Yeah bring the diagram
PoliticsRe: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp2018: 5:14pm On Feb 21, 2022
theenchanter:
How can a sane person believe that a country builds only 68km of roads annually?
let him bring diagram.. Nigeria if I was the president I won't pave an inch of new roads for 5 to 10yrs..the repair and maintenance backlog is staggering. You should drive without seeing a pothole..go to even Rwanda you will not see a single pothole
PoliticsRe: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp2018: 4:13pm On Feb 21, 2022
Try harder bonobo.
Let me drop someone then I come and fish for that picture DEMONSTRATING CONCLUSIVELY THAT YOUR BROKE GHANA GOV CONSTRUCTED ONLY 68Kms of new road smiley
The rest of 4,000kms - is just re-asphalting (replacing bitumen or top layer of paved road), gravelling, filling pot holes (spot repairs)

Appisko:
Is everything alright with this guy?
PoliticsRe: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp2018: 4:10pm On Feb 21, 2022
BRING THE DIAGRAM BACK HORBIT.
YOU LYING BONOBO
That diagram breaks down precisely why your country is ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
You can only manage to build 68kms of new road annually!

Even Burundi or Somalia can beat you.

Where do you take all the money.

All you hear about people who've been to Ghana - is how horrific the roads are!

Just40:
4,263km of new roads grin

Lunatic
PoliticsRe: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp2018: 4:09pm On Feb 21, 2022
Just bring that diagram back - I help break it down.
You only constructed 68Kms of new road shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked -- versus Kenya that does now 2,000kms of new road annually if not more.
You repaired mere 4,000kms
Kenya repairs more than 100,000kms - fuel levy fund alone is more than 1 billion dollars annually in kenya - for road repairs
Just40:
the maintenance was done on the existing 35,000km of paved roads of which 30,367km of it was maintain..
PoliticsRe: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp2018: 4:05pm On Feb 21, 2022
HAHAHHAHA
THE MAD COW TOOK DOWN THE DIAGRAM
THAT SHOWS THEY CAN ONLY CONSTRUCT 68KMS of NEW ROAD ANNUALLY

I knew it was bad - but I didn't imagine that BAD!

Bring back that diagram moro.n
PoliticsRe: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp2018: 4:04pm On Feb 21, 2022
Very good diagram.
You only constructed 68Kms of new road
You replace the asphast - on 1,400ksm
You put gravel in some.
Exactly
Just40:
and yet we build 4263.37km of roads

Keep crying grin grin
As you can see, we've distributed the development for all our 16 Regions to benefit, hence creating a good standard of living that is some how the same across every part of our country
PoliticsRe: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp2018: 4:02pm On Feb 21, 2022
Only a mad man believe Nigeria GDP statistics. They dont make any sense. That is why they cannot generate taxes. The economy - 210m people - with all the oil - generate taxes - far less than Kenya - I think 15B dollars inclusive of the states.
Just40:
Stop making noise and deal with facts..

Oil only contribute 7% to Nigeria Economy..

The entire mining sector of Ghana contribute just 5.5% to our economy.... These are highly diversified economies.

Keep making excuses for why Kenyan families and poor and dependent on foreign aid or why Kenyan economy is tourism dependent and you guys will remain in the circle of dependence.

The graph below is of Nigeria
PoliticsRe: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp2018: 3:59pm On Feb 21, 2022
I have gone through your entire fund - you have nothing to build even 1,000kms of new roads annually.
First eliminate the potholes in your roads.
Then start building new ones.
You road network is slightly better than Nigeria
That completely broken down.

In fact I recall the videos I have watched of Ghanians or foreigners who came from Ghana to kenya
- all recall the extremely bad roads
- potholed
- you drive will jumping up and down.

Kenya will dont have potholes except very tiny section of inner city roads -

Just40:
using our petroleum fund and PPP

Those are the facts kiddo, struggle with it. grin grin
PoliticsRe: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp2018: 3:44pm On Feb 21, 2022
We have heard that story for long. NIgeria remain a old dependant economy. Ghana is gold+oil+bauxite. Outside there is just informal black market economy. Outside that everyone want to emigrate abroad to survive. Outside that families depend on relatives abroad to sent money through western union.
Just40:
oil only contribute 7% to the Nigerian economy
The Nigerian economy is well diversified just like the Ghanaian economy..all they have to do is diversify their tax base.

