Yes GNI - and that probably the only sensible thing you said; GNI/GDP; not major difference really in terms of figures; say GNI per capita and GDP (PPP) per capita. As for Eq Guinea - it has similar problems is Ghana - it has poor HCI - most people are like you - poor, ignorant and sick. Just30: |
You 're more indebted than Kenya despite all the minerals. Last I checked your debt to GDP was 75% or more...the debt to revenue ratio was something crazy like 50-60%. Kenya has is probably at 65% or less debt to GDP....and service ratio still below 40%... You cannot repay china - when you've mortagaged cocoa, bauxite, gold, name it to them. Just30: |
I am not surprised the kenya girl who has been in Accra described your country as full of your type. Just30: |
Human Development include wealth of nation - and natural resources are important. As for human capital index - strictly looking at HCI - kenya has best in Africa HDI - UNDP index - consider HCI plus wealth and other indicators - marries HCI and GDP essentially HCI - WB index - consider health and education - strongly looking at human resources. Kenya HCI score is 0.55 - the top in Africa Ghana HCI score is 0.45 - 10 percent difference Just30: |
Mad cow, index is 0-1; if you turn it into percentage; it simply mean Ghana at 61.1% and Kenya at 60.1% - that is as minimal as the difference can get - despite gazillion of minerals in your country. You should be very ashamed. Mineral-rich countries with brains - like South Africa, Botswana and Nambia - are 70-80% - now there is a big difference there Then we have Mauritius at 80% - as it races to become 1st Africa country to become a developed country, Just30: |
As of 2019 - Kenya and Ghana are near similar - both in medium - despite Ghana huge natural resources in gold, oil, bauxite and aluminium. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_African_countries_by_Human_Development_Index obaaderemi: |
China caused COVID that has damaged the global economy - and we are not going to pay until economy is back on track. We asked them for further six month debt moratorium. There is nothing they can do except cut new loans. Ghana should do the same. China has to bear some responsibility - at very least - reschedule their debt. This kenya girl breaks Ghana down - they are illiterates like we have seen here in this forum. Very insightful video. The girl says...even having basic conversation is so difficult...and I can say their written communication as seen here is equally shocking. Kenya education obviously best in Africa. Ghana - brain drain - everyone cannot wait to leave. On the infrastructure - Ghana cannot compete please, you just can't ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAQXi4gAj-U |
KRA beat revenue target to collect 17B - in ordinary taxes alone. Like GDP - the taxes now have doubled in less than 10yrs. https://www.the-star.co.ke/news/2021-07-03-kra-defies-covid-to-beat-revenue-collection-target-for-2020-21/ |
Old muthaiga into town houses...this was one unit in old muthaiga...now 4 unit..each 2.5m dollars..10m dollar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjGD8Rkf_-k |
To help Ndukwu - Nairobi top 5 estates for me would be. 1) Old Muthaiga -obviously flying a drone here is out of questions - and even seeing houses here driving around . What make Muthaiga - old muthaiga exclusive - really old money - houses sits on average 2 acres plus - it almost impossible to find a land for sale - and of course it sorrounded by Karua forest - so birds and monkeys - and freshest of air. It beats old karen by just being 5km from city center and 2kms from Westland. and Muthaiga has one best golf club. If you are lucky to buy old muthaiga - it will be 5m dollars..only international drug dealers can afford otherwise it old inherited money. This house goes for 6.5m dollars - sits on 2.8 acres. Old muthaiga dont have new house...but the land alone will kill you. This really old money who inherit stuff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwnVsjMJPTA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAOVcPGRV7U https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FWKVKcagF4 2) Old Karen - the karen - with 5 acres plus per unit - you keep horses and quadbikes - surrounded by Ngong forest- not the new Karen with town houses. Like old Muthaiga - it exclusive with Karen golf club - it further from city center - but it makes for it by larger land -and really large crazy 10 bedroom plus houses - but it not as exclusive as Muthaiga. New stupid money can buy into it - something almost impossible in Old Muthaiga. Kenya open is either held in Muthaiga or Karen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4esol9WUWdY 3) This is when it gets tough...Lavington including valley arcade, Old Kitusuru, Old Gigiri, Old lower Kabete and Rosssyline. I would go with Kitusuru.. bigger land size..more audacious houses...not far from everything Runda doesnt feature..Runda is coffee farm turned residence recently. 4) No 10 - or so you go for Runda...land become 1/4 or 1/2 acre - new muthaiga, new karen, new kitusuru, name it. 5) Endless list 4) |
