Here we go with hair-splitting. I was just telling a fellow slowpoke that makuti looking like airstrip is patronized by the rich - including many kenyans. You can only fly to Lewa if you charter a flight, and you're not going home, you're going to Safari. Should I define the rich for you? Do you need to put their worth - dollar millionaires? or billionaires or 2 ex-japs car owning rich like you. I am richer than you - maybe 15 times - but I still won't charter a flight to Lewa to watch animals. I'll drive myself there if I need to. TayserMahiri: |
I am calmed down - I think wine is for sissies like you. When you're ready to drink man-stuff let me know.I told you I have 20yrs online experience - and there is nothing you can say to me that wind me up. TayserMahiri: |
And who said Wilson was for the rich. I said LEWA airstrip is for the rich. If you have locals flying to Lewa - let me know. TayserMahiri: |
Sometimes I have a problem making the distinction btw that slowpoke and the Nigerian morons. I try to keep my lane - and stick to arguing with very few people here who can string an intelligent argument. mtisTheQubit: |
How else would I struggle in life? I had to be really unluckly and really daft like that idiot. You see unlike this idiot whose highlight in life is this thread that he is monitoring and threatening to ban people - some of us have real things we are proud of - in academic world (peer reviewed research papers), in proffesional life, business life and family life.. mtisTheQubit: |
Listen toddler - you cannot beat me in anything worthwhile - be it in wealth, in education, in business - name it. My IQ is double yours. If you disagree let me know and I'll provide you evidence. TayserMahiri: |
I am glad you realize that - just let me post whatever I want to post - without you acting like a monitor here. If you disagree with whatever I post - you quote - and highlight why you think I am wrong. That is the basis of SOUND ARGUMENTATION. And I will never struggle with life unless I got your brain transplanted to me. TayserMahiri: |
And what were sweating about. You know how many Kenyans make such monies. That would put you in the upper class of Nairobi. But in reality we know you're just a struggling lower middle class. You have two ex-Japanese cars - big deal - I own more than 10 semi-trailers - each worth nearly 10M inclusive the trailer - and I don't want to tell you the real estate I own in Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. I pay nearly 3M for my 2 kids per year at international school. And I still won't call myself rich. I am middle class. Keep your lanes. Lets keep this about Nigeria vis Kenya...and don't try to be a monitor here. Nobody elected you one. TayserMahiri: |
Then you're a rich man like me - which is why you can afford to fly 15K at Wilson. Of course we know you're poor a.hole whose highlight in life is probaly this THREAD. Once we are done - we will request Seun to have it printed and sent it to you! TayserMahiri: |
Lebanese - there is none here. Most of building in CBD are owned by Kenya companies - majority black owned - then kenya gov - and the big multinationals - and then multi-lateral organisation. Whites mostly own property in 3 estates - Karen, Lavington and Muthaiga - but you can count them in one finger. Asians owns properties in parklands, highridge and part of westland. Blacks are still majority owners of all properties except maybe in Parkland-Highridge - otherwise 95% of Nairobi is owned by black kenyans - including all those tall buildings. The whites in Nairobi mostly work for NGOS and UN. The kenyan ones own huge animal convervancy mostly in Laikipia and Nakuru - and few along the coast lines. Arabs & Swahili owns lot of properties along the coastal towns. Somalis are petty traders owning gas stations, shops and such little business. Again Kenya is not South Africa. Kenya is a black as sooth country. samsobo24: |
Who told I am still building websites - I was not even in college - and I was making a clean 1M shs from those sites - You're an idiot my friend - some of us by time we were in 3rd yr at UON - everyone in our class had a job. I was already working for UN by my 4th year. I bought my first house in Nairobi at 24yrs - a year after graduating. So again listen son and I can teach you a lot. I am here basically to engage with intelligent people like Kikuyu and few Nigerians with some brains. This is sort of the medicine for my hyperactivity. Keep your lanes. Keep the pictures coming. Keep the ladies entertained. TayserMahiri: |
You may not believe it but 95% of all CBD buildings are owned by blacks. The 5% if for multinationals and multilateral organisations. Kenya is not South Africa or Zimbwabwe. Just pick any building you like and ask for ownership. And we can help you. samsobo24: |
Quick google - only 7% of KQ is owned by foreigner (KLM Airline). Kenya Airways is currently a public-private partnership. The largest shareholder is the Government of Kenya (48.9%), 38.1% is owned by KQ Lenders Company 2017 Ltd. (in turn owned by a consortium of banks), followed by KLM, which has a 7.8% stake in the company. samsobo24: |
You're wasting time. I was building website as 18yr old in 1999 and participating in the few online forums then - so I have solid 20yrs of online experience if that count for something- I learn a lot and share alot - I am barely 37 yr old now. As for your empty threats - you must be VERY VERY STUPID - it will take me exactly 5 minutes to be back with new moniker - this sites doesn't even ban IP - so I don't need to vpn tunnel here. My friend I can teach you so much - in technology, business, economy, name it. You need to find yourself a girlfriend and stop looking for one here in Nairaland. And nobody made you the prefect of Kenyans here. I have dealt with dung flies like you for so many years you don't even register in my radar - keep looking for fresh dung from the Nigerians - they are going to unleash a lot of that soon. TayserMahiri: |
