So biblical citations have 1914 in them? All I see here is damage control. If it were another denomination that made this blunder no rationalization would have been accepted by JWs as such would become their headlines in Awake week after week.
LOL.Chill,bro.
Did you read the article?

I asked you if those challenges are peculiar to just JW and not to evangelicals?
How many evangelicals engage in door-to-door preaching and continue unbowed even when doors get slammed in their faces?

And the activities of evangelical Christians are not banned in those same countries? But evangelicals still send people there. They kill us, but we keep going. These are people who are not afraid to die for the gospel.

JW waits in the sidelines for the evangelicals to make converts then they come in and confuse.

Jw hardly have any redemptive mesaage to deliver to a lost sinner, none whatsoever.

I almost was lost into you guys. At the brink of it, God saved me.
Read this:
www.quora.com/what-is-it-like-to-be-a-Jehovahs-Witness-in-a-Muslim-country-For-eg-in-Iraq-or-Iran-or-Saudi-Arabia .

The 3rd paragraph should show you the type of challenges JWs in hostile countries weather,so your assumption that they wait for "evangelicals" to pave the way is unfounded.

Deadlytruth:
For any true believer in Christ only the prophesies recorded in the Bible, whether literal or symbolic can be trusted. As far as this 1914 prophesy is not in the scriptures, then it is based on human knowledge and human wisdom thus invalid and meaningless spiritually.
Check the link for biblical citations.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Not Get The Perspective Of Jehovah's Witnesses? Ask Ur Questions Here. by SaffronSpice: 9:27pm On Sep 14, 2016
Deadlytruth:
This does not answer the question.
Neither the disciples in Acts nor the Thessalonians had a wrong expectation as their expectations were both found in the scriptures (Old Testament). What was wrong about their expectations (prophecies in the actual sense) was time of fulfilment. In both cases Jesus and Paul respectively made them understand that their expectations were correct but that were going to happen much later in the future. This is not same with the JWs whose expectation was nowhere to be found in the scriptures but purely man-made and hence failed to happen and never likely to happen in future. That is the context in which the first guy accused you people of being associated with mistakes.
The statement about 1914 was symbolic and not a literal prediction as wrongly believed.

1914 is considered to be the year that marked the begining of the last days;you'll be convinced that it came to pass if you study the timeline of that year.

The most conspicous proof being World War I started on July 24 1914.

Hmmmmmm. My evangelism is second rate, yours is first rate right? How many Islamic countries do u send missions to?
All you wen u go out is arguement, wen u meet Bible based believers, you get thrown off balance and promise to return but never do.
The activities of JWs are banned in some Muslim countries.
You'll find JWs in any country in the world whose citizens are willing to listen to the tru..

Hahahahahahahahahaha. Are u denying your leader now?
He asked you a question.Answer it.

I think you need to understand the hierarchical structure of the Jehovah's Witnesses is different from that of other Christian churches where you have professional pastors, the others, and the G O at the top.

The Organisation was started by a group which Russell was a part of
and played a major role in,but that does not make him the founder.

We dont even bow to God needless to mention bowing to a bleaching human.
There is no problem in being dumb, but don't try to sound reasonable while at it.

Yorubas are taught to respect their peers, elders, monarchs, and The Almighty.
The importance of the bodily postures assumed in the process is known only to an Omoluabi.
That you belong to a culture whose people woun't bow to God is your problem not ours.

Variation is the reason why the Alaafin is fair in complexion;not everyone suffers from the type of low self-esteem that makes you find succour in a case of bleaching cream.

Amala is the type of food you want to eat a few wraps with plentiful soup and chunks of meat.
Admittedly,a lot of it can leave your tongue feeling clammy, but if you get the wraps to soup ratio right - your palates will never remain the samewink.

Their recent brazen behaviours are distasteful to say the least.
If they have want to slaughter themselves, they should return to their region to do that.

puskin, naijacutee, FOD, dominique, Consultville

There is a historical inaccuracy in this write-up. It is gravely misleading because there was never a time triplet were an abomination in Yorubaland
I really must commend you for daring to differ.

I was also confused when I read that part of the story since Igbo Ora and by extension the Yorubas have the highest incidence of twin birth in the word.

Mutiple birth have always been celebrated through orikis and sculptures;I have also never heard of any aspect of Yoruba culture that supports the killing of a triplet.

There are some outlying cases of parents who kill one their triplets due to lack of resources to take care of all of them, but this practice is not a part of any known Yoruba tradition.
