Young man,, seek a dermatologist. I currently have lichen planus, and have been treating it steadily. It's drying up but news get a professional look ASAP

This is going to sound weired, but my take on most suicides in developing countries is that its either triggered by health(mental, physical and spiritual) but majorly finance. So rather than waste the entire organs, why not sell a kidney and solve the financial issues? They'd even be saving 2 lives at the same time. So if the person is desperate enough to take his own life, let them follow this route... Afterall, they have nothing to loose

I have seen TWO DERMATOLOGISTs in the state Specialist hospital already.
The HIV test was NEGATIVE as well.

DERMATOLOGIST not GYNECOLOGIST as earlier written pls..

I have the same condition. Its the stubborn lichen planus. It's all over my body except my face,but not itchy. Follow the link. It's frustrating, but u need to understand others really go through this

I think it may just be a post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation but she really needs to see a dermatologist for a definitive diagnosis.

I also have lichen planus. It's all over my body, but not itchy . Just see a dermatologist, I have been using the prescriptions and it's been fair

Well, I had to tell the last one to do so. I wouldn't have seen the dermatologist directly without a referral.

Better go and see a dermatologist... It will save ur life as well as ur money. I once had a skin issue and didn't know what to do. I spent a lot on concussions and many unprofessional prescribed drugs. Finally went I met a dermatologist in uch, I only spent 220 naira getting a drug. Becos when I was rightly diagnosed it helped them prescribe the right drug. I was diagnosed of Lichen planus ... So my friend listen to my addvise becos of ur life.

U need to see a medical doctor n not a dermatologist. The thing on ur skin is just a symptom, it may or may not be a skin problem.

A medical doctor should be the one who would refer u to a consultant dermatologist.

Thank you. I had seen 4 General Practitioners and wen the drugs were not working after 5 weeks opted for a specialist. So I didn't just rush to see him. However, the condition has spread to all my body now

So a doctor referred me to a dermatologist in lagos. After physical examination, he concluded that the condition was Lichen Planus. Sounds Greek but, hey, na wetin dem call am be that. Its a strain of fungal infection. I got an injection and was given a diprosalic ointment to use.

However, I would still strongly advise a proper diagnosis from your dermatologist.
