I feel a striker who has scored 50 goals in his first two seasons in a foreign league, while playing alone upfront and amidst so many injuries in the same period deserves that vote. Eto'o has players like Henry, messi and Iniesta laying balls at his feet so his job's a lot easier.
As Krayola put it, Torres is simply a beast especially when playing as a lone striker.

If you're looking for such a player - 1 who doesn't have much in terms of quality assistants around him - maybe you should be looking at the top scorer in the Bundesliga <the Wolfsburg fella> or Diego Forlan!

i think its about time people started giving SAMUEL ETO'O some credit - i think he is the best striker in the world now. . . . . he's worked hard right from his Mallorca days and deserves to be put way up there with the very best!

I think we'll get neither, though Benzema is still easier to get than Ribery. Tevez matter will affect all the transfer dealings.

i'll take some xception to that. . . . . . . Benzema's quite happy at Lyon but Ribery's a bit unsettled!

I'd rather we did away with C.Ronaldo if Real are still interested and get Ribery or Robinho - we still have a relatively stable side that doesn't need an awful lot of tweaking!
