Romance › Must Read:applying These Principles From The Eagle Will Change Your Life Forever by saasala(op): 6:20pm On Dec 08, 2014
I found the following analogy on the Eagle very profound and believe that the lessons can inspire change in the right direction. These principles are based on a documentary of the Eagles on Discovery Channel. If you read this, peruse it deeply and apply these principles to your life, I am certain your life will take a new turn. Enjoy!

PRINCIPLE 1
Eagles fly alone at high altitude and not with sparrows or other small birds. No other bird can go to the height of the eagle. Stay away from sparrows and ravens. Eagles fly with Eagles. Who are you flying with and at what altitude?

PRINCIPLE 2
Eagles have strong vision. They have the ability to focus on something up to five kilometers away. When an eagle sites his prey, he narrows his focus on it and set out to get it. No matter the obstacles, the eagle will not move his focus from the prey until he grabs it. Have a vision and remain focused no matter what the obstacle and you will succeed.

PRINCIPLE 3
Eagles do not eat dead things. They feed only on fresh prey. Vultures eat dead animals, but eagles will not. Be careful with what you feed your eyes, ears and mind with especially negativities. Steer clear of outdated and old information... Always do your research well.

PRINCIPLE 4
Eagles love the storm. When clouds gather, the eagles get excited. The eagle uses the storm's wind to lift it higher. Once it finds the wind of the storm, the eagles uses the raging storm to lift him above the clouds. This gives the eagle an opportunity to glide and rest its wings. In the meantime, all the other birds hide in the leaves and branches of the trees. We can use the storms of our industry to rise to greater heights. Achievers relish challenges and use them profitably.

PRINCIPLE 5
The Eagle tests before it trusts. When a female eagle meets a male and they want to mate, she flies down to earth with the male pursuing her and she picks a twig. She flies back into the air with the male pursuing her. Once she has reached a height high enough for her, she lets the twig fall to the ground and watches it as it falls. The male chases after the twig. The faster it falls, the faster he chases it. He has to catch it before it falls to the ground. He then brings it back to the female eagle.

The female eagle grabs the twig and flies to a higher altitude and then drops the twig for the male to chase. This goes on for hours, with the height increasing until the female eagle is assured that the male eagle has mastered the art of catching the twig which shows commitment. Then and only then, will she allow him to mate with her.
You should test the commitment of your people, your customers and everyone intended for partnership.

PRINCIPLE 6
The Eagle Prepares for Changes. When ready to lay eggs, the female and male eagle identify a place very high on a cliff where no predators can reach. The male flies back and forth repeatedly to earth and picks thorns, collects twigs, picks soft grass and lays them on the crevice of the cliff where he intends to build the nest. Finally he then plucks his feathers to complete the nest. The thorns on the outside of the nest protect it from possible intruders. Both male and female eagles participate in raising the eagle family. She lays the eggs and protects them; he builds the nest and hunts. During the time of training the young ones to fly, the mother eagle throws the eaglets out of the nest. Because they are scared, they jump into the nest again.

Next, she throws them out and then takes off the soft layers of the nest, leaving the thorns bare. When the scared eaglets again jump into the nest, they are pricked by thorns. Shrieking and bleeding they jump out again this time wondering why the mother and father who love them so much are torturing them. Mother eagle next pushes them off the cliff into the air. As they shriek in fear, father eagle flies out and catches them up on his back before they fall and brings them back to the cliff. This goes on for sometime until they start flapping their wings. They get excited at this newfound knowledge that they can fly.

The preparation of the nest teaches us to prepare for changes; the preparation for the family teaches us that active participation of everyone leads to success; their being pricked by the thorns tells us that sometimes being too comfortable where we are may result into our not experiencing life, not progressing and not learning at all. Mediocre. The thorns teach us that we need to grow, get out of the nest and live on. We may not know it but the seemingly comfortable and safe haven may have thorns.

The people who love us do not let us languish in sloth but push us hard to grow and prosper. Even in their seemingly bad actions they have good intentions for us.

PRINCIPLE 7
The Eagle Knows when to Retire. When an Eagle grows old, his feathers become weak and cannot take him as fast as he should. When he feels weak and about to die, he retires to a place far away in the rocks. While there, he plucks out every feather on his body until he is completely bare. He stays in this hiding place until he has grown new feathers, then he can come out. We occasionally need to shed off old habits & items that burden us without adding to our lives.

Theses are interesting Principles. No wonder the Eagle is one of the most respected and celebrated amongst its species. What are your own principles and how far have they taken you? More importantly, what new principles are you going to start living and how far do you want them to take you?

I have read countless threads putting down short guys here. I am sure their self esteem has been tarnished, their inferiority complex has increased, their ego is diminished, their self-worth has waned, they now have no pride whatsoever.

Short guys, there's nothing wrong in being short, huh? Just go out and make yourself some money and you will be surprised that girls actually prefer short guys to the tall ones. Hustle well and make some dough, you will see your self esteem increased, your ego balanced, and your self-worth intact.

