BodyKiss: Really? You mean behavior like this right?
What is wrong with that video-two team-mates having an argument; something that you would only see once in every hundred FCB game...is this your idea of an indisciplined side!!? By the way, I said HUMBLE - how does this clip relate to humility!?

If that be the case, I challenge you to bring out other instances where any member of FCB staff has spoken out of turn, disrespected his mates or opposition, physically or verbally assaulted his mates or opposition players, made unsavory gestures at the fans, press etc.

ibnquasale: Most of us are already fallen for this cheap respect thing being preached by Barcelona. I am a Chelsea fan and i dont have any issue with CR7, Messi or Guardiola, but the idea of humility is what baffles me.

The Barcelona players are acting script... on the pitch they are so arrogant and can simulate like mad, influence and mislead referees unnecessarily, yet they claim to show respect (maybe off field sha).

Ronaldo on the other hand may not be "humble", but what of the Barcelona player and their former coach? Pep Guardiola has no respect for anyone, even his players, he sidelined Pique for his relationship with Shakira (Can't a young man build his family himself without the influence of a coach?), got angry with Zlatan because the later comes to training with his sport car ( even Kobe flies his Chopper to training, while Lebron JAmes uses his bike most times, every man has a right to live) what of Etoo's case?

The truth is if he had knew the disgraceful act would be caught on tape, He (Guardiola) would have gladly accepted the handsome handshake!
I am Manchester United fan and Barcelona players are the humblest set of football players I have ever seem in my entire football watching life...maybe off the field, in their private lives, they are different; but as far as i am concerned, when they are in the Camp Nou or in front of the camera, they behave as they are expected to. If you follow La Liga, you hardly see the team get booed even in the 'harshest' of away grounds.

Its evident in their demeanor, the way they celebrate their goals, their comments at press conferences, even from their relatively quiet lifestyle...everything about them echoes modesty and humility.

No wonder they say...they are more than just a club!

ypzilanti: Our educational institutions are producing semi illiterates. I am not abusing anyone, oh. But if you are not aware of the process of publication, peer review, and clinical trials (in case of medicine), then you are a half baked graduate.

An academic does not announce his research at a press conference or in the village square like a herbalist. If a private individual does so, that is his prerogative. As an academic, you are supposed to detail your research and send it for publishing and peer review in a reputable journal. That is how all the Nobel prize laureates do it. As a professor, the man knows very well what he is supposed to do. He is just seeking cheap publicity, or seeking to cut corners. It is him that is trying to use the so-called 'African Mentality' which i prefer to call 'Stupid Village Mentality', as certainly some Africans like me like to follow the rules.
Please, with all due respect. . . .Where is it stated categorically that this you've outlined here is the standard due process for making public, findings of a research!?
I agree with what you have written except the bit about the response from the school not been encouraging and suggesting they calm down for not being carried along. Note that the University did not on its own go out to disclaim Professor Ibeh but the provost was only responding to inquiries from reporters about the Professor's claims and as a result he gave them the University's position on the matter as of now. Which to me is a very reasonable response which maintains the integrity and credibility of both the University and Professor Ibeh. As a matter of fact the heading "UNIBEN DENOUNCES PROFESSOR IBEH" is misleading to readers.
You're quite correct!

The man has only come out to make a claim as an individual. . .what protocol is there in making a claim!? Does he have to seek permission from anyone to make an individual claim. . .and is there any proof that he did the research work with his employers time and facilities!!? Can't so-called "clinical evaluation" be done now that he has made his claims; or because he has already announced the product, it cannot be tested to verify it!!?

coogar: are you people aware we struggle only when fergie plays one of giggs/scholes in a 2-man midfield? when we have lined up carrick/cleverley or cleverley/ando, we did very well. the problem is the spastic selection in the midfield and sometimes in the defence.
Ah! Quash that jare. . .we struggle with any given midfield combo, except the opposition is onr of those lily-livered sides that refuse to commit men into attack. Which is why I am not even bothered about that anymore!

On a more serious note. . .why are you bothering yourself!!?

You don't want to continue the relationship; it is not by force, any which way he has to accept and come to terms with it. The shoe could have been on the other foot.

StarBoard: We're still debating about United's midfield?
You were an advocate for getting at least a midfield signing some time ago. Then Van Persie came and all that went through the window for you. grin
If a washed up Joe Cole can have a field day against us, I'm sure there must be problems with our midfield.
For starters check my response to one of coogar's posts. We have absolutely no defensive nous in the midfield. Therefor our back four is exposed.Considering how far up the field our full backs venture, we are always going to concede.
How to get it fixed?
We're in January.
Buy.Simple.
Guy. If you've been reading me right all along, you'll know I was one of the more stronger advocates for a striker even before hints of the RvP move started to drop (at the very least, to reduce the amount of time I had to endure watching that useless Danny Welbeck). I got my wish and I am fine!
Another thing I know is, we're not going to buy another C/M because we're already loaded (maybe not in terms of quality) in that department.

coogar: maybe the instruction is to score more goals and avoid the travesty of last season. i think we have now scored 50 goals in the league. some 14 goals more than city! in fergie's wisdom, goals win games.......outscore your opponents and the issue of goals difference would not even come up!
Need I say more!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by RuuDie(m): 9:26pm On Jan 05, 2013
StarBoard: False.
Why couldn't they bail us out vs Norwich, Spurs and Everton in the Premier League?

