Defeated hopeless opposition now hiding behind silly kids. We have 22 by elections soon.
Obiano13:
HAHAHA! Ofcourse. Why dont you say this anywhere in public in Kenya then get back to me if you dont get a black eye. You can only parrot it on NL where Nigerians can buy it! The youth are by definition 100% tribeless, meaning their agitation is based only on ISSUES not tribes as you wish. Thats why they are still tribeless one year later. I'm sure you know even the Gen Zs in Eldoret can whip you if you tried saying this trash in public. Good luck with that lazy line. I thought Ruto was smart? It stands zero chance. The economic reform narrative also fell flat on its face the moment the govt that was supposedly short of money began splashing hundreds of millions every week whilst simultaneously Mobutu is renovating state house with billions each budget as if anyone ever complained of the house's former state. The ship sailed a long time ago, RIP. You may manage to sell such cheap stunts to slow Nigerians but not Kenyans. As usual you will stick to these tired lines hoping for a miracle until the next tsunami hits. Mobutu and his entire govt has to stop being a corrupt arsehole, period! The youth wont even let him finish the annual statehouse renovations/laundry. And btw, tell him to stop barricading himself in statehouse with razor wire. What is he afraid of? Thats not his house.

Reforms are bitter pills of course, they are never easy. But the masses close their eyes and swallow such pills without too much complaints only if the ruling class do same not buying presidential jets and exotic cars for themselves and their wives
Yes partly but you underestimate tribalism in Africa where people from tribes out power will never see any good done by others. Igbo will never trust Tinubu. The pain in reforms is justification to shout see. You just need to be a good political animal to go through tribal politics

It's the same thing here in Nigeria. People are disgruntled about the economic impacts of the reforms for two years running now. There seems no end in sight
What do kids know. Those fools know little.I support Tinubu painful reform. Ruto has managed to pull through and we are going into easy phase. We didn't default. Now economy is 90% fully recovered and we are lining huge projects.

Great. Housing shouldn't left to informal sector. Gov, pension, life insurance n large housing investor should build houses that are cheap enough to bought through mortgage in Africa like rest of the world
GeneralDae:
Nice one, same thing Tinubu started around February last year in all 36 states of the federation (pictures taken in October 2024).
The program aims to deliver 100,000 housing units nationwide through different financing models. Work is ongoing at a total of 13 states plus FCT to deliver 10,112 housing units under the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Program

Nigeria spends significantly more on its infrastructure compared to Ghana and Kenya, with a much larger budget allocated to developing its roads, railways, airports, and seaports. Ghana can only dream sha. We are not talking about a one city development here my bro. Nigeria is only dealing with high population explosion, high level of corruption and terrorism, if not, I don't see where you guys fit in.
You total budget is slightly above Kenya. Since 2010 we have devolution or state like gov with 47 governor n government. We are fixing our one city development n many issues. Nigeria cant even fix electricity. Tinubu has tried n I appreciate his courage but Nigeria problem are gigantic. In solidarity with Tinubu reforms we should give the Zoo time. They are fixing macro economics the only hard..it's painful but necessary

Kibra Soweto 4500 units. Gov plans 2.5m units in a decade with 500B kes investment in PPP with housing developer. After the slums spread from 1990s..Kenya finally turning the corner. Kibera slum alone has 280 acre city coming up..10 times Accra airport city. Nairobi n Kenya cities are on right path.... little houses built slowly giving way to Chinese like mega cities developed on steroids

study economies of scale...kibera is rich in land...an acre is 5m dollars in adjacent upperhill klilimani..so developers can build enough house for current residence n even more. See how Mumbai n Asian cities are doing.

Idiots like you fail to realize that IMF has been largely ineffective in Africa. You blindly believe everything foreign is good.
IMF's decision making is always a one-size-fits-all for poor countries. They've made so many mistakes in the past but have not learned a single lesson. They'll always leave Africans poorer with the kind of reforms they force your stupid leaders to take.

You are completely wrong. First the bumper harvest this year is as a result of heavy rains and not inexistence fertilizer, the fertilizer were donated by Russia but your guy sold to his reach allies, 90% of poor farmers didn't get those fertilizers. So this year's harvest has nothing to do with Ruto, unless he controls rain.

Second there are no jobs this guy has secured to people abroad. He keeps on lying to you that he secured jobs I don't know in Canada, UAE, Germany, France, UK etc. Just show a picture of Kenyans going to those countries for jobs because of Ruto. Show me their pictures while they are at the airport. Ruto is just lying.

In 10yrs of Uhuru's presidency, he borrowed 6.7 trillion shillings, Ruto has already borrowed 4 trillion in one year. It's in this regime where education is going to be a for the rich, why increase university fee tenfold to the poor citizens? Where do you want them to go and do their university education?