Romance › Advantages Of Being Funny by saasala(op):
I can say I am one of the funniest beings alive and I mean it, believe me, I am. If you doubt me, on request I will send you a video of myself making basket-mouth and bovy laugh in my dream. I am not much of a talkertive, though I talk pretty much, and when I do, you must laugh if I want you to.

Anyone can be funny, but not everyone can be a comedian. Being funny is learn-able, just like riding a bicycle. You can become a very funny person if you wish. There are loads of articles online that teaches how to be humorous. Just use google. Some people were not born funny, but they learned it and now its as easy as breathing in and breathing out to them.

1. You are happy. You are happy because you make people happy. I think I am one of the happiest guys in the world because of my sense of humour. When you see me, you see happiness radiating around me. I dont fake my smiles like the president of a green white green nation. The more I make people laugh, the more happy they become and the more happy I am. You cant imagine a poor person teaching you how to become rich. Only a rich person can make you rich. Only a happy person can transfer happiness. The happiest people in the world are the funny ones.

2. You are likable, loving and lovable. People will just like you and they wont be able to pinpoint why they do. If you are a guy, then you can go ahead and marry the daughter of an Arab Emir if you are funny. I am not a good looking guy, am not ugly though, am just there. I am the least handsome among my friend, but when we go out, at first the ladies abandon me for them, giving them faces and all that, but the moment I open my mouth to talk, they will start laughing, then they start falling for me. Father Abraham knows how many girls I have ****** because of my sense of humour. You have to be realy careful because you stand a high chance of messing up with your friends' girlfriends. All my friends' girlfriends love me to be around, they are always asking of me...where is asala, where is asala. I almost ****** one of my friends' girl because of my sense of humour but I called my self to order, I knew it would mar my relationship with my friend so I sa asala for my life, so take note. People will dash you money. Men, women, kids, everyone would love you....During an interview, just try to make your prospective employer chuckle a little and the job is yours. Dont mess up by trying to become a basket mouth

3. You will have a good self esteem. You become your own best friend, you will like yourself because people like you. Even when you dont have money, you feel you own the whole cosmos. You feel you are the best guy in the world because you are dating the hottest chick in town and you are sure Adolf Hitler would fall in love with you, where he alive to spend just 5 minutes with you. No one can talk you down because they know you will finish them with your humour.

4. You are a good lover and family man/woman: My dad was (I think he is still) a poor man, but a good father and husband because of his sense of humour. My Dad would make my mum laugh so much she would start shedding tears, or sharing tears like P. Jonathan would say. My mum couldnt keep a malice of 1 day with my dad, they will end it with laughter. We couldnt wait for our dad to come back from work every evening to make us laugh..Oooh, gone are those days. He still makes me laugh till date when I call him on phone or pay him a visit....My girlfriend always want to be around me, she always want to see me because there is no dull moment with asala, in fact she compelled me to write this post on NL. She must laugh, she must be happy. One of her friends saw my pic on her phone and she asked how in the world she fell for this not-so-good-looking-guy but when she met me, she understood because I made sure she laughed her ass out.

You can become happy, rich and fulfilled if you are funny and if you know how to use humour to your advantage....

Christianity Etc › Re: How Seed Sowing Is Tearing Marriages Apart In Christ Embassy by saasala(op):
mbaemeka: You were merely attending a CE church. You were not a member for if you were you would have known that CE is more than a church, it is a vision. If you go there and you don't catch the vision of the ministry you would feel lost and restive. It is only normal. You don't just wake up one morning and decide to go to a church, that's not how God leads people. It is like waking up one morning and telling yourself which of your neighbors houses you would go to have breakfast. That's spiritual vagrancy.

Let me just correct some of your falsities for the sake of posterity.

1. Anybody (even those not called of God) can mount the podium and teach on Adultery and fornication or indecent dressing. It will not change the fact that people will still do it. If you prevent them from entering the church, they will do it outside. So what have you achieved? So in CE, we don't complain about the darkness we just show you the light. That's a better approach and it has longer lasting implications.

2. If you believe that giving a first fruit to God denies you and your family the basic amenities you require, then CE wasn't the problem- your greed is. God gave his own firstfruit to you and it didn't deny him of any amenities, instead he gained more sons through him.

3. If the man gave his all what does that have to do with you or CE. Did they force him to give his all? If he didn't would they have ostracised him? What about the widows mite? What about the widow of Zarephath? Didn't they give their all? How is this a new act in the church? If you were ever in CE as long as you claim then what were you still doing there for 1...2...3...8 years for I am sure these type of givings were always done in all your stay? And the man deprived his wife because of this, the church told him that?