Speak with fact

All the tantrums and BS need to stop.

Kenya paved road network is now about 25,000kms. The entire road network is about 250,000kms. About 160,000kms classified. Any data about kenya is easily available and verifiable.
Just40:

As we all guessed right, that their paved road network was 16,000km but rvp2018 kept posting the propaganda meant for voters

The usual madness from the resident cow. 4,260km per year using which budget?

Road maintenance doesnt mean paving road

https://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/It-s-a-shame-only-23-of-our-entire-road-network-is-paved-Roads-Minister-717991

Here is your minister 3yrs ago - 2019 - total network of 70K - with paved network of 15k or less.

Just40:
4,263KM of roads paved in 2021 bringing Ghana paved road network as at September 2021 to 39,630.37KM

Additional 11,000km under construction.
By the end of 2023, our paved road network will be 49,630.37KM.

I have a question.

This thing was compiled in 2016. What if in 2017, a country in position 35 discovers a huge mineral resource - fix its unemployment rate, improve immensely on the manufacturing sector, improve on taxation policies - which was not in the picture when projections were done? Will you still maintain your stance on this list because it was projected by white @rs dudes?

Anyone making 50yr projection is an idiot like you.
Let me tell medium term - by 2025/2026 - our economy will be 200B dollars.
In that period - South Africa economy - will still be 300-400B dollars - dont start us on GDP PPP smiley
Let move long term - 2032 - Kenya GDP will likely be 400B
And South Africa - will be stuck at 300-400B.

And if you think these are my maths - these are gov own projections - jump to pg 28 - at worse kenya gov sees growth at 6 percent for the next "enternity"

How can a cooked economy generate all these taxes in six months. We are seeing almost 30 percent revenue growth and will definitely collect more than 20 billion dollars in ordinary revenues alone.

Do you know in 2013 - 10yrs ago - our total annual taxes were 8B - now in half year we are doing 10B plus.

https://www.citizen.digital/business/kras-tax-revenues-cross-ksh1-trillion-mark-n292758
The receipts as reported by the National Treasury stood at Ksh.1.011 trillion as of January 31, compared to receipts totalling Ksh.784.9 billion at the same stage in 2021.
January tax receipts meanwhile were 28.3 per cent higher than last year at Ksh.142.8 billion in contrast with Ksh.111.3 billion previously.
The continued rise in receipts mirrors the normalisation of tax collected by the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) after the end of most COVID-19 restrictions which has allowed for the restoration of economic activity.

obaaderemi:
Idiot, morroco is still higher than you. With all the overcooking you are known for. Your GDP even grew from $95bn to $101bn in 2020, a recession year. grin Oloribu.

Several national Ids? Just say you didnt have national Id.
Kenya has national ID due to direct coloniliasm - and we kept it - and it works well dealing with many things including frauds, immigrants etc.
We have huduma number that has biometrics information....and linked all the other data like NSSF/social number/birth certification/ tax certificate.

In short there is nothing Ghana can teach kenya - try teach the bigger zoo NIgeria.

Just40:
we have had several national IDs but we have never had a biometric national ID until the last few years..

Every SIM has always been registered.. in Ghana but now, we are taking the biometrics of every SIM holder and linking it with the National ID biometrics as well as bank accounts and the house address system.

This will put a complete end to mobile money fraud, as Mobile Money hit 200 billion dollars last year

Kenya can learn this and improve because it is behind.

We have post office addresses - by Kenya Post Offices Corp - they have offices all over - with your rental box.
What we dont have is addresses in every house or plot.
Like in developed countries....where every house has a little box
In Kenya you will go the nearest post office - your market center - open your box - and close it.
GeneralDae:
You have no addresses in Kenya?

We have had a national ID since forever.
Every SIM in Kenya must be registered.
What we only lack are addresses -

That is arguable debate - but to elevate Nigeria and South Africa at same level - is pure madness.
South Africa on a good year can buy 0.5M new cars.
You can argue like we Kenyans do - that in decade or so - we may get to South Africa level if they get stuck in their current morass
But to argue that Kenya or Nigeria or Ghana are NOW (in year of 2022) at South Africa current level would make you clinically insane.
GeneralDae:
Now let's look into Kenya, shall we?

