Same road; shooting each interchange. Mombasa is better than Abuja. Infrastructure wise it getting there. There is 3rd level interchange under construction now there. The Dongo Kundu by-pass, Mombasa northern by-bass, the dualing of main road from TZ to Malindi, and the Changamwe - the mainland to Island - all these roads are going to transform Mombasa roadwise https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBOvZX1HBEM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cn6RX16k0Rg Vlain: |
Very good but I remember in our initiation we were 60 boys. I was not any good but the top guys who shot with simple boys and arrows - and hit a eyeball everytime. I still recall a left handed dude. These things we outgrow. We stop hunting animals. We start hunting women. After all the troubles, the thorns, bruises, and running, you come home with red lean meat probably carrying strange diease. Go buy beef.Go to a bar shoot pool or snookers or even go to golf - and use it there. jl115: |
Very much doubt you can even beat me in hunting. All that gear for what Hunting are things we did growing up and outgrown it. My last hunting was in initiation ceremony to be a man. We had many targets...and we mostly had to shoot birds...very hard to bring them down...our markmanship very topnotch. Now hunting gazelle for big man - that is nonsense. With 3 dogs - you can hunt almost any animal. Without a dog - hunting is almost impossible, Hunting dogs - not a pet dog. Unless you're going to animal conservancy to pay top dollar to shoot animals. Go buy beef. Get a girlfriend or male friends. Watch football. jl115: |
Population and Climate Change. Those are bigger animals. Than the little animals you coward shoot with your little gun so you can proof you manhood. Sahara desert is pushing fulanis and kenya pastoralist to the wall. Take a bow and arrow - and spear - kill a lion like Maasai - and become a Man - you will NEVER BE. Stop murdering animals/ jl115: |
Again I said white rhinos. How many white rhinos do you have? The last one sudan died. Yes if you charge 1000 dollars for hunting and the same to see the last white rhino..what is the difference You idiots allowed arabs millionaire to bring their little tail to kill animals - sijui Qatar to hunt in maasailand - Maasai who for thousands years never hunted wildlife?? Kazikazi: |
It's the law. if animals kill a cow or sheep - gov pays a lot of money - or the Maasai will finish them. Maasai are not cowards who need guns to beat lions until they sing. Only very old and desperate lions kill Maasai sheep or goats. This is how wildlife was conserved in Africa before European. There was clear chain of command. Human and his animals are the top. Lion and his kingdom. jl115: |
You think you dutch forefather feared Maasai for nothing. Maasai are paid a lot of money if lion eat their sheep or goats. Or the lions will learn very painful lessons. The only way wild game live with Maasai and their cows, sheeps.goats - is mutual respect. The lions know Maasai is the king and his cattle are not to be hunted. Give Maasai one hour - they do not need your cowardly guns - they decimate lions. The Lions like your dogs are intelligent enough to know the master - and they co-exist peacefully. When they start eating goats - their days are over - they are promptly killed. jl115: |
You mean increasing acreage of game reserves? Because if they are animal parks reserve - you want the gov to go and dig boreholes for animals or what? If you mean making private conservancies profitable by allowing hunting - then we got a moral problem. jl115: |
In kenya short - National Park - owned by National Gov - Game reserves - own by locals Maasai mara game reserve - all the money goes to Maasai. National gov gets nothing. There are 61 Kenya National Parks and National Reserves. The area for wildlife conservation is about 44,359 square kilometres or 8% of Kenya’s land mass of 580,367 square kilometers. The protected areas embrace various types of ecosystems namely: forests, wetlands, savannah, marine, arid and semi-arid. The protected areas comprise of 23 terrestrial National Parks, 28 terrestrial National Reserves, 4 marine National Parks, 6 marine National Reserves and 4 national sanctuaries. The protected areas are categorised either as parks or reserves. The distinction between the two categories is: in parks there is complete protection of natural resources and the only activities allowed are tourism and research. On the other hand in reserves, human activities are allowed under specific conditions. These activities are for instance firewood collection in terrestrial reserves or fishing in marine reserves. Kenya National Parks and Game Reserves is where both locals and tourist go to experience Kenya safaris and beach vacations. Holidaymakers usually book Kenya safari packages or tailor-made private tours. Kenya’s safari industry is backed up by an efficient tourist infrastructure with a dazzling choice of camps and game lodges to suit all budgets. This is, after all, where modern safaris were invented back in the Twenties. Kazikazi: |
How do we decimate wildlife? Because we do not farm them like we do cows? You want us to start breeding wildlife? Ecologically that nonsense. That is turning them to cows or sheep. jl115: |
Yes why dont you go hunt a lion instead of hunting for food. Maasai live with wild animals. When wild animals misbehave - they kill them to teach them a lesson. When boys are graduating to manhood - they are allowed to hunt lions and bring their skins as proof that they will defend the community. Maasai do not kill to eat - animals. Dorobo who are Khoisan - do that. Maasai will not eat wild game. jl115: |
When this Rhino died - called Sudan - it almost made global news. It was world last white Rhino. Everything is preserved. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GFU6i0zzrQ |
It depend on what you want to conserve. If you want to conserve zebras go for it. If you want to preserve rare species - private conservancies will keep them - and charge lots of money for you to see them. The niche is to say keep endangered white rhinos. This is the focus for kenya - conserving endangered species - not keeping 100M buffalos. So if you come and tell us you have 30M zebras, gazelles and other useless animals - who cares? This one last white Rhino in planet earth - when he died the eggs had to extracted and preserved. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_8NF80ge40 Kazikazi: |
