manmustwac:& i bet that also means that the standard of the Eredivisie is now higher than the Calcio!!? The way i see it, spurs should be thanking their stars that the Milan players are 30-somethings cuz if all they could achieve after all this plenty huffing & puffing was the decimation of poor ol' Abbiati, then they got loads to learn about playing in the UCL. Be wary of these 30-somethings, they have experience on their side & dem no dey buy am for market ![]() |
dayokanu:*erm. . . .erm. . . .* why has nobody responded to this!!? Dayo. . . . u are crazy for dis 1! ![]() |
manmustwac: *in flumineseSo what will be your conclusion if Spuds eventually lose this game!!? |
Seriously. . . . this spurs team do not have a clue. Fine they're running their socks off and forcing the issue; but if they don't have a healthy lead by the 70th minute, i wonder how some of their players will finish the match --- Crouch is already gasping for breath like a fish outta water, Palacios, VDV & Lennon look like they will not make it beyond the 75min mark. Milan might be playing at a slower, boring pace --- maybe inadvertently --- but seems the sensible thing to be doing given the conditions. |
& this is the difference between Barca & Real Madrid --- if it was Madrid, this probably woulda been all 3 points lost. |
HNIC:Saw Berba's then. . . . .Haven't seen Rooney's yet but from the still photos i've seen of it, the height he was off the ground --- i gotta say it should better Berba's! |
Even if Real Madrid was leading 10-0, i'd still put my money on FC Barca. . . . .not anytime in this season will Madrid get the better of the "evil spirits" Mourinho factor or no. |
According to Rio's twitter. Park is back. Welcome back Iron lung.
Very welcome news. . . .very, very welcome news ![]() |
Sad to see the run come to an end. . . .but we still have a hand on the title and sorely need to do something about our away form. Where i watched the game, there was lots of criticism for young J. EVans but personally i don't feel the kid did too badly! |
Actually, In hindsight, It looks like this was probably the best weekend to lose our first match. With our rivals dropping points (even though Arsenal have gained a point on us, The manner wouldnt have helped them).
I concur! |
AjanleKoko:No be lie. . . .didn't expect any miracle to happen against RM; not in that second leg at least. i think everybody associated with Sevilla Fc is basically just waiting for this season to end so that manzano can start afresh on a clean slate. Del Nido has now realized for the club to make form of impact, they have to spend and try to keep their better players. there's no creativity in midfield, all we do is take the ball wide; and even in that department, Capel and Perroti are failing woefully to deliver (the latter being surprising cuz earlier in the season, he was one of our brighter sparks). If we can keep Negredo for next season, i'd be very delighted; as for Fabiano, i am still undecided abotu him because he's got potential just needs someone to push him to work harder. |
Another impressive home performance. . . can't they just put the same effort into the away fixtures!? |

Pharoh:You can scatter your mouth anyhow you want. . . . .e no do me nada --- 1 thing is for sure; bodi no dey pepper me every time the "evil spirits" put the ball in the back of the opposition net. . . . .& they do it so, so regularly ![]() |
medjai:You have to understand that we run on very limited budget and have to sell to buy. . . .no doubts Konko is one of the far better players in our rank but thats only in the attacking sense; he's very much like an Alves. We'll definitely shore up the defence at the close season but more than that we desperately need that playmaker in the middle of the park to create things --- Romaric & Zokora is hardly the pair to deliver this! |
This is gonna be a tough 1---as long as we don't lose, am a'ight! ![]() |
Funny how Charlie is creating such a furore. . . . .i maintain, i'll manage my Carrick just the way he is than pay anything over the 10 for Adam! |
Am glad we didn't get any new players for the squad. . . .yep, we are not playing but the relative stability and understanding amongst the players we have is what is keeping us afloat thus far. Liverpool and Chelsea potentially are going to be spending valuable tinkering their squads to accommodate new personnel. . . .in our position, we cannot to be doing this at this stage. Granted, not shoring up the squad is a big risk, but one i feel worth taking given the time - we're almost there, almost there! |
Its more like Villa on the left, Pedro on the Right and Messi down the middle. . . . . *assuming they were all standing put* The pace and movement makes it hard to figure out who is where; and the precision of the play sometimes is just absolutely mind-blowing. . . .u can't watch this team and not appreciate the beauty and balance in the play; its pure poetry in motion - well except of course, you are a Madrista ![]() |
Rakitić is commonly deployed for his very mature and strong playing style. While playing in the Bundesliga with Schalke, he is mainly used as a held back playmaker and is capable of creating attacks and also holding the ball well to keep possession. He is, to a much lesser extent, also known for contributing to defense which is only seen when his club would play a defensive game. He often is chosen to take set pieces for both Schalke and Croatia. We certainly need a great deal of that ![]() |
Sevilla have signed Chile midfielder Gary Medel on a four-and-a-half year contract.http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/31012011/58/la-liga-sevilla-sign-chilean-pitbull-medel.html |
dayokanu:Deal is done. . . .Rakitic along with Medel from Boca Juniors are now Sevilla players. |
eyoniggar:Even God knows he can't do this with the likes of CR7, Di Maria, Ozil, Higuain & Benzema on the pitch! |
StarBoard:He'd better not leave yet, I want to see that his personal "unbeaten home" run record smashed to shambles by the "evil spirits" in the Santiago Bernabeu ![]() |
bgees:Very funny. . . . lets see what mascot "King Kenny" will do --- maybe he will somehow magically wrestle back 1 of the 4 UCL spots! |
Pharoh:U still believe this crap. . . . . . . wake up and smell the coffee man, its a 7pt difference now ![]() And i think y'all should start worrying about the pack coming from behind, Villareal are now seriously snapping at y'alls heels! |
![]() In what world would real best the current generation of FC Barcelona. . . . .such a world does not exist yet!!! ![]() |
My word. . . . We better not get thumped with all this plenty noise oh --- JM will have a field week rubbing it in our faces ![]() |
Mourinho snubs media ahead of Copa matchhttp://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/25012011/58/la-liga-mourinho-snubs-media-ahead-copa-match.html |
Sevilla V Real Madrid Massive, massive game --- getting past Real to the Cup finals will be a big, big boost for what has been an absolutely topsy-turvy season! |
Charlie --- good left foot; fine crosses & cross-field passes, exceptional enthusiasm. . . . .but I'll stick to my Carrick, Ando, Gibson, Fletcher and Co. I cannot say why but I just do not see anything in the dude to raise my BP beyond normal. Well, maybe if he eventually makes it to Anfield, he'll prove me wrong! |
debosky:Spot on Debo. . . . |
