usbcable: "the best team won tonight"Respect man. Respect! Your honesty is very admirable. . .you should go into that UTD thread and talk sense to some nucca's there! |
coogar: personally, i don't believe there's luck in football! He can go home to home licking the balls of every UTD fan if he cares, but he is never going to manage this institution. . .we'd take a Jordi Roura over him! |
Cristalz: You shouldn't make probabilistic statements with certainty like you're on T.B. Joshua's payrollGod bless you sweetheart. . . How could anyone say the game-plan wasn't working when in 60mins, Real hadn't gotten a clear sight of DDG's goal. . . How could anyone blame Giggsy for Modric's goal when he played most of the game on the right, in front of Rafael and the gap Modric shot from was left / left-central axis. . . How could anyone say we didn't show fighting spirit or character when Diego Lopez had to pull off 3 or 4 top-draw saves late in the game to keep Madrid ahead! I have never been prouder of this team (including Danny Welbeck) in all my life of supporting 'em - we may have lost but the way we played throughout was fantastic - and this will go into my catalog of " UTD Special European Nights"! |
I see reason with Giggsy's selection; this is a special night for him individually and off all the players out there, he'd probably be the most motivated. . .most pre-match hype has been about CR7 scoring against us, Giggs is our own parallel to that. Imagine him scoring the decider - MAGIC - and this is what European Cup night's are all about! |
coogar: fücking hell, this is going to be horrible to watch.Hold your horses mate. . .footie isn't played on paper or the arm of a couch! ![]() |
nitlad: LWKMD @ RuuDie going poetric.First find out the cities where the Thames and Almudena are located. . . Then check the countries both clubs are representing - perhaps then you will see a bit of correlation! |
I know not about the formation, tactics, strategies et al. . .All I know is, I BELIEVE!!! |
Chesty as peacocks, Blusterous as the winds of Patagonia They thought themselves immortals, Clad in all-white, make-believe angels, Across Europe they gadded, The expensively assembled Spanish Armada, Galacticos they called themselves, superior, special Infallible, impenetrable... But the Red Army would not be cowed And so they stood in their path, Solid as any known albatross, Their defiant roar carrying across the skies, Running the breath of the Thames to The Almudena's tip. In this modest Boroughs of Greater Manchester, At the feet of a humble Theatre, Where dreams, passion and belief reside, The Galacticos met their waterloo. |
Just goes to show, how much way smarter women are than men. . .! |
montelik: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21636839You can say that again! |
Hey guys...Valencia finally crossed with his left foot and we scored. Dang! Nani's stint on the sidelines just got an extension!!! ![]() |
'They don't realise that I will leave at the end of the season. They don't need to be worried about me, but what they have to do is support the team.Funny enough, in all the madness, Rafa seems to be the only one making any sense! |
coogar: which ones?Yada, yada, yada... has giggs not starred in games we have won, abegi answer and stop running around chasing your own tail. I am sick and tired of you insulting our legends, consummate gentlemen and model athletes! |
coogar: fergie has lost it - completely!Look if you carry-on with this disrespect of the great SAF, I will personally hunt you down and we will see if you have half the qualities of your moniker! |
Its quite easy for a lot of men to come out here and spew thrash because in most failed marriages, the woman is mostly at the wrong end, especially in contemporary African societies. In marriages, it's almost as though women are in bondage and here, I am talking the odd 'normal' unions, talkless of an 'ungainly' one. She says something nice, complimentary or friendly about some other man and tongues start wagging, fingers start pointing...she is seen as too cosy or comfy around another man and all hell is let loose! While, a lot of married men on the other hand, flirt and keep extra-marital affairs on the side and we don't here a thing. I feel sorry for the women who have, against their heart desires, gone on to marry the 'next available man' when otherwise it would have been safer and saner to stay single. Bottomline, not everyone will marry; so make the best use of your life as it is! |
You admit that Pique didn't get the ball? Ok your case is even better at least you don't think it was a clearance like Ajanlekoko who saw the match live and forgets that he doesn't have the advantage of seeing the replays on the spot else he woulda seen that Pique didn't get the ball You saw the gif posted by coogar look at it and tell me there was no contact between Ronaldo and Pique!! Ahn ahn do you guys just like to argue for the fun of it?
