him tonight against Stoke and let him get a proper, thorough examination!!?

Besides the goalkeeping and defensive lapses that lead to the goals, we did play far better than Liverpool and indeed, most games this season; I'd like to see that same upfield squad (minus DW19), perhaps with Nani included against Stoke and afterwards for most games in what is left of the season. . . . .it was quite impressive the way they kept the ball and limited L'pool to just long punts down the park; essential if we are going to keep up the competition for top spot.

Surprisingly, with the 'old men' and a languid Carrick in the middle we still kept the ball and controlled the game very well eve when we went a goal down. . . . .PS22 for JH14 was not the right change at all; we should have kept that shape in the middle, those lads were really keeping the game alive for us.

Perhaps a DB9 for DW19 would have been the change to make while we weigh other options towards the end of the game. . . . .as for DDG *shakes head* no comment!!!

Omo, somehow we are in the same shoes. But mine happened in 1998/1999. By the grace of God I am OAU graduate, Computer Engineering. I am well above any job discrimination in this country or any where in the world. Even if you finish your HND and go for MBA, forget it. Your first paper will forever be HND and can not be compared to the one with BSC and MBA.

So please, tell your people, if they are really your people and they are sure they love you, tell them to help bare with the situation you will go thru in Ife for just say 5 years, than to go thru the same situation for the rest of your life. So choose between the two evil, I think one is better. LOL.
Bros, dis na fat lie. . . . when you get a Master's or MBA, nobody gives a hoot about the previous degree again!
So, in other words our OP here can still finish HND, do PGD if necessary and then onto Master's - if you sit through two years of OND in a poly, especially in practical courses like the pure sciences and engineering, I am sure you will understand why I consider year-2 in a Uni as a backward step, discrimination or not!

I still reckon it is a waste of time. . . . .I mean seriously by the time you get a Masters degree, nobody even thinks about which is your first degree; and the route to bagging a Masters is more or less the same as any Univ degree holder - so what is all the fuss about.
The view is so unbelievably myopic, everybody is so focused on getting the first job, entry-level and not thinking in the long-term, Univ degree might ease you into getting that first job but if you don't further or build on that first degree you don't get to move up the rungs of the ladder in your career path!

As for direct free-kicks, its high time we got a 'real' dead-ball specialist; always wonder why the opposition bother to build a wall, we hardly ever score!

I restate, UTD should just promote Sir Giggsy to coach and specifically teach those wingers how to ping a ball accurately into the box. It was just sheer agony the number of times we got behind the Arsenal defence from the flanks and the 'right' ball just wasn't delievered to the strikers!!!

Worst advice you can give to someone that have a BSc admission. It is better to go to Bowen or Kogi State University than to go to Yabatech. HND is HND. Please don't slow down your progress in life because of extra 2 years you will spend studying for your BSc against HND
I am at present practicing what I preached and its going ever so smoothly. . . . .so if I have to use me as a case-study, how can that advice ever be the worst to give the OP!?

Discrimination or not, I know the responses I get when I walk into any room anywhere in Naija and present my certificates - hence my initial comments about "a Yabatch kpali carrying weight".
It didn't always land me the job but it didn't make me despair either. . . . .no, I was and never will be fazed because I know, with all boldness and confidence, how very solid the foundation of my education is built upon.

At the end of the day, the certificate you hold doesn't really determine how and where you end. . . . . .the Bsc/B.eng only gives you a slight edge over the next man, a possible early start - but it doesn't guarantee you that the next man isn't going to overtake you at a latter stage.
EducationRe: Oau Second Yr Comp Engr Vs Yabatech Hnd1 Comp Engr: Plz Help by RuuDie(m): 4:32pm On Jan 24, 2012
@ OP,

Yes oh, HND is being discriminsted somewhat in the job market; but reason this *ish well. . . . .Yabatech is not beans; a Yabatech kpali carries as much weight as any of the other prestigious Unis we hear off in naija, don't let anybody tell you different!
My advice. . . .finish HND, go for PG and then straight to Masters, MBA, PHD and so on. Dropping from potential HND 1 to year 2 - not forward movement or thinking in my humble opinion!

Nothing stops the Hausa communities all over the country from staging peaceful protests. If they lead the way, others may follow. These people tacitly supported boko haram by not exposing who they are to the larger community yet now cry because their monster has grown up

Anyway, who am I supposed to protest against? Boko Haram?? Or is it again the federal government which is not doing its work that I ought protest against? Seems we all here forget - Jonathan promised he would cater for our welfare & security! That's why he was voted in - so why should it be the masses who were not listened to, that should do his work for him NOW? Where is his transformation? Did we vote him in to enjoy Aso Rock or to look at his handsome face?

In one breath, you accuse SNG of protesting and in the next, want them to protest? Why not turn this argument around - you said they were wrong to protest earlier! Well, they've agreed they are wrong NOW!

We all know the average almagiri believes he has nothing to live for which is why he'll die willingly choosing a fantasy 72 virgins (since he can't even get any arse here). But why? Who failed him? Is it not the same govt? Is it not the same leaders that "sentenced" millions to pain, poverty and failure of existence?

The argument is vacuous, lacks merit and doesn't show good understanding. All you need remember is that policies like "fuel subsidy removal" impoverished millions and ended up making many "boko haram"!

Fact: way its going, more will join them because you've added more people to those who see nothing to live for!
Spot on!

And the last time I checked, SNG or any other group for that matter are not bound by any law whatsoever to protest anything or anyone at any particular time; it is entirely (or mostly) voluntary. . . .but for Govt, not so I fear!