4. CE don't teach you how to give your fellow man? Are you sure you where in a CEC? Pastor Chris teaches that if you are in a house that has some unused rooms it is wrong for you to move to a bigger one. He teaches that we are to accommodate as many people as the house can take and only move to a new one when the capacity has been met. We raised more than $3M to help alleviate the challenges in Haiti during the earthquakes they suffered (no other church in Africa did as much). All our CEC around the world have innercity missions where we take homeless children and orphans. Feed them, clothe them, put them in schools etc. Their accommodation is even better than many other good institutions or orphanages etc. During RON we give cars and patrol vehicles to the police, we give ICT centres to prisons, we provide pipeborne water to rural communities etc.

I ask again are you sure that was a CEC?

5. Besides, all those arms of ministry that you claim belongs to Pastor Chris and Anita are lies. Neither of them gets a dime from the sales of any books and if you were a member for as long as you claim you ought to have known all these. Maybe you need to do some research and find out how expensive it is to host anything on the air via satellites or the Internet. When you do you would have the fear of God.

6. The award nights is for awards and not REWARDS. The awards are for recognition and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. The rewards for all labour towards God's people or his work is given by God and Pastor Chris teaches that profusely.

7. As for that your story I don't even know where to begin from. All I can sense is your greed. You have mentioned "deprived" like 100 times and it is to your shame. There was a sound guy that lived in Agbara and worked in CE Ikeja. One day one of the resident pastors told them that Pastor Chris wanted to have a meeting with the workers so they all assembled and waited to no avail. Hours went by and much later the Pastor came and called off the meeting saying the MOG was very busy. So this sound guy headed home by bus. When he was almost there the a friend of his who happened to be a fellow worker called him to say that Pastor Chris was on his way for the meeting. The sound guy thought to continue with his journey home but he remembered a pledge he had made to himself in the past that no day will come when Pastor Chris was meeting with them and he won't be there to attend so he turned back and attended the meeting.

Pastor Chris didn't teach or stay for long. He just asked each person what their roles were but when he got to the sound guy who introduced himself as so the MOG paused for some seconds and kept muttering "the sound guy, the sound guy. . .thank you lord". Then he asked him to go out and pick one of the 2 Brandnew SUV Landcruiser models that was parked outside.

I wonder how long the sound guy would have saved to get such a car yet he got it by just simple obedience. The things of God require such.

8. Again with all your talk about being forced to give Mr greedy man. Nobody can force you to give or make a pledge. If you didn't want to why did you do so? You ran away from church because of pledges you made. Funny guy. You remind me of someone who said he was leaving church because of the "immoralities" he was noticing. But when he left and stopped going to church he got 2 girls pregnant and lost his job. He wasn't noticing any immoralities- he was the immorality and God removed him from our midst. Amen. grin

Besides, 2007 January 1 to 2013/2014 is never 8 years no matter how dishonestly you try to calculate it. So let your tales by moonlight have better symmetry. And again learn the importance of praying in your closet about the perceived ills in the church, instead of subjecting her to public scorn like the children of destruction are known for. If you were a serious member for even 3 years you would have known all these things.
Here's my reply

(1) Why should I go to church to worship God and have my manliness erect, commit fornication in my mind because one of the choir members leading praise and worship would not cover her booobs. Instead of worshiping God, I start imagining myself sucking her booobs because her jerry curled pastor wouldnt correct her.

(2) The bible says "Honor the LORD from your wealth And from the first of all your increase" It means every time you are being increased or promoted in the office, sow the first part of your increase. i.e If you were earning 200k and your salary increased to 250k, sow the first 50k to God which is the first fruit of your increase. But they tell you to sow your first salary in the year at C.E

(3) Most people who gave everything didnt do so because they wanted to, they gave their all because they wanted to please the pastor. Example is the sheraton guy who stole the company's money to sow seeds. Shey God dey tell people make them go steal to come sow seed for church ni?

(4) C.E members would rather take the money to the church to be praised publicly by the pastor than give you the money. I know of more than 10 cases. The pastors dont tell the members to help one another, they tell them to sow seeds. Example is a sister who sowed all she had, later she needed about 50k to complete her rent because she was squatting with a friend who was showing her hell on earth, she told all her leaders and brethren, no one helped her, and she sees the same people coming out to give in hundreds of thousands every Sunday. She told me she left the church because of this

(5) It is written gbagada on Rhapsody of realities that Chris Oyakhilome and Anita (dont know what her new surname would be) owns it. They are the author, they are the owners. The author of a book owns the book and the money from the sales of the books goes to their account. If you sow a seed into ROR, you are sowing into their pockets

(6) Why then are people dying to receive the awards? I would rather let God award me than Chris Oyaks

(7) Do you know how much that guy must have given before getting that SUV?

( 8 ) People can force you to give without you knowing it when you see them as demi gods and worship them instead of the Almighty. They coax you, they dont coerce you.

So you no even go school,.. 2007(1) 2008(2) 2009(3) 2010(4) 2011 (5) 2012 (6) 2013(7) 2014( 8 )