In October 2021 Kenya’s market kept falling in double-digits after reporting a 32.7% decrease in the previous month, and reports 371 units sold (-34.8%), leading Year to Date sales at 4,425 units, a 17.2% increase in sales compared to 2020. Compared to pre-pandemic levels the market is still not effectively recovered, with sales decreasing by 45% with respect to the same month in 2019.

You're now on the right track.
Compete with Rwanda...Not South Africa
GeneralDae:
Continued from last post:

Now let's take a look at how Volkswagen eventually fared in your beloved Rwanda.

In September 2021 Rwanda’s market kept remained almost flat after a 20% decrease in sales the previous month, and reports 63 units sold (+1.6%), leading Year to Date sales at 543 units, a 14.8% increase in sales compared to 2020. Compared to pre-pandemic levels the market is not completely recovered yet, in fact, with respect to September 2019 sales are down 3.1%.

Brand-wise, the leader Toyota is gaining 42.8% in the leaderboard YTD and holds 51% share, followed by Volkswagen, which reported the worst performance by falling 58.6% and by Mitsubishi, gaining 25%.

Nigerian Market 2021

In August 2021 Nigeria’s market keeps growing after a 36.9% increase in the previous month, and reports 900 units sold (+44%), leading Year to Date sales at 7,250 units, a 25.2% increase in sales compared to 2020. Compared to pre-pandemic levels the market is recovered extremely effectively, increasing sales by 62.7% with respect to the same month in 2019.

Brand-wise, Toyota remains on the top of the leaderboard and reports a 15.3% increase in sales YTD while holding 17.9% market share, followed by Ford , increasing sales by 30.5%. Volkswagen reported the best increase in sales by rising 71.6%.

As always the refuge of a scoundrel is adhominem attacks
Why would I lie and misrepresent data that is easy to verify in the internet era.
https://nairametrics.com/2018/05/15/vw-anticipates-recovery-in-nigerian-sales/
Volkswagen expects higher sales in Rwanda than Nigeria
For its Nigerian market, the company expects to assemble about a 100 cars this year . Volkswagen sold just 40 units last year. Automobile sales took a sharp hit in the last two years due to the recession and depreciation of the Naira which led to a sharp increase in cost prices of cars, especially brand new.

Why Nigeria is playing a smaller role

One would expect that Volkswagen would be more bullish on Nigeria due to its much larger population (over 160 million compared to Rwanda’s 11 million). The East African country, however, fares better on a macroeconomic level.

Real GDP growth for Rwanda is put at 8.2% in 2018 compared to Nigeria’s forecast growth of 2.1%. Real GDP growth is GDP adjusted for inflation. Higher growth means more people are likely to purchase cars.

Volkswagen was founded on the 28th of May 1937 by the German Labour Front. Fondly known as VW, it is the flagship brand of the Volkswagen Group one of the biggest automobile firms by sales in the world. Revenues for the 2017 financial year hit a record high of $264 billion.

GeneralDae:
Where did you get your data from on the cars in Nigeria and South Africa? because I know you misrepresent data and articles sometimes.
PoliticsRe: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp2018: 8:37am On Feb 20, 2022
Only an unhinged dum-dum can wake up and argue that South Africa is at same level with Nigeria or Ghana or Kenya.
South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana are at the same level with Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt.
Those are upper middle income countries or just middle income countries.

Even if it's patriotism - please some things are VERY obvious.

Just aim to get to South Africa level in the next 50yrs (looking unlikely) - Kenya is aiming to get there in 15yrs (very likely). That is ARGUABLE.

Meanwhile South Africa should aim to get to developed world - or high income countries like Mauritius just recently did.

GeneralDae:
I don't know where you get your data from but why are you celebrating the import of a VW Polo Car when at this stage we as Africans should be celebrating our own assembled or manufactured cars?

Nigerians are more in Cameroon 5 times over than they are in South Africa especially in Limbe where they engage in all forms of spare part businesses with their little shops all around. Emigration is a thing of culture sometimes and not always about poverty because even many educated or enlightened Nigerian Northerners or Middle belters are on average not interested in travelling in comparison to Southern Nigeria, not necessarily because they are richer than Southern Nigerians.

The rest of your tantrums are just gibberish.