I knew you were a toddler - I am here to pass my incredible knowledge - egg head - so pay attention and listen slowpoke. And I am not even 40yrs. Maybe if you read posts carefully - you'll graduate from posting online banter and pictures - and start sharing something worth being quoted or remembered here. TayserMahiri: |
Of course - when you have airArik dutch taped rickety planes - I won't be surprised if the private jets were more than commercial jets. Kenya of course has vibrant aviation industry - led the ubiquitous KQ that has big presence in Nigeria. samsobo24: |
We have gone thro this already. You give it a try - compare Nigeria and Kenya airports - based on 1) Passengers 2) Cargo 3) Aircraft Movements And comeback and tell us what you find. Try find 2017 data or even 2018 .theenchanter: |
And ar. hole I am game for you any day. I make a lot of posts. You need to behave like an adult and quote one. TayserMahiri: |
That "gas station" is trending towards 1M passengers annually. Nowenuse: |
Why doubt? Passenger figures are verifiable. You can google. Don't even try the cargo part Coz JKIA rans rings around LAGOS. JKIA is like AIRPOLIS to your airport.theenchanter: |
That is how you wish it was - The whole EAC is still not up there with Nigeria population - but your country is an oustanding zoo. Nowenuse: |
Mombasa airport receives nearly daily international flights from Turkish Airlines Ethiopian Airlines RwandAir flights Kenya Airways Air Italy flights Mombasa also receives more than 15 international charter flights per week - mainly from Europe. And then you got the whole domestic flights. Nowenuse: |
I am not sure who made that allegation - it rather obvious to me - that Wilson is for mostly chartered domestic flights. Those heading to places like Lewa - are definitely for super-rich. Flights from Wilson landing in Wajir or Kitale are for normal you and me Majority of domestic flights that are affordable operate from JKIA. Most of the flights out of Wilson - are by the Rich - these are privately own small planes and helicopters. TayserMahiri: |
That is not a definition of international airport. Even flights to Enugu - normally stops at Lagos. Nowenuse: |
When and how? Your telcom sector is now worth 8.5B or around. Ours is about half haft. When did forgivenss=facts unless you're a really deranged Nigerian.12B is south africa telcoms. I have seen claims that Nigerian telcom was worth 2014 - that was the height of Yemi Kale cooked GDP rebasing when Nigeria economy was "worth" 500B plus. Nowenuse: |
Since 1991 - De La Rue Kenya has exported notes to 30 countries. You can bet Nigeria is included. They cannot print polymer notes to this day and have now discontinued them altogether ![]() https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/2752422/facility_header.jpg?t=1542211778353 Some features 1.25 billion Kenyan shillings into the local economy every year 3000 employees in the extended supply chain Kenyan business in Kenya or Kenya and for export The most secure print site across Africa (ISO14298)
|
Who cares about 90s and before - yes Wilken (owned by Tony Rowland) once took from Dela Rue - and De la Rue bought the company - and resume printing. obaaderemi: |
They must have got it wrong otherwise most ranking out there - highly rank Nairobi 1) The University of Nairobi has been ranked position 4 in Africa and first in East Africa in the just released Journals Consortium Ranking 2) QS World University Rankings - ranks Nairobi top 10 in Africa 3) Webometrics ranks UON at no 8 etc etc forgiveness: |
Intl Airport by definition are those that receives or start international flights, has customs and immigration. If you want to fly from say Dubai to Mombasa or Kisumu or Eldy - you can do that. Only Isiolo the new one is still yet to attract daily flights. forgiveness: |
Same thing litte Arrow. Now what is banking revenue? You Gross Earnings? Gross Profit? Net Profit? And where did you get Nigeria and Kenya data? forgiveness: |
Do we have to do this slowly again - because you got bad education or what. Bank assets - loans, cash reserves and securities the bank has invested in - and throw in physical assets they have. In lay man terms - bank assets - is what bank really has to offer to you. Majority of bank assets - are loans - the more assets - the more loan book - the more their ability to lend. Banks make money by lending - depositors money (liabilities) - and charging interest on it. Nigeria banks have 100B dollars to lend to 200M nigerians - including their gov. Kenya banks have 40B dollars to lend to 50M kenyans - including their gov. Now show me you more banked than us - when bank to GDP/pop is that BAD! A proper 350B economy like South Africa has 370B dollars worth of bank asset. See how Yemi Kale cooked your stats. And then go back to school - I know majority of you schooled under Sani Abacha - so you went thro the system without learning nothing Daejoyoung: |
We settled the total banking sector assets at roughly 40B v 100B for 2017. Now let try understand what you mean by REVENUE? What is that as far as banking goes? Are you talking banking sector profit? forgiveness: |
