We settled that debate- we have about the same money in gov coffers as you have - therefore you cannot build anything we cannot build. We have build 5 international aiports with at least 1Km for landing and take-off. We have so many airstrips - and airports. KAA who are in charge of our airports - will determine which airport to build next. Probably Nakuru will make it Six International Airports. Apart from passengers - if we go to Air Cargo - you'll be so dead. ![]() forgiveness: |
Football - we are coming for you. Let see how Enugu game goes. Nigeria you'll have nothing to brag about soon. Our football is rapidly improving. Our players starting to go proffesional in Europe, and our leagues getting more funding. Watch Lobi Stars v Gor Mahia. Lobi Stars were beaten thoroughly in Nairobi. They may employ Juju at home but I am hoping Gor Mahia gets a draw and make history! And we already made to AFCON - including beating GHANA! darfay: |
Its a pretty good indicator. Banking is about money. You entire banking systems has 100B dollars to lend/invest to 200M people. Ours have 40B to lend to 50M. South Africa has 370B to lend to 60M. Which one do you think is superior. It better to lose an argument but to lose your dignity in the process is idiotic. You're becoming another forgivness idiot. As for more banks - that pretty idiotic argument - yes kenya has more banks (45) than Nigeria (18) than South Africa(6) - but we know that doesn't mean more banking - unless you look at say branch network - etc. South Africa with fewer banks are more banked. It's about the asset the banks has, the bank density, atm density, channels, the amount of muscle they back - to support small and big projects - bla de bla. As Nigeria lose - You're also loosing your mind. Ibrahimanis: |
Installed capacity. When currently Abuja is struggling to get 4M. Why would you expand to 15M - why not to 10m?. That is how you waste OIL MONEY and you wonder why you country is POOR? forgiveness: |
Why should we upgrade if its sufficient. Kisumu international airport https://www.kaa.go.ke/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Kisumu06.jpg https://www.kaa.go.ke/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Kisumu22.jpg https://www.nation.co.ke/image/view/-/1719968/medRes/476231/-/167ifdz/-/pix.jpg darfay: |
You beat us how - you're 200M strong with twice our land size - and yet only 14M of you plus visitors flew - in Kenya - we are merely 50M - and yet 4M flew domestically - and 6M internationally. For you to beat us - you need 40M plus passengers. Look at South Africa -more than 40 million passengers have passed through these airports during the 2017/2018 financial year. Now you can say South Africa thoroughly whipped us - and for us in 10-15yrs we need to grow our air traffic from 10m to 40m - which is pretty possible. Nigeria is not even on our RADAR. You're just a more populated NIGER or CHAD republic. Anything football - you beat us - don't even go there - but other sports we beat you. Shows us your RUGBY stadiums? or Crickets? Or Althetics or Hockey Stadiums? darfay: |
You're 200M people with about only 14M departing or arriving on planes. Kenya with 50M has 10M people arriving or departing. Do the ratios. 20:1 and 5:1; It's not even close. South Africa is on another level - and we are giving them 10-15 yrs before we start a thread like this with them. Just like Skyscrappers or tall buildings - Kenya will beat you senseless in matters aviation. forgiveness: |
Anyone with money can build their own airstrip - British or Nigerian or it doesn't matter. Come buy land, build a airstrip, get it certified and buy a plane - but you may have to sell all Nigerian cows to afford one. Do you know the owner of that airstrip daughter was dating Prince William - the future king of England And Lewa is one of world famed convservancy keeping some very endagered rhinos there. darfay: |

Already as we speak JKIA is at nearly 1m passenger per month - times 12 =12M. Oliver Tambo Joburg is doign 21M. forgiveness: |
This is the airstrip that UK's Prince william and Kate used when they went to engaged. They flew to that airstrip. Lewa conservancy is owned by Billionaire British family. It not that they cant afford a better looking airport - but animals comes first. https://www.africanmeccasafaris.com/wp-content/uploads/lewawildernesstrails1.jpg https://www.africanmeccasafaris.com/wp-content/uploads/lewawildernesstrails5.jpg https://www.africanmeccasafaris.com/wp-content/uploads/lewawildernesstrails4.jpg https://www.mahlatini.com/kenya/where-did-prince-william-and-kate-get-engaged/ forgiveness: |
Wilson Airport, Nairobi - The Dafno airplane park - for domestic flights to thousand of airstrip in the country. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a6/Aerial_view_of_Wilson_Airport_Nairobi.jpg |
I don't understand your argument. It obvious Japanase are better banked than US, they live longer, and name in any serious indices beat the US - US can only beat her in aggregate. Are you daft or acting like one. Yes Kenya has more superior banking sector than Nigeria - because you can see a banking sector that has 40B dollars serving 50m is way better than one with 200m with 100b. Ibrahimanis: |
Wilson Airport Nairobi - is as busy as JKIA - our main airport - but with small planes for flying tourist or for rich people to fly their kids to school to thousands of airstrip all over the country. The average Kenya serious politician own a chopper or two. Wilson Airport Nairobi - This is like you dafno for small planes & helicopters. https://www.sde.co.ke/sdemedia/sdeimages/thursday/mnozsrgf1fwt7n57ec9d00b64ce.jpg https://i.ytimg.com/vi/hlRMsE9RzLo/maxresdefault.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DCYDG2lXgAAXjXw.jpg FrudstaPresidnt: |
Land mass and population. Ibrahimanis: |
