Well. . . . we have just seen first hand what "a pushed to the wall" Barcelona can do, they raised their game - & how they did.

Messi, Messi, Messi. . . . .what can i say; the way he raised his game from nothing, am still trying to fathom. who says this Barca side do not have the mental strength.

Now they are really ripping Bilbao apart. . . . this is astonishing exhibition stuff --- how they can still do this with all the pressure on their shoulders is beyond me!

Its just amazing that teams quite haven't found a way of coping with Alves' runs down the right flank; its a massive attacking threat & a huge majority of Barca goals come from there!

The intensity at which Barca were coming at them was too much --- i knew it was coming!

& Messi scores!

That Messi incident was a PK. . . .Barca still look good sha!

Me thinks its a back-3. . . .Mascherano & Busquets in front of the defence. Whatever it is, it looks dodgy. Messi seems out of sorts; losing the ball far too & his touch is not very assured.
Why on earth Pinto isn't 1st choice beats me. . . .casts a more solid figure between the sticks, great with his feet & his reach is an added advantage over valdez.

Very uncomfy last fifteen minutes but we saw it out! 

Now to the Nou camp; hopefully a resounding Barca win and we'll be in touching distance of Bilbao - 4 points only!

Negredo is the shining star in attack for this team, whenever he is on we are much more of a threat!

Hercules are getting a foothold now, creating more chances. . . . .we need that second goal; Fabiano off for Kanoute.

Second half begins. . . . . keep this up and we'll only be 3 points adrift the Europa Ligue spots!

Excellent game thus far. . . .Rakitic opens his account in spanish footie & what a player he is. . . .very accurate, precise crosses from both dead & live balls; not the best CM but he holds the ball well, has decent vision & passing abilities. Thank God we finally splashed the cash for a quality player.

Alvaro Negredo is pure class; strong, pacey skillful - I just hope we can keep him for another season. . . .Fabiano is not encouraging at all & I think its high time Diego Capel moved to some other club, dude offers absolutely nothing!

Recent speculations point to Jack Rodwell. . . . dunno much about the dude but we've been linked to him a li'l too frequently for my liking - but if he's an inkling better than Charlie Adam, then i'll take im gleefully!

RM play ahead of Barca for the first time in many weeks, puts a bit of pressure on y'all cuz they are sure to win. . . . Tough game on paper against Bilbao sunday, although away from "the Cathedral", Bilbao can be shyte sometimes. Might just be an anti-climax!

Every team goes thru its lean periods and this is ours. . . .in as much as many of the clubs teeming fans do not like this but we are not overly worried. Before the Juande Ramos era, we were practically no where in Spanish football; then for 5/6 consecutive seasons, we've been up there competing with the very best, shipping out the best of our lot to the bigger teams yet still putting out good showings. Invariably, depreciating returns will always set in & its always the clubs with the leaner purses that will come off worse. . . .no shakes, we'll be back & better!

& who says we're out of the Europa Ligue!!?
