The last polythene bag in kenya was 2014 - when Nigeria economy took a nosedive.

And the rpv guy was advising Ghanaians about dumping polythene bags on the Street.

Of course you can make more money in Ghana - even the Kenya girl agrees. As long as you can survive dumsor, sewage, bad roads - there is money because YOU ARE NOT AGGRESSIVE.

That is why 5 million Nigerians have descended on your country. That is already 15 percent of the population

All you do is say Please God Bless! Jesus is the Savior! AUNTIE! UNCLE! MY BRODA! SISTA- and you're very slow, timid and generally layabouts. Your are like Tanzanians.

If kenyans came - we would overrun you like Nigerians have. We work hard and we are very aggressive.

See even poor Chinese gangs - come and mine gold from your cocoa farms smiley smiley - guy run to police station : ) ohoo they are digging up my cocoa farm. China man next move to nearby forest - and dig it up, poison water with mercury and goes back to China with smuggled gold smiley

You're incredbily blessed with natural resources - but you CANNOT See iT

The guy basically said, life in Kenya is easier than Ghana when you need gov't services... Though money wise you can make more money in Accra than Kenya

Yet you sold millions of Yorubas (Biggest Slave Market Share) to BUY TEXTILE. Why didnt you use the Africa silk crap to clothe yourself - or just like kenya - use freely available animal skins?

There was Trade and Islamization going on from North Africa - because you are weaklings.

And soon enough - entire Europe descended and made you HUMAN SLAVES in the scale never seen before.

As for Benin Art and Silk - those were you kings trapping - AFTER cashing out millions of slaves to Arabs and Hausa traders - and later Europeans.

DEAL WITH YOUR SHAMEFUL HISTORY - and dont hide behind those ugly artwork and silk clothe for the king.

YOU SOLD MILLIONS FOR TEXTILE.

obaaderemi:
The clothes used by the binis and Yoruba were made from silk from the African silkworm, Silly. Study history.
They didn't buy Nada from Arabs. we're talking 14th century here.
Can you show any pictorial evidence like I did( wink) that Kenyans centuries ago wore loin clothes of animal skin? Let's see old images, maybe paintings at least.

1) Kenyans wore loin clothes - made from leather.
2) Kenyans were so military advance - the Arabs and European did not enslave us
3) We did not sell fellow Kenyans to buy clothes.
4) What you're describing as clothing or artwork - were just kings and their expensive toys - that they probably bought from Northern Arabs and Berbers. The general population were walking naked most likely - and working for the king.

If you're running to history - please study history - because if we go there - youll lose.

obaaderemi:
You are not answering my question: did you actually say that no black Kenyan tribe had any article of clothing no matter how minimal to cover their bum until the Arabs discovered by? grin
You call Bini artwork ugly? Your envy will be the end of you, Son.

Show me what your ancestors made. Don't attach yourself to the Nubians of the upper Nile. They got nothing to do with you. If they did, at what point did you lose that creativity to the point Arabs found you buck naked? grin

Show me something like this from Kenya.

They use to receive lot more in donors and all the aid money - but unless you invest in infrastructure - aid money is bullcrap. The counties and infrastructure - especially major roads will open up the north - and eventually pay off - because they probably have a lot of minerals. The roads definitely fix the insecurity of marauding cattle rustlers up north.

Turkana if South Sudan - tarmac the road from Juba to Nadapal - will really open up - like the Isiolo to Moyale is opening up. The roads in Somali region are nearly there - I think about 800m dollars Isoilo to Mandera is going on - and Garissa to Mandera is past Wajir.

kikuyu2:
A lot of Northerners are very happy with Uhunye's infrastructural development plan.
I've heard Somalis, Boranas, Turkanas and a Rendille all remarking on the developmental sea change that's taken place since 2013. Some of these places had no tarmac!
Though, there's still much to be done I do believe the corner has been BEEN turned. There are new schools, clinics, boreholes and social facilities thanks to both the central government and county allocations.
Btw, Turkana county has receieved 600 mn $ since 2013!

All were under the British - Governor of the Gold Coast. It just wasnt direct coloniliasm - except the sliver along the coastline. But Ashanti King reported to British Governor based in Gold Coast - I guess Accra. The Ashantis and all rest of kingdoms paid homepage and huge money to British from 1820s.