The GIF is inconclusive, it only shows fromone angle. I saw the replay numerous times, from different angles on tv and I am content with that. Why am I here arguing this anyway; the man that matters has already made the call (the wrong call IMHO) and the game has been won/lost... CR7 played a fast one, aided an abetted by a ref who was only too glad to oblige! |
"If it did" means there is an element of doubt but you admit he was nowhere near the ball right? Anyway even the Sky sports analysts and commentators repeatedly asked what Pique was complaining about
Of course, there is a n element of doubt; I am watching on Tv - abi na me be Pique or you, CR7!!? I admit that Pique did not get the ball but I also insist that he did not take out the man! Take a good look at the movement and positioning of CR7's knees when he was going down. SkySport analysts - *smh* - na today. The same analysts that were vigorously trying to prove that there was no handball on the build-up to Milan's first goal. By the way, if an agrieved player feels he has a case, won't he complain!? |
It was a clear penalty! That the assistant ref didn't see it is his fat luck. You should blame Pique for his schoolboy defending! Just show Ronaldo to the byline he didn't have to slide at all! Instead he slid and was no where near the ball. Can you tell me Pique made any contact with the ball? Did he make contact with Ronaldo's legs? Answer that honestly and tell me if its a PK or not
No. I do not think Pique's leg made contact with CR7's and if it did, it would have been the fleetest, faintest of touches...something like a fly tipping over an elephant ![]() |
nitlad: Had he been booked yesteday, he would be missing the final.Wasn't he booked for the lunge on Pedro? |
That was a stonewall penalty!! What are you talking about?
It didn't look so to me. . .and neither to the assistant ref on that side of the pitch who was probably closest to the incident! |
What was the talk about CR not playing in the final!? |
Well, well, well. . .where are the AVB critics now!!? Keep up the good work, Spurs! ![]() |
usbcable: Shey na OGTV you watch the match.Every man sees the world through his own window! |
Well, one faithful evening I was on my way back from work (I.T student at the time), saw her walking down the street before mine, jerry-can in hand. I hastened and caught up with her at the shop where she wanted to buy kerosine, at first I just didn't know how to proceed, after a few hesitant seconds, I smiled and politely introduced myself. She was a really quiet, reserved individual but for some reason she didn't mind talking to me (or rather, answering my questions) and chatted idly for a couple of minutes as I escorted her back to her gate then took my leave, making certain I thanked her for giving me audience; adding a slight, courteous bow and gracious smile for good measure. The next day, I took a chance and made certain I was outside by my street gate around that very time I'd seen her the previous day and it seemed as though fate wanted us to meet again because I spotted her after a few minutes going out on some errand. I caught up with her again and politely asked if I could accompany her; she accepted and we talked for bit more longer than the previous day. Days after that I would 'time' my return from work to coincide with what I'd now established to be her preferred pattern for running her mum's errands... perharps, she also made it easy for me in this regard too. But we would stroll around and chit-chat. Slowly but surely, we got more comfortable with each other and just sort of 'eased' into the relationship. I didn't have to explicitly 'pop the question', we just sort of tacitly agreed to date and that evening stroll which was a catalyst of sorts for our coming together, turned into something customary. |
....And I also feel that Madrid PK was quite soft. . .the way CR went down reminded me of FT's fall against J. Evans at the bridge. He already had his knees folded and I doubt if Pique even made any contact at all. |
The problem is not your personnel, the problem is not confidence, the problem is not Roura...The fvcking problem is don't go chasing a game you don't need to win! >: Time and time again FCB gets sucker-punched on the counter when they should otherwise be 'countering' or playing keep-ball whilst waiting for the opposition to 'open up'. It is just frustrating! Anyway, I don't think there is too much cause for alarm...the ligue is yours and you guys may still likely win the UCL even though I am secretly hoping you get dumped out now so UTD may have a better chance ![]() |
Bale just smashed all those goals up, sorry Rafa.
The dude is just turning into something else. . .fantastic footballer he is! |
freecocoa: If this information is anything to go by, then Oscar must have had his legs on or did he smash her head while she was lying down?Cos I don't think he could reach her head from his stumps.Very well thought out...I like! |
naptu2: Mile 12 Market - shut.On the surface, this whole operation appears like 'cleansing' of some sorts; maybe not tribal but socio-economic. I look at the work being done in Yaba particular and I ask myself if most of the previous occupants will be able to get their shops back... those new shops look like they will cost a fortune! |
190: they are supposed to be sales repsShuuuooo. . .all dis for only wan pesin. . .abi 'him collect babe for your hand ![]() |
When Young plays we actually a bit more solid in defence! |
The Russian sailors who are under arrest in Nigeria may be sentenced to life imprisonment, the Moran Security Group – the ship owner – said. The new session of the Nigerian court is set for February 25.If the Navy, local agent and port authorities have already been informed prior to their berthing. . .why allege that they crossed into Nigeria illegally ![]() |
