PoliticsRe: Igbos Are Finally Uniting As Nigeria's Future Appears Bleak by Sadwaste(op): 4:50pm On Nov 29, 2023
Smart people can detect that Nigeria has no future. The last ditch attempt to save the dying nation through Peter Obi failed. Now, all hope appears lost.

If you've already invested in other parts of Nigeria, outside our homeland, cut your losses as much as you can.

If you're in the process or have plans of investing outside Igboland, stop and desist.

I have read the history of Sudan, USSR, Ethiopia, Yugoslavia etc, and I can tell you they all follow same pattern before eventually breaking up. Nigeria is equally following on the same path. Perhaps, it's just how nature or providence programmed it. But, anyone with functional brain cells can see we haven't evolved one bit since 1970, instead our situation continues to get worse. Tribalism we thought was gradually being jettisoned have returned fully like never before.

I see no way out for a lasting nationhood. It's only a matter of time now.

Another dumb bigot. How did Japanese, Korean and Chinese cars became so good to be able to compete with European and American cars? You think they were all same standards in the past or even now?

The difference between the wise and intelligent Asians and dumb hateful Blacks with crab mentality like you, is that they had focus and vision, and knew what they wanted. Today, they have arrived.

Igbos have same vision and focus like the Asians, but unfortunately, they're unequally yoked with barbarians like you, who want to remain unproductive and useless for life.

Spit!

flokii:
The Minister just made it clear why Government don't like patronizing likes of Innoson, you're here talking rubbish.

Is it toys that will end up in dustbins they are buying or vehicles for work?.. How many automechanics can repair Innoson motors compared to Toyota, Honda and likes?..

We have been saying it that assembling Chinese parts all in the name of manufacturing won't do likes of Innoson any good.. A time will come that nobody will buy his products again. Where are the spare parts? where is the warranty and after sales service?
Ditch emotions for logic and common sense my friend.

This thing here is one of the problems of Nigeria. He has cooked up lies to justify evil. Don't be surprised this thing is in one mud house in the South West.

So, same Innoson that bailed out Nigerian airforce sometime ago by fixing their parts can't fix their own vehicles? He can't even lie convincingly.

The so-called outfit you work for has no name? They bought 20 cars and 98% of them are packed in workshop with no spare parts to fix minor problems? What happened that made 19 out of the 20 cars to spoil at the same time and couldn't be fixed despite the issues being minor problems according to you?

The Innoson vehicles I see everywhere in the East, including those driven by our law enforcement agencies, who repairs it for them? Where do they get their own parts? How come their own vehicles are being driven everywhere daily without problem but 19 out of 20 bought by the imaginary company in your head are all packed in your father's mud house.

For lying against Innoson, you will never see good in your entire life!

Truckpusher:
It's not a lame excuse as most of you are insinuating here, though I understand we've made it a habit of not believing our Government because all they is to lie to us year in year out.

I work for an outfit that got more than 20 pieces of Innoson vehicles especially the IVM carrier and IVM granite model . As I'm typing this right now 98% of these vehicles are parked in the workshop with no spare parts to repair minor challenges. Imagine relying on that kind of manufacturer to provide vehicles for your entire fleet , it would become a logistic nightmare and will disrupt operations and to make matters worst the Innoson man himself is just your typical irresponsible Nigerian businessman who's not ready to make any tangible changes All he wants is to be paid without adding value to his vehicles year in year out after all he's fully aware that with the local content policy , we will always come around to patronize his greedy ass.

Cursed nation of fools. This goat parading as minister still has mouth to talk.

A so-called minister of trade and investments is the one completely demarketing Nigeria and its few surviving auto makers. Those African countries that were looking up to Nigeria to lead the way in auto production will now do what after hearing this foolish minister?

I curse these fools and their supporters for damaging Nigeria.

Just a few months in government and this bastard with no identity has destroyed Nigeria. If they fail to remove this crook and on time too, then the damage will be beyond repair.

I don't understand how the despicable old man claimed to have saved trillions from subsidy removal yet borrowing billions every day. He is not building any significant project whatsoever. He hasn't increased salaries and neither is he even paying the old salary timely. Yet he continues to borrow billions of dollars daily.

