Abegi leave Evra jare. . . . . every club has one of such wing-back, its just left for the others especially the full-backs and defensive midfielders to take up a shape that will accomodate or cover for that full-back! If we push Evra further up the field to play as a winger, he'll be more of a liability than asset. . . . . . he's been tried like that twice or more before and didn't contribute anything significant! Only thing is we need to find one or two able deputies for when he gets injured. |
ogazi007:Haba. You are in the Copa final and UCL knock-out stages. . . . . .and domestic form does not necessarily translate to success or failure in Europe. Your failings in the Ligue might well be the blessing you need in the Cups! |
I whole-heartedly agree with what Rio did. . . . .what sort of disrepect is that!!? So, if Rio is not an advocate for peace, what does that make Suarez? As far as I am concerned, Evra has shown today why he is UTD skipper. . . . . he offered his hand, if not for anything but at least to reduce whatever tension has been brewing. Is that what a 'reasonable' thinking human would or is supposed to do? How I wish all the other UTD players were like Rio ![]() |
I like what Rio did, not shaking hands with Suarez. . . . . Mint!!! |

TEAM NEWS Tom Cleverley is expected to play some part in Manchester United's crucial Premier League encounter with Liverpool at Old Trafford. Cleverley has been out since October with an ankle injury but has now recovered and is likely to be on the bench. Chris Smalling (knock) is set to return but Phil Jones (ankle) is still missing. courtesy Eurosport.com |
As for Carrick, the way he is playing now makes up for whatever f-ups earlier in the season. . . . . .he's just gotten better as the season progressed! |
C'mon guys. . . . . Giggsy's been messing up lately, yeah but we can't take it away from the Ol' man, he's plucking away at it - from the left, SAF has got him playing in the middle, not very familiar territory for him and also the legs are not getting any stronger but he does bring some element of seriousness, passion and commitment to the game. As a fan, you look at his face and in your heart, you gotta be thinking, "that there is a man who is playing for the shirt nothing else" - it is stirring, inspiring even. . . . I know I am when I see the Ol' lad stretch those legs and give younger guys a good running. And lets face it, if we have only 3 decent crossing opportunities in a game, I'd rather it be Giggs with the ball on all 3 occassions rather than Nani, Valencia, Young or Park! |
The way the ivorians were celebrating at the end of the Semi-final game, you'd think they'd just won the cup. . . . .maybe they think they already have with Ghana out of the way; I just pray the KK-eleven give 'em a shocker come Sunday! |
Tosinville:True that. . . .for me personally, I need direction die!!! |
This is straight-up question to the married and perhaps soon to be married guys here on NL. . . . .what was (is) the state of your finances at the point of you deciding to get married and how much of an influence it had (has)? How confident you felt making such a decision in view of what you already had in hand money-wise and what you were expecting?? |
moremi2008:Hol' it there and pack ya face. . . . . . . which one is "common polytechnic" ![]() |
Errr. . . . .I believe the topic is s'posed to be about Lovefest in Christ Embassy!? ![]() |

Thatdave:If the protest is against one thing in particular, some people will come out and say what of this other thing - just like during the Occupy Naija saga. Thumbs up to the SNG, as long as this is not all politically motivated, I dey una back! |
I seem to feel we are playing rather well. . . . . .from the Liverpool (FA cup) loss to now, there has been a marked improvement especially in the midfield. Even at 3-0, I did not think we were going to lose the game - reminded me so much of the UTDvSpurs. |
I guess maybe because the bulk of you whining do not work out in the 'fields' as the O&Gs will put it. . . . . . that's why you do not appreciate the public holidays and whatever good they bring. Some folks work for 21, 28, 56, 90+ days - approximately 12 hours a day - and they do not have the luxury of public holidays to refresh! |
Well, there's not an awful lot that can be done except ask questions till you hit a chord. . . . . .maybe going through the person's profile might be a big help as to getting to know the person's thoughts and interests. Its pretty tough and chances of success are very much hinged on how much the other person is willing to bring to the conversation. |
pro01:So if a girl says to you. . . . "all men are liars and cheats!" All you will do is single yourself out? ![]() |
Also met another user from way back,Razorr, in Surulere. . . . .extremely lively personality. Person I'd love very much to meet now - mystiqueem ![]() |
I think the OP has a point. . . . .I can understand a few good, independent women getting upset because of the tone of the topic - but lets face it - the ones that would rather insist on the guy doing all the hard work and spending all the cash are by far in the majority. It doesn't all boil down to poverty or the financial situation of such ladies though - in our society, we have been basically brought up with the mentality that the man does all the catering for; so even in some instances where the women are well equipped to take care of themselves; once a man enter's the picture, they seem to default everything onto him! |
Met a certain Gamine in V/I years ago now. . . . .not sure she is still on N/L, but very cool dame nonetheless! |
Well, my feeling is the concept is so, so outdated now. . . . . because, really, if you are well and truely in love with someone, the last thing in your mind is how many girls or guys he or she has had intercourse with. In your eyes, the person is always new. . . . .they'll always 'feel' like your first. In your mind, the both of you are like 'virgins'. |
The puzzling thing is almost all the people supporting virginity are NOT virgins. . . . . . ![]() |
Anyone heard the saying. . . . ."virginity is a lack of opportunity" *or something in that tone* ![]() |
Well, as we tend towards the age of settling down finally. . . . . I think women have it wee easier in settling for a partner; not necessarily the best available or the one they truely love by any means, but one that just about fits the bill. |
Qama:Eye-witness allegedly only saw the body being dumped, not the assault or tearing of panties. . . . . .either ways, monsieur Etute's got a helluva story to tell to get out of this one if indeed he was the last person to be seen in the company of the young lady! |
IMHO, this ranks as one of our better performances. . . . . .keep-ball was great. If we can continue to control possession this way, even if it doesn't amount to goal threats at the other end, it ensures that we're not under much pressure ourselves. |
montelik:Never made comparisons but just tried to point out to Afrodoc (who was taking a swipe at JH14) that at the very least we know the type of striker JH14 is or shaping up to be - a poacher, a finisher - doesn't know how to dribble or pass, but sure knows where the goal is, even blind-fold. . . . . .but DW19, what kind of striker is he or at best, has the potential to be!!!? |
@ Montelik, This is not an argument about JH14. . . . . . its about offloading that waste-pipe DW19 very, very, very far from O.T! |
