BEWARE. IT IS SNAKE SEASON! DUE TO THE HEATWAVE AND HIGH TEMPERATURES CURRENTLY IN NIGERIA, SNAKES, ESPECIALLY COBRAS, SEEK REFUGE IN COOLER PLACES LIKE INSIDE HOMES. SAFETY TIPS 1. Avoid leaving windows open for too long. Cobras and Mambas can reach heights that are very high. 2. Avoid leaving your front doors open for fresh air in the evenings. These reptiles are absolutely STEALTHY (too quiet). You won't hear or see them go inside your house. 3 Before sitting under the tree that has that cooling shade, check the branches that there are no snakes lurking in the branches. 4. Check your bed and surrounding before you go to bed, cobras are notorious for hiding under the sheets. 5. Avoid the age old trend of liking to chill outside of the house, with mattresses and wrappers in the evening. Most reptiles are nocturnal (hunt at night and more effective) 6. Not only snakes might bite you, but also the age old human enemy; the centipede (Mosithaphala), which is fast and very venomous. 7. Clear bushes round your house. They attract rats and mice which are the favourite snacks of the most dangerous snake’s favorite meal. 8. Buy snake repellent powder and pour it round your yard. You will definitely decrease the chances of a snake ever visiting your home by 90%. Beware of confronting snakes that get into your homes. Some snakes can be killed easily, others like the black mamba are very cocky. If threatened, they will chase you at an alarming speed and give multiple bites while still on the chase; and bitten victims may not live to see the next forty minutes. So, just be very careful when trying to kill those snakes. Stay well and be safe. It's snake season. It's very hot and they are highly active and get agitated and angry very fast. Keep sharing as you may be saving lives.

THAT THESE NORTHERNERS ARE QUIET AND CALM DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE WEAK. By Chigozirim Emeakayi They have been dared, abused, attacked, harassed, and demonised, yet they pretend as if they don't watch the news. Nope, these Northerners watch the news more than us the Southerners. They understand the consequences of war or tribal conflict, the Igbos and Yorubas living with them has been classified as their fellow Citizens, and they treat us right in the North because they understand the meaning of PEACE. They have nothing to loose if this tribal conflict breaks out, but still they are as calm as the lakes in the desert. In the past two days, they have raised funds for their evicted people from the South to be transported back to the North but they have not evicted anybody from the North. In the past two days, they have buried their people over there in the South, but no Southerner has been buried in the North over tribal attacks. I belive there is a limit to everything and everyone has a price, there is a limit to their Patience, endurance and understanding, I just hope we don't cross those limits and stop this madness. Let the recent crisis that has happened in this Country teach us that not all Notherners are evil, not all Yorubas are evil and not all Igbos are evil. Racial profiling must stop, we must fight the crime and leave the Tribe, we must prosecute the criminal and leave his or her brothers out of it. Between 2018 and 2019, huge number of kidnapped kids from the North were found in Southeast, you all can bear me witness that kids were kidnapped from Kano and Kaduna and then sold in Anambra and Imo States, yet these Northerners kept quiet. Let's all be calming down, no one is worst than the other, we all are humans and we are prone to making mistakes in life. Value the peace of mind you have today, don't throw that privilege away because of pride and ignorance. Let love lead. #stopkillingNortherners Chigozirim Emeakayi |

He, however, urged the staff to be dedicated, adding that together they would achieve more for the nation. The deputy CDI, Maj.-Gen. I am a Fulani man, but I can tell you that it doesn’t make sense for cows to be roaming the streets in 2021. Cows should be ranched on a land acquired or rented by the ranchers. By law, land can only be used through rent or purchase. Govt should step forward & clear this out. I believe, to reconcile the raging herders crisis is to open proper communication where each knows the laws of the land. All lands in Nigeria, including forests belongs to some entity, FG, SGs, LGs, Company’s or individuals. Thus no land can be used without proper authorization. The problem of the Fulani herders is a betrayal from the city Fulanis, who decided, after moving to cities, acquiring wealth & power, but forget to carry the village brothers along, leaving them in a desperate situation. The rich Fulanis must come together & get ranching lands. Land issue is as old as humanity, no any state power can give land to anyone where the land is been identified with owners for generations, without purchasing or renting. The rich Fulani’s must come together & assist our fellow brothers to get reaching land or forest for grazing. Else, this will be a breeding ground for a circlical conflicts, a very ripe situation for civil war. This must be avoided AT ALL COST |

Today’s victims were yesterday’s survivors and tomorrow’s victims are “us” reading this now and laughing. If something is not done now we will gather again to share sadness while those doing this continue with remorse. It’s not difficult for this administration to flush out these bad seeds but they have their hands in it. The day a child of an official will be touched that day boko haram will cease to exist. But as long as the victims are poor farmers, common man with no portfolios, it will always be mourning and merry. Wake up and do something now....

When billionaire Femi Otedola in a telephone interview, was asked by the radio presenter, "Sir what can you remember made you a happiest man in life?" Femi said: "I have gone through four stages of happiness in life and finally I understood the meaning of true happiness." The first stage was to accumulate wealth and means. But at this stage I did not get the happiness I wanted. Then came the second stage of collecting valuables and items. But I realized that the effect of this thing is also temporary and the lustre of valuable things does not last long. Then came the third stage of getting big projects. That was when I was holding 95% of diesel supply in Nigeria and Africa. I was also the largest vessel owner in Africa and Asia. But even here I did not get the happiness I had imagined. The fourth stage was the time a friend of mine asked me to buy wheelchair for some disabled children. Just about 200 kids. At the friend's request, I immediately bought the wheelchairs. But the friend insisted that I go with him and hand over the wheelchairs to the children. I got ready and went with him. There I gave these wheel chairs to these children with my own hands. I saw the strange glow of happiness on the faces of these children. I saw them all sitting on the wheelchairs, moving around and having fun. It was as if they had arrived at a picnic spot where they are sharing a jackpot wining. I felt REAL joy inside me. When I decided to leave one of the kids grabbed my legs. I tried to free my legs gently but the child stared at my face and held my legs tightly. I bent down and asked the child: Do you need something else? The answer this child gave me not only made me happy but also changed my attitude to life completely. This child said: "I want to remember your face so that when I meet you in heaven, I will be able to recognize you and thank you once again" What would you be remembered for after you leave that office or place? Will anyone desire to see your face again where it all matters? This got me thinking. I pray it does same to everyone.

Today, 19th Nov. four years has passed, since a beautiful jewel was taken away (abducted) from me. Since ur abduction four years ago, life has never been the same. My world has been on a standstill. Every day I wear a cheerful face, but right inside me is pain, anguish, and midnight sea of tears. The pain of an abducted child is far greater than a dead one. Khadija, the day of ur abduction ur mummy went in shock and the following day ur brother was delivered through cesarean section. For four years, I have never celebrated his birthday, because the pain of 19th Nov. is greater than the joy of the 20th. As I remember u today, my lovely daughter, I pray to Allah to guide and protect you where ever you are. Oh my dear Khadijah....
