It's wiser for Kanu to ask his fellow separatists to contest election at all level of govt and after winning election, he can push hard for their independence throy SE Governor's forum, House of Reps and other stakeholders. US is very aware of his violent struggle of killing securities and his excessive ethno-religious hatred on other Nigerians. Great freedom fighters have soft & forgiving heart while standing firm for their cause that they speak with wisdom and protect the right of people but u can't just be chanting for war that u can't win and at the same time asking & buying for sympathy from people who know u better.

in international politics, you can't do without collaboration, that's exactly what's doing. If they seek for independent, he can't get it without collaboration with developed nations that has high influence on Nigeria. Again these countries can force Nigeria to terms with sanctions expecially most of our politics are centred on relationships with foreign partners like US and others. Anyways, that's his plan, let him do what works for him.
If we live in a country where every part of the country is giving fair hearing, treated equally in appointments, infrastructures etc there will not be any needs for division. Nigeria can works if the leaders want it to work if not disintegration is closer than unity.

A friend who works in a telecom servicing company owned by a G.O of a church in Lagos has had his life stagnated because the pastor has refused to pay them going to 4months now. The worst part is that he doesn’t deem it fit to explain to them why he can’t pay.
Can you believe that a man with 3 kids would trek kilometers to work and can’t even feed his children while the GM & MD (Both of them are pastors o!) keeps buying expensive cars and building his gigantic church?

He just recently laid the foundation for his school meanwhile he owes his workers salaries going to 4months by the end of may.

Section 20 of the Labour Act provides that in the event of redundancy, the employer shall inform the trade union or workers' representative concerned of the reasons and extent of the anticipated redundancy. The employer shall adopt the principle of "last in, first out" in the discharge of the workers affected, subject to all factors of relative merit, including skill, ability and reliability. This means workers who have been in employment longer will be considered for discharge before the latest workers to come into the employment. The employer shall use his best endeavours to negotiate redundancy payments to the discharged workers who are not covered under any regulation.

However, it is settled law that where the employment of workers is wrongfully terminated i.e. terminated against the provisions of the labour law or their contract of employment, the remedy available to the workers is for their benefits which would have accrued to them had their employment been legally terminated, to be paid to them. Apart from employment with statutory flavour (i.e. workers in civil service or other employments protected by statutes), it has been settled by Nigerian courts that the law or Court cannot foist a willing employee on an unwilling employer and vice versa.

Hence, an employer has a duty to furnish the workers with a notice stating the reasons for their discharge on the grounds of redundancy and comply with the "last in, first out" principle in the labour law in discharging the workers. Nevertheless, the employer has the right to consider other factors like the relative merit, skill, ability and reliability of the workers in reaching a decision on which of the workers to be discharged on grounds of redundancy. The employer has a duty to rely on international best practices to reach a redundancy payment to the discharged workers who are not covered by any existing regulation.

Regrettably, where a worker was wrongfully discharged on ground of redundancy, the worker is only entitled to his redundancy benefits as stated in the relevant Employment Contract, Collective Agreement or regulation. The worker does not have a right to reinstatement, loss earnings, emotional or psychological pain. This is because the Court cannot force or foist a willing worker on an unwilling employer.

China offered the LOAN meaning the govt does not need to pay cash upfront for the project, which it would have had to do if it hired a local Nigerian firm, assuming we had one that could execute the project.

Every loans from China comes with a clause of surrendering your sovereignty incase you default. A simple economic question you should ask yourself, can the projects repay the loans? Why is the project giving to Chinese company or are they no competent Nigeria engineers company that can handle the job? Let's talk with facts not assumptions, I have seen two contracts document relating to Nigeria loan from China signed by our government officials and the two major points I made above formed part of the contractual agreement.
