CrimeRe: Fulani Herdsmen Rape Minor To Coma In Benue Community by s4short: 1:38am On Jul 03, 2016
Please people telling these fulani stories need to be more elaborate because I don't think they have fulani written on their foreheads so reasons for suspecting them should be clearly stated because it is very possible for locals to take advantage of the diversions to perpetuate crime with maximum comfort because the focus is far from them. so we should be very careful of what we believe and say.
PoliticsRe: Ekiti Youths Declare Support For Fayose,Protest Buhari's Rascality(photos) by s4short: 7:04pm On Jun 27, 2016
Seeing such things makes me want to give up on Nigeria, so much for the leaders of tomorrow, how can we lead tomorrow when we have sold both yesterday and today for amounts that can't even feed us for 2 days, words cannot even express how pathetic it is because it can be likened to someone who stole your money and used it to buy biscuit and then gives you a piece to go and defend him and people willingly follow, this clearly betrays logical reasoning and I am beginning to think the spiritual people need to explain it to us.
CrimeRe: What Happened To The Thief That Robbed Me Some Months Ago by s4short: 10:20am On Jun 22, 2016
Kgdavid:
see, that is your problem. you have been licking ass too much grin

simple reality is that politicians are not available to be beaten. And what is the correlation between a thief in Aso Rock and the one that has been caught in the streets? is he no less a thief? Should he be set free on the grounds of unfairness? The people he robbed, are they immune to feeling their loss because politicians are stealing too?

having said that, i am strongly opposed to the act of jungle justice as it is barbaric, illegal and criminal, and brings out the worst in men.
Nobody said petty thieves should be set free, they should be handed over to the police and should face the law like the big thieves do, not for every and anybody to pour their frustrations on them because if you understand that the person stealing phones and other items is in a far worse state (psychologically and emotionally ) you will feel more of pity for him or her after the initial anger has settled.

All those who choose to beat petty thieves and bow down or hail the big thieves (corrupt leaders) are simply cowards and hypocrites, because whatever motivates them to beat a petty thief should intensify in the case of a bigger thief.

PoliticsRe: Rivers Clerics Raise Alarm Over Herdsmen’s Invasion Of Rivers’ Forests by s4short: 2:49pm On Jun 16, 2016
When will these so called clerics stop creating unnecessary religious and tribal divisions, people are grazing you call it invasion thereby inciting the locals before we know what is happening the overzealous locals may decide to confront the herdsmen which will then lead to crisis and the media people will just say fulani herdsmen have struck again.
Please let us be careful of the statements we make, hence we add our little part in contributing to already big problems.
PoliticsRe: Grazing Bill: Anambra Assembly Backs Out by s4short: 10:21am On Jun 16, 2016
str8talk1:
it is crystal clear that PMB is trying to islamize the whole of Nigeria through the back door and in the most crude and devious method.
As a student of History and a research consultant, it certain that Bubu shall surely fail in this demonic agenda of his.An example is the Alexander the Great, ruler of the Greek Empire during the Hellenistic period,336 - 165 B.C. He tried to force the Jews to speak the Greek language but he died at a very young age because he tried to fight against God.
Let the truth be told, bubu has no good agenda for Southern Nigeria, especially the SE& SS part of Nigeria.
It is obvious that Bubu has no certificate and the Court case filed against will definitely send him out of Aso Rock bringing back GEJ.

A stacked illiterate president that came into power certificateless committed these atrocities against the people of Southern Nigeria:

1. Ordered the removal of road blocks so that his murderous Fulani herdsmen brothers will have free unhindered movement into Southern Nigeria.
Consequences: kidnapping, armed robbery, genocide, rape, wanting destruction of lives and properties, forceful abduction and Islamization of young Christian girls, etc.

2. Pushing for creation of NORTH EAST DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION (NEDC) to counter NDDC,awarding amnesty to captured boko harm terrorists.

3. Soliciting and Diverting all monies from donor agencies to the North neglecting other regions in Nigeria, especially the SE & SS debated by golly erosions and devastation of land as a result of years of oil mining, gas flaring, oil spillages, zero CSR input from the OICs drillings these oil, etc

4. Claiming the Fulani Govt.(FG) of Nigeria has no moral authority to discourage his murderous Fulani herdsmen brothers from Libya,Chad and Niger from entering into Nigeria due to the existence of the so-called ECOWAS transnational treaty, even when it had been proven that they are the culprits involved in the wanting destruction of lives and property of the people of Southern Nigeria.

5. Keeping blind eye to religious and Islamic beheading and decapitating of Christians in the North, a recent incident is the killing of Mrs. Bridget and beheading of Four(4) Christians in Niger state in this jet-age where superior reasoning takes centre stage in more civilized and developed climes.

The list list is endless, the question here is what are our so-called law-breakers law-makers doing in the National Assembly, are they busy snoring away and playing truancy when such obnoxious bills are being deliberated or are we to believe that they have been bought over with the proverbial "thirty(30) pieces of silver"?

Certainly,we can't extricate the State Governors from these mess we find ourselves, they have endangered the Local governments in all states of the federation, strangulating financial resources from the indigenes who are supposed to be the king, but unfortunately due to their own myopic reasoning they have enslave themselves with poultry gifts from politicians who are not even fit to govern their own family not to even talk about handful of group of persons.