I don't blame the old criminal, after what can one expect from a drug lord and certificate forger. However, I curse the bigots and reprobates that supported this criminal because of tribalism or other foolish sentiments. They will suffer terribly till their deaths.

The great Oba of Benin went to Lagos on official visit. While in the presence of his host and other dignitaries, he lectured them about the history of Lagos and its Benin heritage. Because he spoke the truth or because his host, the governor of Lagos and others including traditional rulers, were afraid of him, they didn't object or say anything on the contrary. However, after the Oba of Benin returned to his kingdom, all manner of ill mannered kids and juvenile delinquents started insulting the great Oba of Benin.

If Sanwo olu and the others who were there couldn't challenge the Oba of Benin in his presence, even in their own ground, then why all these noise now? It is pure cowardice and childish acts to be insulting the great Oba of Benin online and everywhere just because he lectured Sanwo olu and other Yorubas about the history of Lagos.

There are lots of evidence and irrefutable facts that show Oba of Benin was 100% right in his claims. That some yorubas are crying blood is also an indication that Oba of Benin spoke facts, after all truth is said to be very bitter!

The funny thing is that most of those crying over this issue are not even from Lagos State. History is stubborn and can't be changed, especially when it's fully documented!

I don't see the great Oba of Benin raising an army to invade Lagos and reclaim it. Such can't happen in modern times. The last episode of such was in Illorin and that happened a couple of centuries back.

Enough of the insults on the great Oba of Benin. He only spoke facts and insulting him shows lack of respect to constituted authority as well as lack of home training.

PoliticsRe: Anambra: The Largest Indigenous Industrial Hub In Nigeria (picture) by Sadwaste: 6:02pm On Nov 27, 2023
IamAtikulate:
Ogun is not the most industrialized.

If it's, how come it is not reflected in the common masses. Again, Onitsha Main Market alone has more multi-millionaires than all those industries in Ogun.

How many millionaires can you find in Dangote, Lafarge, and all those foreign companies in Ogun.

Do you even understand what capital flight is?

If Dangote makes #1 billion in Ogun as profit, he will pay 350 million as taxes. Let assume another 350 million goes into personnel and recurrent cost, he will be left with 300 million which he will repatriate to Kano or outside Ogun.

Ogun will receive only a tiny of this tax. The only thing that goes into the Ogun economy is the workers' salary since most of them will spend the money in the state.

So, nothing substantial goes to Ogun from all the heavily industrial activities in the state.

Now, if Stanel Group makes 1 billion, they actually reported that.

If they 350 million as taxes and 300 million as recurrent expenses, 300 million will remain in Anambra.

So, Anambra gets more from ongoing industrial activities than Ogun.

No country develops by relying heavily on 70% FDI. No state develops by relying on 100% DDI.

SW claims to have the highest IGR, yet it's not reflected in their villages because the owners of the money took them away after each fiscal year.
You need to make a thread out of this and educate those primitive mud house dwellers. Ogun state is industrialized according to them, yet the state has the worst roads in Nigeria. The state has the worst rural areas and even the worst urban centers.

What happened to all the money generated in the so-called industries? 100% repatriated outside the state. The other day, a community in Ogun state was celebrating electricity for the first time!!! Can you imagine that!!!huh?

They should continue celebrating Chinese, Indian and Igbo industries while their region remain stuck in 17th century.

Pakute:
SE Governors collect federal allocations, security votes, some collect 13% oil derivation, yet nothing to show for it, instead, there has been a ridiculous increase in the rate of migration out of the region yearly. Who bears the burden of this migration? of course the welcoming hosts. These hosts across the Southwestern and Northern region are heavily overburdened with migrant population every year. With the exception of Lagos and SS states, everyother states collect almost an equal amount of allocation. The SW and Northern Governors cater to too much population in their respective states than the SE Governors who do nothing but to divert monies into their private pockets while their little population are being neglected. With a little population and a large expanse of empty and ungoverned areas and a large number of empty and unoccupied buildings scattered across the SE, it is safe to say these economic burdens are being transferred to the Governors of others regions. These Governors need to be compensated