Ruto is just clueless.
Continue to wallow in your own propaganda. Was this first time we got rains. Ruto unlike mlevi is brilliant man. Fertilizer trick that worked was substituting DAP for NPK n that gave us 16m bags as our soil have become acidic due too much use of fertilizers. The same with other stuff...your ignorant n angry n bitter..incapable of objectivity..great thing Ruto has 9yrs to transform kenya. You have 9yrs to empty your bile online in mindless rants

Trust me many more lives would have been destroyed if we continued down the fantasy road the former regime was taking us. The amount they were spending monthly on fuel subsidies was enough to fund the fertilizer program, offer cheap credit on AFC to farmers and offer relief to the vulnerable in the cities.

I'm not trying to absolve this guys of any blame but just pointing out what populist politics does and it's consequences. The reforms they're carrying out now is to create fiscal space for them to operate moving forward and very soon their investments in agriculture, health and education will start paying off. At the same time ensuring we don't find ourselves in this hole again.
Exactly. Fertlizer subsidy already paid off with 16m more bags. We dont need to import maize this year. Other reforms will pay off. Nhif converting to SHIF will provide universal insurace coverage.with 100k county health promoters hired.. Kplc has been bankrupt n will soon be fixed. University education has grinded to debt crisis n is getting fixed.Hustler fund rolled out without drama or graft. Maize n cooking oil cartels destroyed. Exporting farmers earning more from strong dollar..those importing chinese crap are crying n should cry more. I can go on n on but this most hardworking regime that is on right track.

You thinking about 2027 politics instead of thinking how people's lives have been destroyed by this government. From last year September when he got into power upto this month already 70,000 Kenyans have lost their jobs as a result of his bad policies. Hustlers are closing down their businesses, international investors are running away from Nairobi Stock Exchange, Kenya power is on it's deathbed for the first time since Moi's era.

Petroleum products are at historic high despite the a drop in price in the international market. The guy can't keep off of people's payslip, it's deduction after deduction.

Kenya is at the worst point ever and Ruto will go down as the worst President in Kenya.
Kenya is on right track. Food inflation tamed without silly subsidies..fertliser subsidy resulted in 16m bags.Yesterday i called my farm manager to inquire on my maize..zero stealing this year as everyone got bumper harvest. Ruto facilitating jobs abroad.Structural n systemic reforms in many sectors underway including kplc. Ruto has managed to get wb n imf to pay our debts n avoid defaulting...something that would have sunk us for a decade. Ruto is best president n youll appreciate later. Now youre stuckup in azimio..bitter.2027 kichapo ya ubwa loading

What just happened in Gabon is a hint for Nigeria to stay out of Niger's issue. The people are angry with the status quo across much of Africa. Unpopular regimes are being unseated. Africans were made to believe military rule was bad and many subsahara countries shed their military government togas only to shockingly find out that the politicians are actually bigger thieves.

I told you people removing subsidies completely will mess up any economy not to talk of an African country where people are dirt poor but you wanted to live a lie. Now cost of living has skyrocketed in both Nigeria and Kenya.
I told idiots the Raila protests affects the whole of Kenya, they said it was only the garbage dominated Kibera slums. How now?
No subsidies were returned.Kenya pay stabilisation levy every month that is tapped once in a while to smooth out price changes.Big difference with subsidy

Nigeria is in 5th position in total GDP and around 25th position in GDP per capita in Africa.

Enact new modern constitution in your wasteland. Independent institution fight corruption. Ruto is not like Tanzania president. He doesn't have powers to fight corruption beyond firing someone from gov
.Police in Kenya are independent. Judiciary independent. Anti corruption bodies independent. Asset Recovery independent. The auditor general independent.Budget controller independent. In modern democracy corruption is not fought by charismatic leaders like Magufuli..they are fought by institutions..without favour or fear..however long it takes.
Kazikazi:
Madness.
Why are you removing Ruto from fighting corruption?

Ruto should fight corruption, actually all African leaders should prioritize fighting corruption.
Ruto or any other president in africa should fight corruption by doing so many stuff, but these are just the basics...

Choose and appoint clean ministers and other officials
Removing beuracracy and time wastage in dealing with corruption cases
If the laws are weak,go and convince the parliament to change the laws
Expose corrupt officials and allow the law go punish them quick
Minimize stupid gov expenditures

Tanzania dunderhead. Ruto has enviable track record of delivery. That is how rose to become minister in early 30s then deputy president in early 40s then president in early 50s.If I was you I would be busy trying to find market for agricultural goods because by end of this year we won't need them.

Suswa largest substation in Kenya and East Africa is 1400MVA - 3 times bigger than your 435.
Konza City -1050MVA- twice bigger.
Many substations in kenya that run 400KV - your 161KV is small potato.

Just40:
You're just mad

161kv is the backbone of transmission network and secondly I wasn't even referring to the transition line but the 435MVA substation which is one of a kind in Africa .... Something that has been design to handle load from Nuclear power plants

Bankrupt Kenya does not have such kind of modernization in it transmission system, you guys are left behind in the 20th century.
Your transmission network is less than Ghana and your distribution network is less than half of Ghana's

Know your place and stay there , Bankrupt Kenya is not a match for Ghana in anything