We have so many airports and airstrips - all over the country - because most rich tourist come and charter flights to take them to watch wild game. Some of our farmers and politician have personal airstrips in their farms. There are many kenyans who fly their kids to school every morning from their own airstrips. Nigeria you are babies in aviation. That Lewa airstrip is owned by British farmer who keep animals - and Prince Harry - fly from there and other rich boys who want to watch animals. darfay: |
Beyond your pagrade. Which year are talking about Boko-Haram. You have 50% of Nigeria being mulsim - yet I can bet kenya BEAT Nigeria in ISLAMIC BANKING Go back to school - you bloody illiterate fulani cattle herder employed by Buhari to look after his goats in Abuja.darfay: |
How else would you compare countries without factoring population - are you just acting or you're truly obtuse. Who told you US is everything - top in everything - US has largest economy - but likes of Scandinavian, European countries and Japan - beat her senselessly in most things that matters including banking per Capita. Ibrahimanis: |
You know ACI - but you don't know how to find credible link. Maybe it ahead - I don't know IN what terms - but find us CREDIBLE source of data - I doubt LAGOS MMA will beat JKIA in anything - in any rank - passengers, quality of air services, number of flights, name it. forgiveness: |
Don't abuse the word world class. You airports and aicraft are without the world worse. You have black out in airports, conveyor belts don't work, come on idiot. You know where to find ranking for aiport services - and you start finding nigeria from the bottom. forgiveness: |
Find us proper CREDIBLE links - not google list that anybody can spawn. LAGOS got nothing on Nairobi's JKIA. And Nairobi still has Wilson Airport which is our second busiest for domestic flights. Kenya is miles ahead of Nigeria in Aviation. Try compete in Yams and such tubers. forgiveness: |
We are in 2018 - and JKIA is approaching 1M passengers per month - per annum - you're looking at 12M passenger soon. https://www.the-star.co.ke/news/2018/10/04/jkia-passenger-numbers-rise-as-nyc-direct-flights-beckon_c1829073 And our next biggest Airport is Moi Interntional Airport - Mombasa. Then Kisumu. Then Eldoret. Then Malindi. Then so many others.Wilson Airport in Nairobi is more busy than Mombasa but is for domestic travel. Our 2017 figures are here. Domestic 4M. International 6M. Total 10M. forgiveness:

What your source wikipedia. Kenya's 85B was last year - Kenya economy. This year 2018 - we will hit 90B - we are just waiting for final Qs figures. Nigeria economy - depending on which exchange rate you take - CBN(305) or market (365) - GDP is 320 to around 370. If we use the real BLACK market exchange rate - like 450 naira to a dollar - ohoo boy - you overcooked GDp collapse to 250B or about ![]() forgiveness: |
Our first 40yrs were dictatorship. Kenyatta and then Moi dictatorship. We have had corruption and other governance challenges. Those are not excuses. Those are the stuff we did ourselves in. Nigeria similary cannot excuse civil war or military - these were acts done by Nigerians. I can excuse natural disasters or foreign invasion or Colonilism - But Nigerian military taking over Nigeria gov or Nigeria internal civil war - those are you OWN FAILINGS. Right now you're not doing any better - you've been democratic - and save for GOODLUCK who got lucky - you've elected the SAME MILITARY RULES - from OBJ - to the idiot Buhari. If Sani Abacha was not dead you'd be choosing btw Gen Buhair or Gen Abacha. And LET US NOT TALK OIL. Nigeria is hopeless country. Stop having false hope. Now oil is crashing again - and youre few years from military or civil war again. forgiveness: |
Is SGR defaulting. That "news" was part of conditionals from EximBank China when they gave us 5B dollars railway loan. In just 1yr we are already 8 yr projected CARGO.There are more than 14 trains making 28-30 cargo trips per day. Ethiopia are struggling with 1 train and have already asked Chinese to extend the repayment period. Kenya is not about to nor has it ever defaulted on Loan. We are not Nigeria or TZ who have had debt crisis after crisis. We have paid our debt in time except for few years we have asked for rescheduling. Nigeria and TZ have had to ask for debt forgiveness - several times. EximBank have already approved another 4B for final phase of SGR to Uganda border....signing is remaining. So we are still very credit worthy. naijalander: |
We have more than 5 International aiports. forgiveness: |
Doesn't matter. Kenya is doing so well in air travel. The domestic air travel is Africa fastest growing - growing at 20% annually. https://qz.com/africa/1059396/kenyas-capital-nairobi-has-recorded-the-highest-domestic-air-travel-in-africa/ https://cms.qz.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/rtsj06w-e1503404183991.jpg?quality=75&strip=all&w=1600&h=902ttps://qz.com/africa/1059396/kenyas-capital-nairobi-has-recorded-the-highest-domestic-air-travel-in-africa/ Jonraid: |
Kenya had 10M - passenger traffic in 2016. Let me look at 2017 - we might be very close to Nigeria the giant ![]() As for 2018 - JKIA alone is nearing 10M. Kenya Airway alone carries nearly 5M passengers. Jambo jet their subsidiary are approaching 1M domestic passenger annually. |
It wikipedia - not reliable. But Nairobi's JKIA long overtook Lagos MMA. Jonraid: |
2017 figures - NBS - 13m- and NCAA - 14M - this is for all passengers for airports and airstrip - departing and arriving passengers. http://saharareporters.com/2018/05/08/144-or-133-million-ncaa-nbs-give-conflicting-figures-passenger-traffic-nigerian-airports Danielnino00: |
As you regurguiate stale news - Kenya security wise is heaven compared to Nigeria - yes there are of course few political killings and intimidation - but overally our security situation is not comparable to Naijas. Tourist numbers surge 20pc ahead of Christmas https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/economy/Tourist-numbers-surge-20pc-ahead-of-Christmas/3946234-4905868-ai0n24/index.html As for SGR loan - we are doing so well - we will not only repay the loan but also make money from Chinese loan. naijalander: |