I hope you don't expect me to answer that question.
Because I hope you don't believe it's all good in that department.
How many games have we played all season and how many have we lost. . .compare that to the teams that have the so-callef MAZACARs, OBAMAs, OSAMAs, and whatever!!!?

Tell me what your problem is with the midfield, is that too hard again!? I can recall at a point it was playing Giggs+Scholes together in the midfield, then it was playing one or the other; now tell me what exactly it is you feel is the problem and how you want it fixed and I will counter - because if you ask me, we're absolutely FINE!

grin

coogar: giggs!

we all know you have a natural hatred for welbeck so this is a witchhunt. however, for the best player in the club last season to have deteriorated to the shower of shyte valencia is currently displaying is mind-boggling. he has lost everything - no pace, he's clumsy in possession and he's too one dimensional. he has been figured out. he can't shoot for shyte and this is not a one-off incident. valencia has been shyte all season.
I can say the same for you with respect to Scholes, Giggs and Valencia. . .I don't argue that Valencia has played well this season, never had! But he is there, available and puts in a decent shift - even if he does nothing offensively, you can at least count on him defensively. Thats why he is in there and thats why he'll get picked over and over again!
By the way, if your supposed "maverick" didn't spend so much time whinging for wage he has barely earned, would we have to put up with a shyttie Valencia!?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by RuuDie(m): 9:17pm On Jan 05, 2013
coogar: the key to that goal is the first touch.....
i am sure berbatov, rooney, torres, drogba(chest) and suarez would have finished like van persie too.

the first goal was scholesy's first - he should be closing down joe cole. the second goal was scholes' fault too. he literally stood off collins. any pressure put on collins would have distracted him from heading accurately into our net.
I agree with the bolded. . .but the second is a no-no. If you blame Scholes for the first, not pressing Joe Cole - who were the two guys closing down the second cross!? Why didn't they stop that cross from coming in too. How very convenient!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by RuuDie(m): 9:13pm On Jan 05, 2013
StarBoard: According to both of you, our midfield was fine.

SO please Ruudie, answer me.
How long are we going to keep relying on RvP for late heroics?
It surely can't be everyday. . .
Yes. If this is what it is going to boil down to each and every time, then we're going to have to depend on it.

What exactly is your problem with the midfield?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by RuuDie(m): 9:10pm On Jan 05, 2013
coogar: welbeck did well - he hustled the hammers out of possession several times. apart from his selfish play of shooting straight at jussi instead of squaring the ball for chicharito to score, welbeck didn't really put any foot wrong.

valencia fouled up once? did you watch the same game? jeez! i cannot remember anything valencia did correctly. the only time he managed to beat his marker, he sent the ball out of play with the most useless cross ever. abeg, valencia is finished - dead and buried! thank feck, nani is back.......valencia needs competiton or......retirement!
You must have been watching it on Ghana's National Tv. . .even they wouldn't have seen it so - welbeck did well - *spits on Coogar's face*!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by RuuDie(m): 9:00pm On Jan 05, 2013
coogar: conveniently forgetting he could have equalised much earlier when he had a free header from 6 yards and sent the ball over the bar. that's the ish about giggs, he does 99 things wrong and gets one thing right that leads to a goal. in my opinion, he's still shyte but i agree valencia is shittier these days.

what a first touch from robin van persie.....

i dunno why, i love goals like this. it's reminiscent of the goal drogba scored against valencia some years ago. joe cole picked the ball from the edge of chelsea's box, spotted drogba and floated one of the best passes ever with the outside of his boot, the pass dissected valencia's defence into drogba's path.....i was jumping like a child when drogba rammed the ball into the net.
How apt. . .I bet if it was Ando, Cleverly or worse, Nani that played such a pass you would edit out RvP's goal, magnify the gif to fit the dimensions of National Stadium, Surulere score-board and never let us hear or see anything else till the season ends.

Age aside, Giggs is by and large, the best winger we have in our ranks and we will continue to turn back to him for help in situations such as this until whenever the likes of "maverick" find their A-game from wherever it is he kept it!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by RuuDie(m): 8:54pm On Jan 05, 2013
@ Coogar,

if giggs was shyttie (because he missed one chance) and Valencia, shyttier (for also fouling up one time in fifteen minutes). . .please, what about Danny Welbeck!!?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by RuuDie(m): 8:52pm On Jan 05, 2013
StarBoard: Supported.
But then the question still remains:
Do we need to keep relying on our attack to keep bailing us out?
That goes to you Ruudie. . .
Before we kickstart the marathon, let me be clear with one thing...are you blaming the midfield for those goals we conceeded!!?