Also, the federal security agencies have been compromised and are now being used to give cover for these murderous Fulani herdsmen in the name endangered species(sic). We will recall the red-carpet treatment the latter was given by the army authority after the Agatu genocide in Benue state, also another red-carpet reception was also given to these murderous Fulani Herdsmen by the police where they ventilated their reasons for the genocidal treatment that was metted out to people of Agatu claiming it was as a result of their cows that were being poison by the former.
In all this, non of them were arrested nor charged to court. The same incidence happened in Nimbo, Enugu State which got the rest of the SE miffed and almost causing an ethnic backlash, if not for the timely intervention of elders of the region.

Finally, the sooner we begin to advocate and agitate for a better governance from these politicians the better for the continuous existence of our religion, culture and heritage.

O. George, is an Energy Consultant,Strategic Thinker and a socio-political commentator writes from Abuja.
Please all your points listed above are fictions of someone's imagination or mere speculations and they can be attributed to far better reasons than the ones you have listed just to mislead the gullible Nigerian.
Secondly, I am sure you have not gone through the grazing bill and I advise you do so.
Lastly, please the security agencies you mentioned what laws from the Nigerian constitution can they use against the herdsmen for grazing?
Thanks

waice6571:
Excuse me, this is a WHITE ELEPHANT PROJECT.

Anyone that give birth to children let him bear the responsibility of feeding.

Let federal, state and local govt be sincere in performing their constitutional responsibilities and pay salaries as at when due.

Let this government have a straight financial policy that will encourage investors both within and without.

Let them fix electricity and encourage science and technology in providing some raw materials locally.

Let them do all these and finally withdraw 100% from education and see whether our children will go to school or not. Whether they will have 3 (balanced) square meal or not. Whether anyone will wait for F.G to house, clothe and feed his wards.

Lastly, I believe no one is indigent. Give them work, and an enabling environment to do it, you'll be dazed in a short while with the positive outcome you'll see.

Remember, a lazy man deserves no food. So don't come and tell me somebody has graduated and got no job. IT IS A LAME EXCUSE TO ME.

THANKS
My brother these are children we are talking about not men, they deserve to learn free from hunger, labs, hi tech or whatever facilities are placed in the school would be useless if the student lacks a primary need such as food and as such would pay little attention to those things and remember those who can afford to feed their children well have them in private schools and it would take a while before most Nigerians will get to that level .

This is a very welcome development because we are educationally backward not basically due to lack of infrastructure or conducive environment but because most went through school (of any level) just with the hope of avoiding hunger hence killing creativity.
PoliticsRe: Grazing Bill: Anambra Assembly Backs Out by s4short: 3:26pm On Jun 15, 2016
For information sake please
1. How many of us commenting here have actually perused and understood the bill.?
2. Is there any part of the bill that says the land would be given to fulani herdsmen?
3. Is usage of the reserves restricted to only a particular group of people?
4. Could provision of these grazing reserves solve an ongoing problem in this country?

please not everything has to be tribal, political or religious, some things can be reasoned logically.

couldn't read to the end but discovered the write-up is in shambles because it doesn't make any sense, it is high time we nigerians started thinking and stop being gullible because the writer is more guilty of hate, tribalism and ethnocentrism than whom he is accusing.

We have allowed our leaders at the local and state levels to hide the blame of their inadequacies and divert our minds to ethnic bigotry all to enhance their selfish desires.

No northerner or Southerner is the cause of the nigerian problem, we have all failed ourselves.

Am sure the person that posted this didn't see the bottom part that said "these you ought to have done, without neglecting the others " pls does this "others" not include tithe.

Also if you remember the issue of temple tax, where christ said he was not supposed to pay because he is the son of God and used an instance of kings and princes, i feel that was actually tithe.

All those castigating nollywood movies have either not watched one in a long time or simply suffering from xenocentrism.

of course yes, for about #1000, i also think the major challenge is the lack of cinemas in most parts of the country.

PoliticsRe: Dino Melaye Arrested After Oduah-must-go Protest Today by s4short: 10:44am On Oct 24, 2013
The main reason why this country is backward is not corruption but the fact that nigerians do not think clearly, how does the minister's performance in office negate the fact that she may be guilty of fraud, someone is doing the little he can to move the move the country forward and another whose greatest contribution to national development is to comment on nairaland has the audacity to criticise him, it is very annoying.

TravelRe: Stay And Develop Your Country- Briton To Nigerian Youths by s4short: 12:44am On Aug 12, 2013
i totally agree wit dis piece especially d Education part cos d major problem in dis country is ignorance, dat is y d ignorant youth who feels he can make it in one day travels out forgetting dat people worked to build where they re going to, dat there are hungry people in d place they re going to, that pple re working hard and successfully building their lives in d place they re running from and that people need to build this country. We must maximise the opportunity of exposure made available to us in the form of the electronic media and internet to understand that 1. we are backward 2. No one or country is to blame but ourselves 3. We re d only ones that must stay and solve our problems. It is ur country nd regardless of anything there can be no greener pasture than nigeria for a Nigerian. We must understand that anyone who can make it outside this country especially in a place such as the U.K has what it takes to over make it in Nigeria.