Every little resistance to the arrangement that recognised the Gold Coast Governor as the rule of Ghana - the British would go to that king and beat some sense into them - okay they became wars - and later huge fines (war repartation) to Ghanians for causing those wars.

mdntiri:
The Northern territories, the Asante empire, the Western Togoland and the Gold Coast proper COULD ALSO all be referred to as the Gold Coast territory.
PoliticsRe: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp2018: 4:53pm On Jul 28, 2021
Your own stories versus Wikipedia - which one do I believe in? All of those regions were under - Governor of the Gold Coast - a Briton.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_Coast_(British_colony)
The Gold Coast was a British Crown Colony on the Gulf of Guinea in West Africa from 1821 until its independence in 1957.[2] The term Gold Coast is also often used to describe all of the four separate jurisdictions that were under the administration of the Governor of the Gold Coast. These were the Gold Coast itself, Ashanti, the Northern Territories Protectorate and the British Togoland trust territory.[3

vankelvin:
The guy is seriously sick in the head.
He stays on nairaland and just be writing stories straight from head and his other lunatics will come and support him... Very funny grin grin

They don't even know the difference between
Gold Coast Territory and Ghana so they keep making stories to please themselves.

We had
--Volta Region which was then Western Togoland under French rule
--Ashanti Empire ruled by the Ashanti King
--Northern Territory under German rule
Then Gold Coast which was later under British rule.

Ghana was formed out of these 4 different territories.... You guys really have heart to endure his lunacy.

One absurd thing about him is he doesn't stick to one argument to the end.
He keeps jumping from one topic to another. He goes round round then he starts everything all over again....
Such a lunatic old kenyan.

Nigeria eats its shoe leather
The hides of cows, sheep and goats are eaten
The leather industry in Nigeria is going through difficult times.
The skin of animals like cows, sheep and goats, which are needed for the production of goods like shoes, bags and belts, are being eaten at an alarming rate.
"Many people can no longer afford to buy beef because it is very expensive. They have now resorted to eating cow skin. If beef was cheap, nobody would eat cow skin."

This is also true in Ghana

You're NOT answering the question. At what point did the Yoruba lose the art and craft of making textile - that they had sell their own kin and kith - in millions - for the prize of a piece of clothe.

Perhaps if you only stopped eating COW and GOAT skins - you would have made yourself a nice loin cloth - and avoided enslaving millions of your people - again for CLOTHING

That some ugly artwork. My people were painting better stuff in Meroe and Nubian hills in Lower Egypt about 3,000 years ago - building pyramids and all that.

obaaderemi:
Those clothes were made before the Europeans and Arabs came, bushman.
See it again. wink
No wonder the Arabs enslaved black east Africans on their own land.

Education is actually the most important thing. It's almost the denominator of success. Obviously your ability to even understand half what I write is constrained. Critical thinking skills are absent.
AfriqueDuZuid:
You know education is important to certain extent, right?

You just have to get the basics right to get and thrive in this world. To be relient, to be a go getter, to have entrepreneurial drive, etc you need no high schooling experience.

This school education is irrelevant if we are to base that to how successful one gets.

For instance even if you finished in primary you can still go n do Coding basics and go on to conquer the it sphere.

of course there is no excuse. Just fact that areas prone to food challenges in kenya are not heavily populated so the impact is muted. south africa is slightly better than kenya. many south african have food security challenges. why is that.
AfriqueDuZuid:
Kenya food issues is not due to lack of land its due to utilizing most land on flowers and tea.

Semi arid/arid argument is pointless in the world of advanced farming methods like hydropholic,

More over kenya does not have water issue, check the map of kenya you will see more rivers than roads. The drought in east africa is not due to lack of water but lack of better utilization of its water bodies. Build dams n stuff

Of course - there is malnutrition in kenya - But for South Africa - why are your kids underperforming?
AfriqueDuZuid:
But i believe kenya is not a better country to speak about malnutrition.

USAID report said 26%of the same age group suffers from chronic malnutrition, although its a drop from a decade ago.

And kenya also has food security issues