No. In kenya animal reserve - simply mean unfenced. Animal park mean fenced/enclosed. For example - Tsavo National Park is huge - but it's fenced. Maasai Mara is unfenced. Game reserve local community runs it. There is no border/fence. You can graze your cow with wildlife. You can build your house in animal reserve. The animal parks are exclusively for animals. Zoos and animal orphanage are little animal parks. Kazikazi: |
Not in kenya. You need a lot of license and Kenya Wildlife Service monitor. You can only keep for tourism to come and see them. Kazikazi: |
You're one who is being incorrigible. Maasai and many African managed to retain it's wildlife by refusing to hunt for the fun of it. Domesticated animals - all over the world - no one has a problem if you hunt and kill them in your farm. It use to be fun to hunt our chicken for dinner.....run it around the compound until we cornered it. Again Maasai do not hunt or kill animals. Maasai Mara is unfenced. Of course poachers might come and pay maasai to kill animals for ivory or skin...but a Maasai do not eat wild game. Dorobo - who are Khoisan offshot - are hunters and gatherers - they live and speak Maasai - but have South Africa CLICK language - they are Khoisans. There are few Khoisans in kenya - hunters and gathers - these are the folks who are majority down in South Africa - they are a minority in Kenya - but hunting is way of life for them. They simply never evolved and you have gone back to their stone age habit. jl115: |
We have private conservancies in kenya - we have community conservancies - it just that you cannot hunt. Come watch animals and go home. If you want to shoot something -we have shooting range - shoot a eyeball and go home. All wildlife belong to gov of kenya. You need a license to keep. You cannot kill. jl115: |
Having large animal reserve is not same as having large animals. We are back to Tanzanian dullness. Do you need this translated to Kiswahili? Kazikazi: |
1) Cultural - you live in hunting zone - historical - Khoisan are hunters - in Kenya we are not - its a taboo and offensive. 2) Food should be tightly controlled - you're the idiot who bring corona and hiv - by eating wild game. You think you just discovered wild game and its tasty meat - it's been here - and there is a reason why human eat cows, sheep, goats - and avoid snakes and frogs. Some idiots in Congo ate monkeys - now since 1980s - we cannot enjoy sex - without images of dying horrible deaths. Some idiots in China decided to eat everything - now they are unleashing new diseases. 3) Centuries of human knowledge - eat certain animals - that have been inspected. Next time you will bring horrible disease like Corona by eating bats - and send everyone wearing mask or even exterminate humans. jl115: |
Serengeti has most of your wild game. Kenya Tsavo is equally big but it doesn't have the abundance of wildlife that Maasai Mara -Serengeti has. Kazikazi: |
It's retarded to hunt and kill animals for fun. jl115: |
Wildlife yeah - I have never understood the logic - that would make me go and hunt something just for it sake - what are you trying to proof. If hunting generate money - I am sure tourism can generate the same money. if South Africa or Botswana are doing a better conservation job - it's probably due to their being richer than kenya - and having more money for their conservation efforts. Come, live with animals, ride animals, - but why do you have to kill them? Coz you can pay 1000 dollars? jl115: |
Where is census of your animals. And what type. And where do they stay. jl115: |
Nairobi city center is 5kms from animals. And most kenya games are in animal reserves - not in parks. Meaning they are not fenced. Do you know who protect them. Local people. Why do they protect them - it';s a taboo to kill human or animal for fun of it. jl115: |
Why dont you take your great hunting skills and industry back to Europe and re-generate the wildlife there. There are things that are morality based. Even if you came to kenya and promise to pay us 1 billion rand for every black man you shoot...we wont allow it. This is how the strong Boer was defeated. Mandela rallied the world to see how immoral and evil your people were. People started boycotting things just because it was Boer or associated with it. Hunting animals or humans is immoral. jl115: |
Definitely the sheeps, goats and cows have increased - and pressure on grazing land - has pushed wildlife. That is nobody fault. It's population pressure. Nobody has gone killing animals with guns for fun of it. jl115: |
Doesn't matter - we still wont allow it. Khoisan are hunting group - so it's okay for you to hunt in South Africa - as you're now a Khoisan. How can you tell people like Maasai who have preserved animals for thousand centuries that a rich European is free to go round killing animals! jl115: |
Hunting was banned in Kenya in the 1970 and it will never be allowed. It simply not in our culture. Kenya has been in global forefront and we have succeeded mostly in banning trade in wild game despite push by South Africa, Botswana and such countries. My strong opinion on this are based on morality. You have to accept that Europeans murdered (or slaughtered) a lot of africa animals and heritage. It cannot be brought back. jl115: |
Blood is cooked - and added to milk or other food. Drinking cow blood is not drinking human blood. So eating animal meat is cannibalism? Important thing - cow was not to be eaten - but milk and blood can be drawn from it - and eaten. There was no murderous gene that Boer has. vaxx: |
Boer if you really want meat - by hunting - grow real cojones - and stop murdering animals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mg0EFw7sPSo&t=186s |
The Maasai killed lions only during boys initiation ceremony - to proof their manhood - and for animals to be aware - that man was the KING - and lions should never think of touching cows or sheep. Maasai do not need guns or whatever to dominate animals. The animals are very aware of the order of seniority. That is why Maasai and wildlife co-existed peaceful. You cowards bring guns to kill animals. Who does that? And call it hunting. That is just plain murder. jl115: |
When you hunt for food; that is okay; we keep cows for food; We wont allow some murderous european to exercise his urge to kill on animals. Go get a girlfriend or drink beer or swim or something. Not everything is about money. If Kenyans have for centuries NEVER killed wild animals for fun or food - why allow it. This is why we have burnt several millions worth of ivory https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pBfyM6Dsm8 jl115: |

probably carrying strange diease. Go buy beef.