We agree that kenya real estate is miles ahead of anything in west africa. As for comments - there are many more - I just picked the first two. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zH85eq7dhcg Vlain: |
Konza city - like Bangalore - will hopefully become Africa's silicon valley - and within the city - IT related services startups will find home including for their expat staff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhfyPxHeC-o https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3YrkR3OVxc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7EGysqfcq0 rte author=EKONGKING post=103267638]The next level of development has to be in IT (Information techonology) related field . Kenya has a very early head start in implementation . Uhuru Kenyatta should use the indian diaspora ,where they have been already designated as a tribe. They should convince the Indian IT majors ,that Kenya is perfect as their african headquarters . Kenyan indians are mostly from indian prime minister state ,there by making lobbying more effective. If Indian IT majors come to kenya ,expect American and European IT majors will also come .This all about reducing cost (thats why they came to india,in first place) This the same pitch philippines government tried and they replaced India as number one BPO nation ( business process outsourcing ) . There are lots of many IT engineers from Africa ,staying in Bangalore (India) who want to go back and establish a company in their own countries . ,Iam one of them[/quote]We are building a technology city that would be a baby step to Bangalore. |

10yrs ago there was timbukutu blog featuring real african smse. Africa need to begin from the basics. Make bicyles, tricyles, shoes, clothes, and not worry about tech stuff...but we want to fly spaceships and launch satellites...while everyone knows we cannot manufacture a mechanical bicycle. Look at Vietnam - coming from devastating war - now an exportin giant - and they export bicycles - millions that Europeans are buying for 1,00usd. Africans can make these bicyces...titanium is all over africa..steel name it. After bicyles - make okadas - the tricylces; Then move to 4 stroke for 3 wheelers. Next go for cars... basics. And in 10-20yrs we will be competing with the rest. But we want to embrace scumbags rebading chinese goods including even tissue papers now - finished goods are now being imported and rebranded EKONGKING: |
Poor Igbos; So Kanu was arrested in Kenya and deported to Nigeria. Kenya is not a zoo. If you're a criminal - you will be nabbed and send back home. Ask Ocalan of the Kurdish rebellion - he found himself in Turkey. Yes kenya is welcoming and free country - but criminals soon get nabbed- becaue kenya intelligence is top notch https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/07/ipob-berates-president-kenyatta-for-kanus-alleged-abduction/ |
5.5m kenyans file their tax returns at close of deadline yesterday. I can't find Ghana or Nigeria figures but as of 2013 - South Africa was at 6m....so Kenya is doing very good.. https://www.the-star.co.ke/business/kenya/2021-07-01-55-million-taxpayers-file-their-2020-returns/ |
Anglo Zionist long left Saffas when the diamond and gold became empty or uneconomical - they left gaping holes - like they did in Latin America - and now they have moved to Ghana and West Africa - and Congo of courses. kikuyu1: |
Kantanka and Innoson are just doggy west African crap importing cars from Guangdong Foday Automobile Co., Ltd., trading as Foday, is an automotive manufacturing company based in Guangdong, China http://www.fodayauto.com/en/product_list.html Chinese just laughing at poor Africans like Ghana via Foday, BAIC and JMC, Xi Jinping lets African presidents launch 'domestic' car brands |
Kantanka of course is rebadged - chinese crap - the same with Innoson. But madman like to argue like a madman does. Make biycles - modern bicycles - that the developed world are now buying - as they go green. Just30: |
Make bicycles first - Vietname export 10B dollar worth of bicyles; then make a car like this;otherwise don't rebadge chinese crap otherwise you'll lose the afCFA secretariat - because Africa countries will not become dumping ground for bootlegged substandard chinese product badged with made in Ghana. Not kenya for sure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOkyXwOiNNU Start like China did - from the bottom - don't climb the tree from up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fwk6HPJ6J8 Just30: |
Comparative study of both Nairobi and Lagos high end real estates property indicate that Lagos is waaay more expensive than Nairobi. Why!? When you compare the property prices per square meters of space( in IKoyi and Banana Island vs Kenya's Karen, Runda, Nyari, Kirisuru, Muthaiga, Lavington etc) you can easily get a 450 square meter property in Lagos at $1Millon plus while the same amount in Kenya would get you a 4000 square meters property. Again, what makes Lagos property very expensive? Population wise and land area wise Lagos has a smaller high end real estate land mass compared to Nairobi's. IKoyi, Banana Island has an area of less than 20 kilometers square while Nairobi's high end estate land mass is in excess of 150 square kilometers. When we factor in the supply vs demand economics, Lagos high end space becomes very expensive because it is scarce Vlain: |
Nigerian shows fellow west africa why Kenya real estate is on another level. Ghanian mad cow will of course differ ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zH85eq7dhcg This comment is informative= just got wrong on railway part... I am Kenyan, just subscribed to your channel. You look humble and ready to learn. I can tell you Kenya we do not have any major resource like oil but we depend only on human capital just like Japan and Singapore have done. The country literacy level is 87 percent ranked 3rd in Africa . The road network in rural area in Kenya is equally the same as urban area hence fast movement and connectivity. Kenya has the best railway network in Africa. Diaspora people are investing back in the country just like china did some years back. If you follow very well what the president of Ghana nana Addo says, that is what is happening on the ground in Kenya. No need to compare Nigeria and Kenya. Nigeria is the biggest economy in Africa and the most populous but the problem now is the quality of life in Lagos compared to Nairobi. Nigerians can do it better than Kenya if they have the will, because of the big market going with their population and also oil and gas resource. Last but not least i think Kenya not having oil, gas and other resources is a blessing in disguise, no civil wars and fighting for resources, the only resource Kenyans have is knowledge from good education. all in all we are still brothers from the same continent called Africa. |
Yes that good. Not Kantanaka crap. Just30: |
This probably due to the pandemic - Nairobi dropped 20 places - but Kenya still ahead. https://africa.businessinsider.com/local/markets/here-are-the-top-5-african-countries-with-the-most-developed-startup-ecosystems/23v1mx8 obaaderemi: |

Subaru Impreza Wrx - dominated for 30yrs - for poor west african who know nothing about racing car. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3IQr3GyqHc |
Safari rally is back for 5yrs; The brutal roughest rally ended. Nothing like the one before - that covered entire Kenya - this one is like 300kms. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdEl_-znoTc |
You only drift if you try it with your old Audi. If you're driving a proper racing car - which do not exist in Ghana - you won't drift unless you're untrained. That is why racing cars are more than horsepower and torgues - it about steering, tires, suspension and entire chasis. It not about stepping on the accelerator. To drive at 250-300 kms per hour in rough road in tough corners is not a joke. You see you probably never seen a racing competition like nearly every kenya has seen. We grew up seeing legend like Collins Mcrae - driving his subaru to ridicolous speed. Again you need to see how those cars turn corners - --before you see - they are gone. That is why they remove exhaust and make as loud as possible to warn you to get the hell out. That is why only an ignorant twit like you can say Subaru Impreza WRX or Mistubishi Lancer Evo are crap - these are rallying cars - Japanase do sell them cheaply - a bit dumped down version.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFOyM1K3swc&t=293s Just30: |
